Stuttgart Parents Seeking Help Locating Missing Daughter

Stuttgart parents seek help locating missing daughter

P
STUTTGART (KATV) -Cassie Compton, 15, has been missing since Sunday, September, 14 and still no amber alert has been sent out from police.

Cassie's mother Judy says her daughter was like any other 15-year-old girl; she likes bowling with her friends, going to the movies, and Facebook.

Judy said last Sunday night, Cassie came home from the derby in Dewitt with her friend Hunter around 6:00 p.m. She was home for a short amount of time before she walked out the door while Judy and her fiancé Brandon Rhodes weren't in the room.

Cassie hasn't been seen since.

“I just want my baby girl back home,” sobbed Judy as Brandon puts his arm around her.

Stuttgart police say since there is no imminent harm or possible death, Cassie doesn't qualify for a Morgan Nick-amber alert. On Friday, Stuttgart police said while they don't believe Cassie has been abducted; they have filed Cassie's description with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They've also been following up on leads with family in Kingston, Oklahoma throughout the week.

“I'm so scared someone kidnapped her, it's such a dangerous time,” said Judy.

Tracey Snyder is Hunter's mother. She said Cassie sent Hunter a text around 7:00 p.m. saying she was going to get cigarettes. Snyder believes that was the last time Cassie contacted anyone before she went missing.

“It is safe to come home, don't be scared to come home, we love you, we just want you home safe,” said Judy hoping Cassie is listening.

Cassie was last seen in Stuttgart near her home on 15th street. She's described as 5'3, 100 pounds, grey eyes, blonde hair and has a scar on the left side of her face.

If you know anything about where Cassie may be, call your local authorities or Stuttgart Police at 870-673-1414

--I know this isn’t a direct quote, but if the reporter is writing what the mother said, then “she walked out the door” means that this was sensitive to the mother. She walked out is fine, but qualified with “the door” weakens the statement. Not only that but, she walked out when they weren’t in the room. Does this mean that while they were in the room she was unable to leave. I think that maybe they were fighting. She had come home from being in the derby with her friend around 6:00 p.m. Perhaps she went without permission and there was a fight. The quote that follows from her mother gives me even more reason to believe this:

“It is safe to come home, don't be scared to come home, we love you, we just want you home safe,” said Judy hoping Cassie is listening.
--Does this mean that before she left it wasn’t safe to come home? What makes the home safe now, and why would she be scared to come home. “We” love you, the mother is divorced and was with her “fiancé” when she disappeared. Shouldn’t this be highly personal to her? No “I” in this statement? I don’t know if the relationship between the mother and daughter was strained, but it sounds like it. I hope she is OK.

Interview with her best friend/ boyfriend Hunter's mother Tracy Snyder. Cassie had spent Saturday night at their house; her friend Hunter dropped her off around 6:30 pm the Sunday she went missing. According to Tracy Snyder, Cassie spent a lot of time at their house because it was a "safe haven" from the troubles she was having at her own home with her mother's boyfriend. Cassie's mother's boyfriend called Tracy Snyder to ask if Cassie was at their house even though he had actually been present outside and had seen Cassie dropped off at her house so he knew that Cassie was no longer at their house. Tracy Snyder confronted Cassie's mother's boyfriend about this during a series of telephone calls, and Tracy Snyder also repeatedly asked him to call the police to report Cassie missing. Neither Cassie's mother nor Cassie's boyfriend reported Cassie missing so Tracy Snyder reported Cassie missing on Monday.

Soundbite from Cassie's mother's boyfriend: "She was gone like... a whisper in the wind."

I agree with the suggestions above that Cassie's mother's emphasis on the home being safe (now) and not being scared (now) to come home reflects the home was previously NOT safe and Cassie was previously scared to come home. The mother's boyfriend's remark implies that Cassie is gone in a such a way that she is never coming back. Very troubling.

They finally found Gavin Smith's body (the media executive that went missing around the time the FBI agent ran off and committed suicide and the other FBI agent-Sactleben- was arrested for trading child porn). I remember this well as the limos were stalking disaster victims on the Interstate that May 3rd of the same year.

Wonder how many mailboxes they bombed and how many "charitable" orgainsations they set up?

Must save the world for the little children! And, the Russians!

how could anybody know Cassie walked out the door if no other person was present to witness this.

it seems degrading to say her daughter is like any other 15 year old, everybody is special in some way - who better to know what is unique about her than her mother.

damn ------- this sounds like she was killed by the mother and/or the mother's boyfriend. and it's all a fake cover up/.

very very sad.

good sample or statement analysis -- a red flag almost at every word.
