Mexican Denial of Chopper Firing on US Soil

Initial report stated that the Mexican military used a copter to shoot at US border patrol, and that they later apologized for this.  Now, CNN reports a "denial" by the Mexican authorities.  Border Patrol agents report "amnesty" is simply allowing criminals, including drug cartels, to cross freely, under orders of the Obama Administration, and that no discrimination between legal and illegal exists any longer.

(CNN) -- Shots were fired this week near the U.S. border with Mexico, with a U.S. official saying they came from a Mexican law enforcement helicopter, something that a Mexican official denies.
The Mexican helicopter crossed into Arizona and fired two shots near U.S. border agents, a U.S. law enforcement official said Friday. No one returned fire, and the helicopter returned to Mexico.
No one was hurt in the incident, which happened about 6 a.m. local time Thursday about 100 yards into U.S. territory, the official said on condition of anonymity.
A separate official, U.S. Border Patrol spokeswoman Vivian McLoughlin, confirmed the helicopter crossed into U.S. territory, saying it happened at 5:45 a.m. Thursday. She did not provide further details.
Tomas Zeron, director of the Mexican attorney general's investigative office, offered a different story Friday.
While acknowledging Mexican authorities were conducting an operation "on the border," Zeron said, "I do not think we crossed the border because we brought our navigation. But it was just 100 meters from the border."
CNN reported the "denial."  Here we have the statement.
1.  "think" is to make a weak assertion allowing for others to think contrary. He does not say "we did not cross the border."
2.  Next, his "think" is made even weaker as he feels the need to explain why he thinks as he does: "because..."
3.  "But" refutes or compares that which preceded it.  Here, he refutes his own claim.
He said helicopters from the attorney general's office and defense ministry "were shot at by criminals," several of whom were later apprehended by Mexican authorities.
"The only ones doing the shooting were those that we have now detained," Zeron said.
The US said Mexican copter fired upon them.  Here we see the statement has passivity.  This is used to avoid denying that the copter shot at US border patrol.
The first U.S. source said that Mexican authorities have called U.S. authorities and acknowledged a mistake, saying shots were fired from the helicopter after it accidentally crossed the border.
But Zeron gave no indication that any mistake was made or apology was necessary, suggesting that Mexican authorities did nothing wrong.
Mexican authorities said Thursday's drug smuggling and trafficking operation culminated in the rescue of 39 migrants, detention of four people and securing of a ranch on the U.S. border.
This isn't the first case of the two allies having issues along their shared border.
Some of these have to do with efforts to corral the drug or weapons trade, with the latter being especially significant in Mexico given fears that such arms could end up in the hands of powerful drug cartels.
Citing a response he said came from the Department of Homeland Security, Rep. Duncan Hunter said earlier this month that there have been some 300 documented incursions by Mexican military and law enforcement authorities since 2004.
"While the number of unauthorized incursions by Mexican authorities is relatively few, it is imperative for our officer safety to handle each situation assertively but with sensitivity and professionalism," DHS said in a response to Duncan's request, according to the Republican congressman from California.

Robert Early 911 call

Article snipped.

The boyfriend of a missing Richardson Independent School District teacher has been charged with murder after her body was found in New Mexico, authorities say.

Investigators found the woman's body near Carlsbad, NM, after statements allegedly made by the boyfriend led police to her location.

According to the documents, Earley eventually admitted to police that he got into a physical fight with Lambert and knocked her unconscious. Following that, Earley allegedly took Lambert to another location before she woke up. When Lambert regained consciousness, police documents stated Earley admitted to striking Lambert again, beating her with an air pump that was in the car, and then tying a rope around her neck, wedging it in the passenger-side door, and dragging Lambert to her death.

We should have returned fire, like they would do. There would be no "mistakes" again. Our marine is still sitting in their jail for his mistake. The border crisis is a nightmare of a joke; something Obama calls "phony" and "fabricated". I think I posted an article or two about this in a different thread as an OT. The "refugees" are not really being medically screened, just by eye of the border patrol agents. The rest of the agents are being forced to feed babies, change diapers, etc., taking away from actual border patrolling. Plane loads of illegal aliens are then being shipped to other states, such as MA. MA is on the way back to Mexico?

I understand that some peoples hearts are being tugged, because a lot of these are ABANDONED children, but we do not have the means to take care of all these people. The crisis is taking away from the US Citizens, from our resources, health, medical, food, shelter, schooling, etc. None of these people are going to be sent back. They will all be "reunited" here. When the family comes, they'll be let in to reuinite.

Even worse, all the criminals getting through! Some are prevented, but with the crisis going on, it's not physically possible to stop them all.

A lot of the people coming through, are coming from other countries. Mexico is letting them in there, to cross through, to get to our border. Meanwhile, how about they let our Marine go?

It's just a phony, fabricated, Republican/News, made up story though. Another one.

The father of baby Cooper Harris - the child killed in the back seat of a scorching hot car - broke down in tears yesterday during a prison phone call to his wife which was aired to his son's funeral.

Justin Ross Harris was patched in to a moving service in memory of the 22-month-old in the family's hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

His voice breaking he was heard saying over speak phone: 'I'm sorry... Thank you for everything you've done, I'm sorry, I love you, thank you.'
Ross, currently being held without bond and charged with murder and second degree child cruelty, listened in to friends and family as they shared memories with mourners in the stage.

And in an emotional speech Harris' wife Leanna took to the stage to defend her husband.

She asked the congregation: 'Am I angry with Ross? Absolutely not. It never ever has crossed my mind. Ross is and always will be, if we have more children, a wonderful daddy, a wonderful leader for our children.'

She added: 'Cooper meant the world to him, there was not a day go by that we did not say how blessed we were to have him in our lives.'

Leanna said she had felt compelled to speak in defence of her husband and remember Cooper.

She told him as he listened in: 'Ross I love you, I am doing this for you okay.

'I should be crumpled in a heap of snot and tears into the dirt, but The Lord is holding me up...he is holding Ross up.'

Leanna also recalled bringing 6lbs 8oz Cooper in to the world.

'He was perfect,' she said, adding, 'He changed my life and he changed Ross' life.'

She also recalled how Cooper had struggled to sleep in the two nights before his death and had spent the night sleeping in between her and Ross in their bed.

She remembers waking and looking at him.

'I will cherish that moment forever.'

Earlier a family member had come on to the stage and asked the audience to join him in a round of applause for baby Cooper

After the claps slowed, the man said: 'Hey Ross that sounded pretty good.'

To which Ross responded: 'Yes it did.'

Leanna's father Dock Taylor spoke of Cooper as a 'wonderful little man'.

'He lived full for 22-months of his life.

'His family loved and adored and worshipped him and we will for the rest of our days.'

He added that 'nobody in this world' loved him more than Ross and Leanna.

He said Harris called him his 'handsome little buddy'.

Harris could be heard crying over the phone as Mr Taylor spoke and the religious service progressed.

While his wife is standing by him, new bombshell documents released today reveal he had been researching child deaths inside overheated vehicles shortly before his son's death.

In a series of police search warrants obtained by MailOnline Harris is said to have admitted to officers that he’d looked up the child deaths.

'During an interview with Justin, He stated that he recently researched, through the internet, child deaths inside vehicles and what temperature it needs to be for that to occur,' according to one warrant.

'Justin stated that he was fearful that this could happen.'

The statement was written in order to gain permission from the court to search Harris’ apartment in Marietta, Georgia.

During a police search executed on Wednesday June 18 officers seized a laptop computer, a computer tower and ‘Google chrome cast internet searcher and other electronic devises. Harris’ white AT&T IPhone 5, was also seized by cops.

This comes after it was alleged the Home Depot web developer also used his work computer to research how long it would take for a dog to die inside a hot car.

Harris, 33, was supposed to drop Cooper to daycare around 9.30am on June 18 but instead went straight to work after first stopping for breakfast at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

He forget the boy was strapped in his car seat in the back of the Hyundai Tuscon for seven hours - on a day when temperatures soared into the 90s.

Baby Cooper wasn’t discovered until 4.20 p.m. after Harris has left work and suddenly pulled into a parking lot at Uncle Maddio’s Pizza restaurant at a nearby shopping center.

According to the search warrants Harris ‘quickly exited the vehicle opened the driver side passenger door and pulled his child, Cooper Harris out of the vehicle.’

It continued: ‘Justin was witnessed yelling 'Oh my god what have I done.' He then began doing CPR on the child. When someone came to assist Justin he stopped providing medical attention to the child and started making calls on his cell phone.

EMS responded to the scene. It was obvious that the child was deceased.

But witnesses told MailOnline that Harris was 'acting oddly' and that he had told bystanders who tried to save the tot that the child had been ‘choking’ minutes earlier.

Instead of confessing to the tragic blunder of having left the child in the car all day – and admitting his baby had been dead for hours – it was claimed Harris had tried to cover his tracks.

The mystery deepened even further when the police later revealed that Harris had returned to his SUV at lunchtime and was seen placing an object in the car via the driver’s side door.

Leanna wanted to obtain photos of her son from the seized computers for use at the funeral, but Cobb County police turned down her request, said Maddox Kilgore, the attorney for Harris.

But today that was all forgotten as the Harris family celebrated the life of their ‘loved and cherished’ baby.

Cooper's tiny red wooden coffin sat on the stage inside the main church room.

The coffin was surrounded by flowers and a large framed photo of the smiling baby holding a red apple was also on display.

Mourners went up to pay their respects to the child, many breaking down in tears.

They were greeted by a large smiling photo of Cooper displayed on a plinth in the reception area of the church.

A table was set up with several photos of Cooper with mother Leanna and dad Justin Ross Harris next to the words ‘We love you to the moon and back.'

The front cover of the order of service displayed the same smiling photo of Cooper dressed smartly in a cute pale blue short-sleeved shirt in between the words: 'Celebrating the life of Cooper Mills Harris'.

On the back of the order of service was written the moving poem 'There's Nothing'.

In a obituary written inside an order of service handed out to guests the family wrote that Cooper Mills Harris was born on August 2, 2012 to ‘the most proud parents there could ever have been’.

‘He was loved, cherished, and protected by both parents and all family members for his short 22 months of life. He was a happy baby. ‘He loved to speak with anyone and made an impact on many people’s lives in his short time.’

The family said Cooper loved trucks and cars and often told them ‘bye’ as they left parking lots.

‘He had just learned the color red and as we passed red vehicles, he would tell his Mommy and Daddy; “Bye red car, bye red truck’,’ they wrote.

The obituary added: ‘He was a joy and will always be cherished. His 22 months of life were the most happy and fulfilling times of his mother and father’s lives, and we will miss him greatly. The family rejoices in the fact that we know that our Cooper is in the arms of Jesus restored, protected, and in perfect peace.’

The service was attended by Cooper’s mum Leanna his grandparents on both sides and several aunts and uncles.

Pastor David Eldridge spoke and gave the opening prayer followed by sentiments from family and friends.

After the service the family will lay Cooper to rest in a private burial.

A charity fund at The Home Depot where Harris works, will pay for the funeral.

On Thursday a petition, which had attracted more than 11,000 online signatures and calling for the murder charges against Harris to be dropped, was taken down.

A wave of supporters initially said the charges against the Home Depot worker were outrageous and that it was an accident.

The petition on Change-org demanding that the charges be dropped and the case sparked national debate.

But as more details in the case emerged, support group Parents Support Parents - the people behind the petition - decided to close it down.

In the obituary the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Homer Fund.

They thanked everyone who had supported them through this trying time.

They wrote: ‘The outpouring of love has been tremendously over-whelming in the best possible way.’

How could she honestly not be mad at him, accident or not? Even if I knew with 100% certainty that something like that was an accident, I really think I'd still be mad.

Cooper having trouble sleeping, and sleeping in their bed stucks out as a stresser to me. Obviously not to kill your child, for the average person, but who knows.

Thank you hobnob. So sad.
The mother said she's she is absolutely not mad, that's a weak denial. But maybe the anger is suppressed... so far. I doubt what happened to little Cooper has sunk in yet. She may still be in denial and shock. I do wonder at the wording that she thinks the father will be a wonderful leader for their children? Why a leader? Also she's doing this(the funeral? Defending him? Speaking? ) for her husband.. what's that about?
I'm a little confused with her reaction ...

That's disturbing! :(

It's a good example of a deceptive 911 call though.

I was confused but am now aware from the article that Justin performed two (possibly more) separate searches. There is a reason why he was interested in the topic for him to search both from home and from work. What must have precipitated these searches? His wife may have the answer. Once the shock wears off, she will not be so defensive of her husband. I read that additional damning documents will be presented tomorrow.

It is not possible for the baby to have been choking minutes earlier and it is unbelievable Justin would begin his alibi-building with those words.

Hobs, thanks for the article. It is heartbreaking to read.

Thanks Hobs and Ima for posting the updates.

I'd love to hear how he forgot his son, not once, but twice that day. He forgot to drop him off, and to pick him up. I'd like to know when the plans were made to supposedly meet with friends, and whose idea it was to meet.

I see what you're saying, Ima, about the wife being in shock. That makes sense. I was wondering how she couldn't be mad (at all, not even a little bit, even if she really thinks it's an accident). She's probably numb right now. Saying that she's doing this for him, idk, I don't get that either. She'd be doing whatever it is for her son, I would think.

It must have crossed her mind for her to bring it up, not to mention the "never ever" qualifiers.

I actually don't even understand why she's getting into all of that at her sons funeral. Idk, I guess everyone's different. I think I'd just want to remember and mourn my son, not be worried about how the father is viewed by others. Yes, I might be worried about it, but not to be voicing it at my sons funeral.

'Am I angry with Ross? Absolutely not.

Peter teaches the word "absolutely" is used to strengthen the denial, but it's need, itself, shows weakness. He tells us the word "absolutely" is sensitive for a reason and is used as a means to persuade. Initially, I believe she needs to persuade herself. That need will dissipate soon as the days go by and reality sets in that her precious baby is gone and she is now childless.

If indeed this is premeditated murder, she knows or will know the reason why. Once the exact dates and times of the searches are determined and released, I believe it will become clearer and clearer. There will come a day when friends and family will move on to their day-to-day lives and she will be left alone with her grief. Anger will come and with that, so will answers.

It is weird that she felt the need to say i am doing this for you. And that she also felt it necessary to say that when she gave birth this never entered her mind. How bizarre. Why would she say that? Why would it have crossed her mind, unless it actually did and she feels guilt and thus the need for a preemptive strike? i do not get these people. It is so hard to see jesus in them although i know i should try.

My name is Emma from USA. My boyfriend and I were happy as far as I could tell and I never thought that we would ever break up. After his cousin died in a tragic car accident he went back to his family for a few weeks to be with his family. I could not go because I was in the middle of entertaining out of town clients for work. He did not seem to be upset that I could not go so I let him be. I later found out that he reconnected with his ex girlfriend back home, I initially had no clue what was going on until a month after he came back from his family's home. He proceeded to see both her and I until I caught him and her together and that really hurt my feelings. I confronted him and he told me the truth about what happened. We broke up and went our separate ways. Neither of us fought for our relationship. I was angry and decided not to be upset about it and just keep it moving. Then after about a month of not speaking to him I became sad and lonely. I wanted him to tell me that he wanted to be with me and not her. I contacted Dr.Sanu for a love spell and he totally helped me! he was able to get him to miss me to where he wanted to get back together again. He had a lot of regrets and felt bad for not fighting to keep me and for cheating in general. He values our relationship so much more now and we are together now! You can also get your lover back with the help of Dr. Sanu contact him through his email: dr.sanuspiritualtemple@gmail.com
