Hailey Dunn: The Anxiety of Waiting

"I'm driving in a stolen car...waiting to get caught."  Bruce Springsteen

There is the self destructive fatalism of the one driving the stolen car, not fully enjoying the comfortable ride of the fancy, expensive car, because, as he knows, it is just a matter of time before he gets caught.

Last month, remains were found in Scurry County, the county that Shawn Adkins informed investigators that they should be looking in.

We also disclosed that a particular article of clothing was found near the remains that strongly suggests that the remains belong to Hailey Dunn, as well as the comment that DNA would not be difficult to retrieve from a reliable commentator.  As we covered on Crime Wire, "point hunter" who revealed himself to be Curtis Lloyd, was truthful (as seen through the lens of Statement Analysis) in his descriptions.

People have posted false identities in the past, including those who claimed to be Shawn Adkins.  When asked "how do you know you are now not being fooled?" the answer remains the same:  Statement Analysis. Truth was discerned; it is the same principles followed in all claims made.

When we are able to reveal more detail, we will.  We are not in a 'race' of sorts with local media, it is just that with any sensitive information, we want to know that justice is always unimpeded.

Consider that our impatience is that of the public; a public who was appalled to learn of the details disclosed in the police affidavit, as well as the responses thrust upon us by the victim's mother, who has made many appearances on television and radio, finally charging the police with conspiracy against her and her boyfriend, whom the police have named "Persons of Interest."

What of them?  What of their waiting?  Wait of the anxiety they must be experiencing?

As noted in the language ("the statement is alive, but the subject is dead") the mother distanced herself, within the statement, from December 27th 2010 10PM, and onward.  From this point, the victim's mother said things like "I had David text her" and "I did not touch her" and "she looked like she was sleeping" and even had her son text Hailey's girlfriend to tell Hailey...
Even while allegedly at a "sleep over" the same mother who called herself "wonderful" could not bring herself to say:

"I called her to talk to her..."
"I called  to see if she was okay, since I had not heard from her."
"I called her to correct her for getting permission to sleep over"
"I called to say goodnight..."
"I called to tell her I love her"

She did not "call" Hailey that afternoon where she allegedly said "tell my mom I am sleeping at Marybeth's...", nor did this "wonderful" mother call her that night.  In fact, the mother did not say, what  might be expected:  what her last conversation was like with Hailey.

I would love to ask her, "Tell me about the last time you yourself spoke to Hailey" without warning, so that she would have to enter the Free Editing Process.

This "moving on" was seen in her statements, but it was also in her behavior:

the victim's mother "moved on" with her life because she had to do so to survive.  Recall the "tell tale heart" beating louder and louder, driving the killer into madness...I think that as long as she was able to keep talking to the media, she kept the noise of the beating heart down.  Now, she has gone silent, like her attorney wanted her to, and it must be madness waiting for both her and Shawn Adkins.

The victim's mother sold Hailey's dog.
The victim's mother painted Hailey's room.
The victim's mother changed phone numbers and "announced" it on television so "Hailey" would "know" that her mother has a different phone number...and, by the way,

the mother moved away and has a different address.  Did she publicly announce that, too?

This was a "moving on" in Behavioral analysis but it started in the statement, bled over to the watching of television instead of searching, the New Year's Eve party, the out partying, sexting, and getting in trouble.

Now, she and her former boyfriend have more "moving on" to do.

What does one do when one is expecting an arrest?

An arrest means that mobility, something we likely do not think about much, will be severely restricted, beginning with the wearing of handcuffs, leaving one quite vulnerable.

Next, they will be taken to a place in which they do not wish to go, and be given clothing they do not wish to be wearing.

How does one prepare for this?

What must the anxiety of waking up, every day, wondering if this will be a day in which my plans go forward, or is it the day I have lived dreading?  Thinking in pragmatic terms:

Do they pack their belongings?
Do they attempt to settle up affairs?  What do you say to the landlord?
What do they do with their belongings?  Clothing, shoes, personal belongings?  It is not like one can pack a suitcase for jail, and in spite of what attorneys promise...what about bail money?
Place David with relatives?
Seek to get bail money together from relatives?
Do they visit with relatives and prepare them for the news?  Do they continue to maintain the deceptive sleep over story, or has it grown wearisome in the soul to keep up the same changing story?

Do they hold garage sales to sell off what they have for cigarette money in jail?  Do they sell the things they think others will only steal, anyway?
Do they have anyone who can store their belongings?

As you read this, look around your home.  What would you do if you were facing the rest of your life in prison?  What would you do with the things that are dear to you?
Would either of them sell things to provide for David?  He is a young man who should be in college, yet his mother and grandmother might be in jail together?  What kind of legacy is that for him to live with?

Recall the Maine man who had shot and killed the Florida firefighter/drug dealer.  He drove to say goodbye to his grandmother, knowing that he was going to spend the rest of his grandmother's natural life in prison.  It was a very sad day for his grandmother, who kissed her grandson goodbye, knowing that likely, she would never see him again.  (in that case, at the initial hearing, his supporters came out wearing t-shirts proclaiming his innocence.  There were no supporters there last week when he pled guilty).

What about Adkins' grandmother?  Does he say "goodbye" forever to her?  His family is limited in means and they do not have a free hot shot attorney to represent him.

Even in the cause of justice, there is sadness; enough sadness to spread around.  While we may rejoice that justice for Hailey is come, what of, for example, the grandmother of Shawn Adkins' pain?  Justice is best served with a sober and heavy heart. If not for the taunting of Billie Dunn, her attorney might have had a chance at gaining sympathy for her, but with her saying,

"The important thing people need to remember is to not slander me" and 101 other narcissistic antagonistic statements with similar "me first" echoes.  Billie Jean Dunn repeatedly publicly chose Shawn Adkins over Hailey, even as people supporting her begged her not to.  It was who she is.
"Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."  It is a matter of listening and learning.

All the while, they both must consider making a deal to testify against the other, but now, having waited so long, will prosecution even accept a deal?

Whatever we may feel in waiting for justice, imagine what others are feeling, waiting daily for the same justice.  The perpetrators of the crime must feel anxiety, but so do the perpetrators' families, some of whom have endured the last two years of shame, knowing how friends and neighbors exchange knowing glances when they pass them in the supermarket.  They suffer too.

What Hailey suffered is what must be answered for, yet the attendant suffering continues and will continue.  Even those who emotionally and physically wore themselves down searching, or investigating the case suffer.  Recall what John Douglas experienced in his search for a killer; it almost killed him.  Consider the suffering that Susan Murphy Milano carried with her, long before her diagnosis, when her body was silently fighting off vicious memories of her putting herself in harm's way to sacrifice herself to save her siblings.

There are family members, on both sides, who will suffer from the selfish and perverted action taken by those who killed Hailey.  Family likely saw the slippery desensitization process those two went through getting deeper and deeper into the darkness of horror, and the growing fascination with blood; knowing they had to deaden their own consciences with drugs...drugs that Billie Dunn once eschewed and refused to get involved in.

Drugs stole the souls, but yes, the souls were open prey to being stolen by the slow, dangerous and vile 'grooming' they did to themselves, to one another, and eventually, to the innocent young victim, who's voice cries out for justice.

Although the cries of others is heard, it is Hailey's voice that is just a little bit louder, and a little bit clearer, and who's response appears to be, now, at hand.

My guess is both Billie and Shawn are waiting in fear for the knock on the door. I don't see either of them coming forward to make plea bargain until they arrested. I can't imagine the agony Clint, his mother and Shawn's mother and grandmother are going through right now. Nor the agony of the loved ones of the others who missing in this area. We are all frustrated by the lack of answers and lack of arrests but we are not waiting to hear if our loved has been identified.

Oh, and Peter, don't worry about racing to beat local media. Based on their MO throughout this whole case it will be out on Facebook and this site before they have anything to report.

I haven't been able to follow a lot of the cases these past few months. Did something happen re the grandmother? (BJD's mom?) Why would she be included in arrests?

I find it conspicuous that BJD has been uncharacteristically quiet. Also, not much has been said about David because he was a minor when Hailey "went and disappeared". So we automatically left him out of the analysis (besides the fact that he hadn't made any public statements.) Yet he did not search or coordiante anything at school along with the rest of the schoolmates. Thinking back, David left to sleepover at his friend's around 10:00. Do you think he was a witness and efforts were made to "protect" him by having him removed from the scene? Remember we all though it odd that at his age (15 at the time) he would just be heading out at 10:00PM to his friend's house to sleep. (If my teenager came to me asking to sleepover at a friend's house that late, I'd have them made arragements for another night.) Did he call his friend for the s/o or was he invited to do so. Was he part of the conspiracy? Maybe what "happened" happened earlier ...

I'm just speculating based on reported past behavior. Some of us thought that a third person was involved in the cover-up. David *could be* the missing link given his reported very tight relationship with his mom. He may be protecting her/covering for her.

Also, a lot of 15 year olds can be lazy/moody/surly. Maybe it's wrong of me to paint with a broad brush, but the adult players in this case are all pretty mouthy and defiant. I don't think it's unreasonable to imagine the offspring being at a minimum mouthy to their parent/s too. When BJD told David to call MB to tell Hailey that it was time to come home, he never asked why she couldn't do it herself. I found his compliance "unexpected" given his environment. Or why she wouldn't ask for the number herself in order to call Hailey directly because BJD hadn't spoken to Hailey at all for a couple of days. I also find her behavior "unexpected".

Nic,
I have often wondered about David in all of this. The only statement I am aware of from him was recounting the story about coming home, banging on the door, having to come in through a window and seeing Shawn with a deer in the head lights look. The fact that he never searched or participated in anything at school caught my attention right from the start. My guess is we won't have a statement from him unless he is on the stand.

Just waitin' said...

Who did David actually tell that Shawn had the deer in the head lights look?

Nic said...

Just waitin',

BJD reported that's what "David said". Which has me wondering, now. Were BJD fighting at the time (i.e., was this around the time she found out about his "disloyalty"/fooling around on her,) and was this her way of threatening to throw SA under the bus? As in two (Dave/BJD against one?) She orchestrated so many appearances between TV/radio/print, it's hard to remember what happened when. Though, thinking back, it would be weird that she would insinuate SA was up to no good when she said that she "couldn't helped who she loved" and went as far as to lie to LE that he wasn't at her place.

Thank you, Local anon.

Something not right about that statement. It does sound like BD is insinuating Shawn was up to no good.

Wonderful article. I hope Billie and Shawn are sweating bullets waiting for that knock on their door, frozen in fear that they will finally be held accountable for their heinous actions. I doubt they are though. In Billies eyes the world revolves around her. Her overconfidence in her ability to deceive wont let her brain realize that she will indeed be feeling the sting of a needle very soon. She not only seeks to deceive others but herself as well. Shawn isn't quite her caliber but I'm sure he has total faith in Billie's plan that they wont ever be charged for their crimes. I'm sure that over the years they have both been lulled into complacency that they have outsmarted everyone. New towns. New lives. But the clock is winding down.
If there's any justice in the world they will pay for taking away Haileys life.

Anonymous said...

The wait is driving me nuts, so I can only imagine what they must be going through. HOWEVER - we must also remember that they don't look at things the way most of us do.

Again, they think they are smarter than everyone else, and for that reason, think that whatever fix they find themselves in, they can outsmart their way out of it.

off topic Daniel Porter, 25

Zainea said after the hearing that she was satisfied with Porter’s pleading guilty to manslaughter. Under the plea agreement, the state is recommending Porter be sentenced to 30 years in prison with all but 20 years suspended, and four years of probation. Defense attorney Jeffrey Silverstein is free to argue for a lesser sentence.

I wonder if anything will happen to tonya perdomo?
In her presser her body language was way off (lots of lip compression/biting,and hair grooming) and her own words causd me to think she knows why he was going there was off, throwing up a couple of red flags.
At the time i suspect she knew about the drug dealing which makes me wonder how far was she involved?

She sticks mainly to present tense but past tense slipped in when she said helping is something he always did.

She introduces a normal conversation, when someone introduces normal it indicates it was anything but.
Anything in the negative is sensitive.
She tells us what she doesn't know not what she does.

Very powerful Peter.

It's sometimes easy to forget, when reading about these cases, that there are people on the periphery who are not involved, who are family and friends who love these people and will be hurt. I even have sympathy for BJD, for the child she once was and what she experienced growing up. To be clear, the sympathy I feel in no way means I condone, accept or excuse what she has become and done as an adult who is responsible for her own actions.

The last time she heard from her husband was the evening of Feb. 16, when he told her he was on his way to a friend’s house. After that, she heard nothing, Zainea told the court.

Tonya Perdomo eventually looked up the telephone bill and retrieved the last number that Perdomo had called. It was Daniel Porter’s, and she called and texted him 26 times to try to find out where her husband was.

“He texted her back, indicating that Jerry was going up north with Lisa,” Zainea said.

But Tonya Perdomo was worried, and ended up contacting the Bangor Police Department to tell them her husband was missing.

The police investigation ultimately revealed that on the day he was killed, Perdomo packed a gun and two cellphones and told Gould that he had to go collect a debt, according to Maine State Police Detective Brian Strout, who testified at Porter’s bail hearing last March at Waldo County Superior Court.

Porter’s girlfriend, Cheyanne Nowak, met Perdomo at a Route 69 gas station and led him to the rural Jackson home where Porter was staying.

She then left the house to pick up her toddler while the two men were inside playing pool together, Zainea said Wednesday.

Porter later told police that he had owed Perdomo $3,000 and that Perdomo had threatened him and his family. One of the alleged threats was made public during Porter’s bail hearing. At that time, he said Perdomo offered to erase $500 from the debt if Perdomo could rape Nowak on the pool table.

After Porter shot Perdomo, he wrapped the body in blue tarps and borrowed a friend’s truck to move it several miles into the woods near his grandmother’s home on Dahlia Farm Road in Newburgh, Zainea said.

Nearly two weeks later, after a widespread search effort that included local police, wardens and firefighters from Florida, police found the body on a red sled off a woods path.

The day before they found Perdomo’s body, police obtained a search warrant for the Jackson home and found bone fragments and bloodstains. They arrested Porter then, though some statements he made just before his arrest were ruled inadmissible last week by Justice Murray because of Porter’s level of intoxication at the time.

Tonya Perdomo did not want to comment after Wednesday’s hearing, but a victim witness advocate said the widow likely would want to speak after the sentencing hearing.

I find now when i read a story about a missing child or adult, where a crime has occurred such as burglary etc and the first words out of the victim/parents mouth include the number three, MY alarm bells go off, and, oft times if they give a time i find myself saying there will be three individuals in there somewhere.
Sometimes, sadly it is so predictable, it's like they follow a script and i am one scene ahead.

I read about an alleged UFO sighting that was released recently. I saw the words three UFO's and i just knew that inside each one would be three aliens and they would be three feet tall, lo and behold i was right.

Thanks to Peter i now circle the pronouns and missing pronouns in the books i read, look for temporal lacuna, sentences beginning with and and so on, especially in autobiographies and in the media. Grrrrrrrr

But we are not awaiting life sentences in prison, public ridicule and humiliation. For those who are I hope the waiting is crushing and unbearable.

Justice will come, and it will be rewarding when it does.

Two Georgia teenagers have pleaded not guilty to murdering a baby who was shot in the face during what authorities described as an attempted street robbery.

Both De'Marquise Elkins, 17, and Dominique Lang, 15, are charged as adults.

Authorities say Elkins fatally shot 13-month-old Antonio Santiago in his buggy as Elkins and Lang tried to rob the child's mother on the street a few blocks from her Brunswick apartment.

Prosecutors were not allowed to consider seeking the death penalty because Georgia law prohibits it for defendants charged with crimes before age 18.

The baby's mother, Sherry West, has said she was pushing her son in his buggy a few blocks from her apartment in Brunswick on March 21 when two youths approached asking for money.

When she refused, she said, one of them drew a gun and shot her in the leg before shooting her baby in the face.

An indictment charging Elkins on nine counts, including malice murder, identified him as the person authorities accuse of pulling the trigger. Lang was charged with seven counts, including felony murder, as an accomplice. Both face life in prison if convicted.

Police arrested both teenagers within a day of the shooting.

Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering has said information from Elkins' mother and older sister helped lead investigators to a small saltwater pond where they recovered a .22-caliber handgun suspected of being used in the slaying.

Elkins has also been charged in a second shooting and robbery attempt 10 days before the baby was killed.

An indictment says Elkins pointed a gun at Wilfredo Calix-Flores while demanding his mobile phone and wallet, then shot the man in the arm with the same caliber gun used to kill the baby.

Pointhunter, as hard as it is for the rest of us here to think of Hailey being neglected, abused and murdered by the ones that should have protected her and as hard as it is to wait for Justice for her, other than her family I can't imagine anyone being as anxious to see justice for her as you and LE are, having personally seen the sad evidence of an innocent life cut short as you have seen it. I'm happy for Hailey and sad for you that you found (presumably) her remains. More of the fallout that Peter spoke of from this horrific crime.

Hailey Dunn received the death penalty without the benefit of a judge, an attorney, a defense, a jury, professionals, and expert witnesses. She does not get to speak in court because she didn't survive the attack.

BD and SA, who survived the attack, will get all the protections under the law. They will have due process, unlike Hailey. They are adults, unlike Hailey, who was a child.

I understand that some people don't agree with the death penalty. That's fine. Maybe it is contradictory to call for the death penalty against a murderer. I wont argue with that point, part of me agrees. However, the law is the law. Citizens must abide by the letter of the law. If a citizen does not like a law they have the right to go to their state representative and petition to have that law changed. This is America.
This is not a 'witch hunt'. This is not a vigilante group. We are people expressing opinions. Not everybody agrees all of the time. That's fine.
There are 2 or more sides to every story. But lets look at just a few facts-
1.) Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother failed a polygraph.
2.)Shawn Adkins, the last person purportedly to have seen Hailey alive failed 2 polygraph test.
3.)Law enforcement had enough probable cause to execute search warrents to search for evidence from Billie Dunn's residence and Shawn's mothers house.
3.) Billie Dunn has shown deception in her statements.
4.)Shawn Adkins has shown deception in his statement.
5.)law enforcement eliminated other persons of interest as possible suspects with the exception of Billie Dunn and Shawn Adkins.
6.)skeletal remains were found in the area that Shawn Adkins had suggested.
7.)there has been no confirmed sighting of Hailey Dunn since December 26, 2010 by a non
person of interest.
We don't know what physical evidence the police may have recovered but haven't released to the public. We can only speculate.
If Billie Dunn and Shawn Adkins are responsible for the murder of Hailey Dunn they are subject to punishment by Texas law. They committed the crime in Texas and knew that the maximum punishment if they are found guilty in a court of law is death.
Asking for the harshest penalty in a crime against a child is not only reasonable but mandatory.

I will not argue the merit of the death penalty as I live in Texas and my fellow citizens have chosen this as a means to an end. Whether or not I agree or disagree is not up to me but it is up to my God. This is an intelligent post and you have chosen to stick to the facts of the case instead of embellishing and for that I commend you. Many people fail lie detector tests which is why they are not admissible in a court of law. That is also a fact. If this ever enters a court of law I think you will be surprised to see that there will be others called on the carpet for breaking laws and I think you might be surprised at whom some of those others might be.

SHAWN ADKINS: Because I believe in my heart that she had nothing to do with it just as well as I did. And like I said, I believe that she had nothing to do with it and if she made a plea bargain that would be implicating her guilt on it and that would just totally ruin me to know that she made a plea bargain.

Freudian slip: I believe in my heart (as opposed to what he knows in his head) that she had nothing to do with it (it being non specific) JUST AS WELL AS I DID.

Wow.

Here you go. I'm reading the Websleuths thread I found and which I linked John to re the Christmas pic with DD in it. Someone linked SA's interview with Bring Them Home. It's an interesting read.

3 the search warrants were to cover what LE had collected during searches which Billie gave permission for.
per the prejudge a suspect as deceptive and affirm a presumption of guilt before the interrogation process has even begun, is why they "failed" their polies because LE did not know the answers before they asked them. the discrepancies were due to LE disclosing false evidence to Billie between her and Shawn's polies that gave Billie a different knowledge of events than Shawn's.
the other POI's were wrongfully eliminated also due to LE's fabricated evidence. reverse that and there is confirmed sightings of Hailey after the time Shawn last saw her.

If I remember correctly, Hailey's step mother said that she saw Hailey that day but later recanted her story. There was a hair dresser who also allegedly saw her as well as others. Something stinks in this case.

Polygraphs are an investigative tool. Nothing in this world is 100% effective in discerning lies from the truth. In any human endeavour there is always room for error. If I were innocent of a crime, was given a polygraph and failed, you know what I would do? Ask for another polygraph. Right then and there. I would have the option to walk away and say 'oh well there was something wrong with the machine/administrator/nerves/the chair I was sitting in etc..' rather than protest and say 'no. Wait. Lets go through this again. I'm innocent of (insert allegation). We need to sort this out. Test me again. Right here and now. This isn't just a game, this affects my life.' If I was innocent I wouldn't just say I'd lost all faith in the test and go on about my merry way.

elf, Jesus's words found in Luke
Jesus answered, “If I tell you, you will not believe me, 68 and if I asked you, you would not answer. 69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.”

70 They all asked, “Are you then the Son of God?”

He replied, “You say that I am.”

71 Then they said, “Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.”

August 12 1992 Tracy Ann Pickett missing from Joplin mo. I'm not her mother. I babysat Tracy and her two sisters on a regular basis for over two years and I'm still close friends with her family to this day. I saw Tracy the day before she went to her friends house. The kids at her friends house were all around Tracy's age range that night except for one man. He was older, had a van, and bought the party supplies. When I talked to two of her friends that were there that night, they said that the morning after the party Tracy wanted a change of clothes and the man offered to give her a ride to her moms apartment. She left her shoes and her purse at her friends house because she was coming back. No one has seen Tracy since.
No. I'm not a parent of a missing child. But I was there with her mother afterwards. I saw the devestation with my own eyes. At first Tracy was classified as a runaway. My boyfriend and I talked to a neighborhood print shop owner and they donated a thousand fliers with tracys information, her picture, a desription of both the man and the van, and his license plate number for us to hand out and hang up. We (Tracy's family and friends) know she wasn't the type to run away. Joplin police came to my house the day after we started putting fliers up and asked me to take them down because she was classified a runaway. The police found the older man who last saw Tracy less than a week later in Oklahoma. He stated that he dropped Tracy off at a pawn shop on main street. Supposedly Joplin police are still investigating. A couple years ago a too came in that Tracy may be down in one of our local mine pits but they couldn't drain it because it was so deep.
No. I don't know as a parent how it feels to lose a child. But I did love Tracy. I know how that feels.

I Think BD and SA will continue to deny everything but BD is already changing her story and saying she thinks SA is responsible. I guess she doesn't need him anymore. Is everyone disposable to her? I just think it's funny that for the last 2 years while she was out partying and sneaking around seeing him she didn't seem to mind. Oh, but they BOTH failed the polygraphs! From the start she seemed to care more about SA and herself than her missing child and I have yet to see ONE tear! I remember a statement Clint made, he said he went by on New Years and there was lost of beer. He said nobody seemed concerned about Hailey being missing and he was surprised that even David was busy with a game or TV or whatever it was. Could they not even pretend to care? My heart breaks for the life that little girl wasn't allowed to live but chances are she might have followed down the same road since that's all she knew. Of course there is also a chance she would have risen above her environment and upbringing but chances are slim when you are raised in a drug environment. Maybe Hailey had just had it with them and told them and all hell broke loose? I feel certain at some point we'll hear what happened. Maybe SA will sing like a bird to avoid the death penalty. If I was DA I wouldn't make deals with child killers. In fact I want them to get put in the express lane for death row!

If you have watched Tracy's families pain, then you know up close how much the family suffers. It is not just the parents who suffer, the other family members and friends suffer too. Thank you for sharing your story Elf. I am sorry to hear that the local police have not done too much. That is a recurring theme in many missing family members stories. I will include Tracy in my prayers.

If Hailey was never found and they were never held accountable, I wonder if Billie and Shawn would commit a similar crime on a vulnerable family member, friend or stranger sometime in the future. Especially if they were high, drunk and still enjoying their various perversions.

Pointhunter may have saved future victims by finding Hailey.

God bless you Pointhunter.

"anything added with a but or and, lessens the credibility of the person saying it...."

Respectfully, that is a narrow, incomplete and inaccurate understanding of the words "but, and, or" in Statement Analysis.

Ive been thinking about BD & SA’s involvement in this. It seems more and more evident to me that BD played a larger role in this than I first suspected..due to her behavior. BD set it up so that the “story” they told police was SA was the last person to have seen Hailey. Why would SA go along with this and stay calm and collected unless he felt they were pulling one over on the police? I would think he would be out of there like a bat out of he!! Had he truly been most responsible, and if BD knew nothing I don’t’ think she would be so adamant about keeping SA around and under her control. But they think they can get by some way with this story because the truth is something opposite, and therefore SA can’t be held accountable for something BD did? BD is the one who stayed with him this whole time. There’s something more than “love” connecting the two. I think they are both involved…SA in the disposal particularly.. but they are covering for BD!!!

HOST: Where are your uniforms at Shawn?

SHAWN ADKINS: OK, um, OK the 26th of December I had Billie wash one of my two pairs of my coveralls and one pair was in my locker at my job. And then Monday morning when I went in to work I brought the one pair of coveralls Billie had washed, I brought them with me and I took them to work and put them in my locker. And there are many cameras on that property where I work and that will show me walking into that locker room with a pair of coveralls and me walking out of that place with no coveralls.

(And x 2) missing information re coveralls and leading up to cameras (wanting to be scene/documented or not... ). Lots of extra wording.

... I had Billie wash one of my two pairs of my coveralls .......walking into that locker room with "A" pair of coveralls and me walking out of that place with no coveralls.

I'm wondering if there was a third pair of overalls. Someone else's? is there any time when SA wasn't on camera? Was he able to switch his coveralls with someone else's on the way to his locker before putting "a" pair of coveralls in his locker? Why would he just show up to drop off overalls especially if they were clean? Why not wait for the employer to request that he return them if he was quitting his job? Why bother showing up at all, unless he had an agenda (overalls).

I would LOVE to believe that every child missing will be found alive. I would love to see proof that Billie Dunn is innocent of murdering her daughter. Who among us wants to believe a parent would seek to end a life of their child? Not one of us wants to truly believe such an atrocity. We are all aware that there are monsters in humanity, predators of the innocent. We all know everything is not always black and white. That is why we seek to understand. If a persons words and actions are questionable, we have a duty to seek more knowledge. If we look at all the bits and pieces, facts, rumors, supposition, then and only then may we begin to see the larger picture. We only seek the truth by investigative tools such as polygraphs, analysis of statements and body, and what law enforcement has deemed appropriate for public knowledge in the way of physical evidence. That is what we have to work with in our role of concerned citizens.

It is interesting that Shawn believes that BD has the power to "totally ruin" him according to his statements, if she makes a plea deal.

According to statement analysis BD and SD were the last two people to see a live breathing Hailey as she was probably deceased on Monday morning when BD left for work.

"Hailey went and disappeared" after that according to Billie.

Now that Shawn is no longer her leading man, I wonder who is?

Doe's anyone know if either of these freaks of nature have been arrested...IMO Billie is a pathetic excuse for a mother to bring a evil freak like Shawn Adkins into her home around her children and when the first threat was made against them Clint D. should have beaten him to death ...I pray that both SA and BD are locked away for life ..death is too good for them...they need to wake up every day as long as they live with the image of Hailey in their heads and know that NEVER again will they walk among decent people ..RIP Haile..I'm so sorry baby-girl you deserved to have a life instead of the 2 monsters that took it from you :(
