Texas police officer gives man $100 along with ticket
A charitable police officer in Texas is being honored by his coworkers after he gave a man $100 in addition to a citation.
Fox2Rio reports 25-year-old Hayden Carlo was pulled over by the officer because his registration was expired. Carlo said he told the officer he was struggling financially, and had to choose between updating the registration and feeding his children.
The officer handed Carlo a ticket, but when Carlo later opened it he found an $100 bill inside. He tells Fox2Rio he was able to update both his and his wife's registration with the money.
Though the officer does not want to be identified, his coworkers are reportedly planning on honoring him for his generosity.
Such a heart-warming story...
ReplyDeleteJust a guess, but I bet Hayden Carlo treated that officer with respect when he got that citation, even though he was broke.
ReplyDeleteGreat story! I'll bet this officer does not want any "kudos" for his kindness.
ReplyDeleteGoodness is also alive.
ReplyDeleteThe policeman is copying the one who gave that drunken tramp his free sh0es!!!!!! Publicity campaign nonsense!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf the cop was "genuine"it WOULDN'T have issued the ticket.
ReplyDeleteThe officer was just doing his/her job. The kindness comes from the heart.
ReplyDeleteAny act of kindness is appreciated. This obviously meant a great deal to this person for them to go to the news to report it. The officer followed the law and issued the ticket but he also gave the driver the money to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice, positive, report. Thank you.
How can any of you slam this man for an act of kindness? He was doing his job and acting out of kindness from his heart. Good grief.
ReplyDeleteOMG, a rash of kindness breaks out and threatens the cynicism and misanthropy of Anon @12:23!
ReplyDeleteWe cannot let this go on, copycat kindness! Freaking moral decay...?!!
A tapestry of justice!
ReplyDeleteThe "cop"knew if he "did his duty"yet pretended to have a heart he'd become an Internet hero!!! If these cops STOPPED harassing innocent people and caught a few REAL villains possibly just possibly the public may stop hating these vile creatures!!!
ReplyDeleteThe doughnut eating cop should have drunk his coffee brushed the doughnut crumbs off his bloated thighs and chased a few criminals instead of creating a myth about himself.
ReplyDelete@ anon 6:14 am if you are going to insult an act of kindness please learn proper English before doing so!
ReplyDeleteI agree anon 8:46!
