If I were his wife I would not be going back home. How can she trust him? It does not seem accidental.

I hope he's not allowed in her hospital room! Who knows what "accident" might take place?

It was no accident.

His own 911 call revealed deception.
It has also been pointed out that the glock is one of the safest guns around and cannot go off accidentally, the only way to fire the gun is by pulling the trigger.

Given he is a cop and therefore familiar with guns, he should know how to handle a gun, especially his own.

he has had 4 divorces, was another on the way and liable to cost him money?
That right there is motive.

Most news articles seem to be indicating that he may not be prosecuted. They have made no mention of the 911 call, nor have they even hinted at the fact he may be guilty. Are the major news sources that oblivious?

I hope he has to change her diapers for the rest of her life and that it's a long one. With a witness standing by, of course.

Mccollum has been married four times.

If he is a control freak, which it sounds like he is, this may be his dream come true. She will be reliant on him for the remainder of her life. She needs to leave him ASAP!

This is his second marriage to Margaret, making it a total of four legal ceremonies with three different women. Wonder how many he DIDN'T marry but used up? The lucky ones who either got dumped on, fortunately, or walked away, seeing what a low-life abuser he is.

Too bad Margaret didn't use the same good judgment after she got shed of him the first time. She has no escape from this POS b'stard now. Poor thing.

I will never understand for the life of me, how a woman could ever go back to a man who has abused her the first time, even one shove, push or slap. Don't they know that once a man curses you, takes a swing at you or slaps you around ONCE, it does not end? It only gets worse. Yet some claimed, 'but I loved him'. Loved WHAT? Getting cursed, demeaned and beat up on? What's to love? Pitiful, pitiful.

This may sound harsh, but it is accurate.
