Analysis: CBC Statement of Two Year Old

Can we analyze the words of a two year old?

Or, is it better to analyze main stream media?

From the CBC:

Please note the headline at the link.

'I want to die,' 2-year-old refugee said during hours-long walk to Manitoba from U.S. Increasing number of refugees making their way to Manitoba via Minneapolis, immigration lawyer says Media placeholder A two-year-old member of a large group of refugees who walked into Manitoba from Minnesota on Saturday told his mom he wanted to die instead of finish the walk, a refugee from the group says.

Abdoul-Aziz Abdi Hoche, 21, was part of the group that made the two-hour journey on foot along a frozen river from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m., as temperatures dropped below –20C. The walk through the snow was difficult for everybody, Hoche said, but it was especially hard for a toddler making the trip with his mother.

"He say he cannot protect in the snow," Hoche said Wednesday.

"He say, 'Mom, I want to die, you can go in the Canada. I want to die in the snow, you can go, mom, in the Canada.'"

Here, the two year old was able to articulate suicide ideation, as well as discern the notion of nation states.

He is also indicates a willingness to see his mother's life preserved.

Two year old children don't have a concept of death unless someone put the words in his mouth. How stupid do they think we are? Never mind, I know, really stupid.

I have a two year old whose vocabulary is closer to a 3.5, nearly 4 year old. My 17 year old happens to be taking a child development class and is greatly amused at comparing her baby brother to the book stars. And there is no way he would have any concept or ability to verbalize, "I want to die." It is too far-fetched. It's a blatant attempt to manipulate emotions.

No. Just no.

The 2 yr old in this " story" hired an interpreter.

What kind of parents would make a two year old walk in freezing weather for two hours?

Children are great mimics. I am sure he said "I want to die" got a great reaction so kept saying it. That doesn't mean he understands what he is saying or that he is suicidal.

My mother died when I was 3 and a half. I asked when she was coming back for almost a year even after the concept of death was explained to me. I couldn't comprehend until it became experience.

What a load of b0ll0ck5.

A 2 year old is a selfish bugger, they have no concept of death nor of wanting to die.

Someone is media savvy and playing the poor innocent child card knowing it would tug on the heartstrings and result in the public demanding this and that and how dare the government turn away refugees etc.

No doubt this would be blamed on Trump (have they blamed the weather on him yet?)

I wonder what the child would say if interviewed by a trained child protection officer with an independent translator present?

the Canadian media is doing the same as that in the EU and USA. they have a pro illegal immigration agenda and will print any lie that will advance that agenda.

they (the media and the liberal/progressive crowd which includes 90% of politicians) want to destroy the judeo-christian concepts which are still held by the western countries.

Blame trump? Why not? Obama was blamed for 8 years.

"He say he cannot protect in the snow," Hoche said Wednesday. "He say, 'Mom, I want to die, you can go in the Canada. I want to die in the snow, you can go, mom, in the Canada."

Doesn't sound like any two year old I've come across. Not even remotely.

Even adults whose command of English is extremely limited do not use the definitive article before the country name as in "the" Canada, or "the" England or whatever, if that definitive article is not meant to be used, as it would be in certain countries like the Gambia, the Bahamas. Even the Ukraine is now supposed to be used without the definitive article. It sounds made up.

No two year old would willingly let his mum leave, he would cling like a limpet. These heroic concepts would still be alien to him. It sounds like he borrowed the 'leave me to die' from a movie or something.

Two years after race-faker Rachel Dolezal was exposed for living secretly as a black woman, she insists in her new memoir that she did nothing wrong.

The 39-year-old made international headlines after her parents, Larry and Ruthanne, revealed she was a white woman pretending to be black.

She resigned from her post as the Spokane, Washington, NAACP leader and also lost her job as an adjunct instructor at Eastern Washington University.

Dolezal later conceded that she 'was biologically born white to white parents', and compared herself to Caitlyn Jenner, claiming race is 'not coded in your DNA' and should be viewed like gender or religion.

Last year, she announced the release of her memoir, In Full Color, on Instagram. The book is set to be published next month.

Her book proposal was shopped to more than 30 publishers before she landed a deal with independent publisher BenBella.

In an interview with The Guardian, Dolezal said: 'This is obviously an issue a lot of people want to say things about. And it needs to be talked about, so it's kind of helpful to create a punching bag.

'There's nobody saying, 'Well, that's racist if you say that about Rachel', or 'That's sexist if you say that about Rachel.'

'There's no protected class for me. I'm this generic, ambiguous scapegoat for white people to call me a race traitor and take out their hostility on. And I'm a target for anger and pain about white people from the black community. It's like I am the worst of all these worlds,' Dolezal told the Guardian.

Dolezal told the newspaper that she is currently jobless and feeding her family with food stamps.

Her friend reportedly helped her pay two months worth of rent and she said she expects to be homeless.

Dolezal said she has applied for more than 100 jobs, including a position at the university where she used to teach, but no one will hire her.

The only work she has been offered is reality TV, and porn.

'Right now the only place that I feel understood and completely accepted is with my kids and my sister,' Dolezal told the Guardian.

She says she has very few friends and despite changing her name on her legal documents, she is still recognized wherever she goes.

But her memoir, In Full Color: Finding My Place In A Black And White World will be published in March.

Dolezal said she wrote the book because she wanted to 'set the record straight' to both the black and white communities that felt as if she had wronged them.

She also said she wanted to 'open up this dialogue about race and identity, and to just encourage people to be exactly who they are'.

The book is described as the story of Dolezal's path from being a child of white Evangelical parents to 'an NAACP chapter president and respected educator and activist who identified as black'.

Dolezal will explore the 'deep emotional bond' she developed with her four adopted black siblings and the 'sense of belonging she felt while living in black communities', according to the synopsis.

The $15 hardcover book, which is 256 pages, will also discuss 'the discrimination' Dolezal claims to have suffered 'while living as a black woman'.

'Her story is nuanced and complex, and in the process of telling it, she forces us to consider race in an entirely new light,' the synopsis concludes.

'Not as a biological imperative, but as a function of the experience we have, the culture we embrace, and, ultimately, the identity we choose.'

Since the scandal, Dolezal has given birth to her third child, a boy named Langston Attickus Dolezal.

OT- Why does this statement bother me?

Ron Logan on bodies found on his property: "To have something like this in your own house, your own home...I just can't get my mind around it yet, it's really difficult." said Logan. "I can't comprehend it."

If the bodies were found on the property, why is he referencing his house, and why then did the reality change again to home?

Although I think my two year old is smart and can say smart words....He doesn't speak whole sentences......He has spoken the word death, because in summer we went on fly catching and i told him when the fly was death.....Then he was saying death death death when he was chasing the flies and tried to hit them with the fly swatter, but he's not capable of making sentences of more then 2 or 3 words, and only those who he is parroting, it isn't he comes up with his own words.....He has heard them somewhere.

I think they should take this 2 year old to university in Canada.......He's a great candidate if he can speak such language at age 2! He will be the new Einstein I think.

I identify as a twenty year-old super-model who lives in a mansion with my very rich husband and a dozen of our biological kids and I have absolutely no stretch-marks. You can call me Princess Anoni.... Next week, I'll identify as a bull-fighter from Spain who teaches at two Ivy League colleges on my free days while voting Republican.

See where this Dolezal theory could go?

I notice a general trend among Muslims (Muslim women in particular) of fabricating reality-- often, whole cloth, and in shameless fashion! I'm sure this has "absolutely NOTHING to do with Islam" or the practice of taqiyya upon infidels, though, right?? :/
Yay, for cultural enrichment! Lol

Bellahzere said...

We Muslim women do not fabricate reality. Mashallah.
May Allah help guide your thinking about his people.

Bellahzere,

My apologies from the entire group...the only one accusing you of taqiyya is Droll Skeptic...he tends to be an outlier here...very much on the fringe of statement analysis society.

After a five-year search, a funeral was held Saturday for a North Carolina teen whose remains were found in South Carolina last year.

The public funeral at First Baptist Church of Salisbury took place one day after what would have been Erica Lynn Parsons's 19th birthday.

Erica, who was 13 when she disappeared from her Salisbury home in 2011, was laid to rest in a small, white casket covered with pink, purple and white flowers.

Her mother, Carolyn Parsons, watched from the church's front pew as Erica's coffin was slowly rolled outside, The Charlotte Observer reports.

Erica's relatives have commented on the teen's love of angels, and an inscription on her donated headstone makes reference to them: 'Protected By Angels Forever More.'

In eulogizing Erica, Kenneth Lance, pastor of First Baptist Church of Salisbury, said that her purpose in life - and death - is to bring awareness and action against child abuse occurring 'at the hands of the wicked and foolish'.

Also speaking at Erica's service was Kevin Auten, the Rowan County sheriff whose detectives spent years on the case.

When Erica was reported missing in July 2013, Auten said police thought they'd find her.

But as the years wore on hope faded, he said.

'This is the most difficult case I've seen in my 30 years,' Auten said.

'It's horrible we lost a young child but heaven gained an angel.'

No one has been charged in Erica's death, but Auten said there were developments he couldn't discuss.

Erica's skull and bones were found by detectives in a shallow grave in the Pageland Mount Croghan area of South Carolina, last September, Chesterfield Sheriff Jay Brooks said.

Her adoptive father, Sandy Parsons, told investigators where to find her body, which was found near where his mother lived, the Charlotte Observer reported.

A relative reportedly said the adoptive father had bragged from prison - where he is serving eight years for tax fraud - that authorities would not be able to locate Erica's body without him because it was hidden somewhere that not even hikers or hunters would venture.

Sandy Parsons, who only recently started cooperating with detectives on the case, confided through a third party with investigators where her body would be found.

It is not known what prompted him to begin working with the authorities after years of denying anything to do with his adoptive daughter's disappearance.

Authorities in Rowan County, along with the FBI, had obtained leads in August that Erica was 'more than likely deceased'.

Although authorities suspected from the beginning that Erica’s adoptive parents, Casey and Sandy Parsons, had something to do with her disappearance, a national search for the teen went on for three years.

The couple claimed that Erica went to live in Asheville with a woman they believed to be her biological grandmother, Irene 'Nan' Goodman, but that woman has never materialized.

They repeated this claim on a nationally-televised interview with Dr Phil soon after her disappearance in 2011.

Testimony at the 2015 fraud trial of adoptive parents Casey, 41, and Sandy Parsons, 42, unveiled a pattern of abusing Erica, the couple's niece, who lived with the family in Rowan County from 2000 until she disappeared in 2011 at age 13.

She was not reported missing until 2013, when Erica's adoptive brother, James Parsons, contacted Rowan County authorities after his parents had kicked him out.

He told deputies that Erica had been missing for two years.

Late 2011 was the last time he saw Erica, who was developmentally disabled and partially deaf, when she was standing in a corner as punishment and 'looked like a zombie', he said in court.

He said Erica said she did not feel good and could not breathe well, and that the next morning she was gone.

Testimony from the couple's 2015 fraud trial - they had continued to cash Erica’s disability checks - described in graphic detail the abuse she endured before her disappearance while living with Sandy and Casey Parsons.

That included being fed dog food or no food at all, being excluded from family activities and having her arm broken by one of her siblings.

When authorities searched the Parsons' home, they found a closet where Erica would be imprisoned and found her DNA – either from saliva or urine – on the floor.

In March 2015, Casey Parsons was sentenced to 10 years in prison for tax fraud and her husband, Sandy, to eight years.

'I've sentenced more than 1,000 people,' U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Schroeder said to Casey Parsons before handing down her sentence.

'I cannot think of another case that has troubled me more.'
