There is a woman named Crystal Rogers in the state of KY who is a real estate agent, but you only have to Google her name and realize the picture is NOT the same Crystal Rogers who is missing. I just wanted to point that out because that debunks anything related to her practicing real estate. She was showing Houck's property, if that's even true. I've read articles that point out that no one can corroborate that she actually a property that evening. However, Houck has rental properties and has a company Houck Rentals LLC in Bardstown. Just do a search with BBB and you can find his company info. online. To say that she showed a property would be another lie to add to his pack of lies because he could back it up by saying he owns a rental company. After reading a few posts from "Anonymous" regarding his/her research and 'proof' of Crystal's two college degrees, real estate career success, being the breadwinner, and now speculating that the boyfriend must have siphoned off Crystal's money causing her to have to drive an older Chevy... I am shaking my head, thinking WHOA, this thread seems it may be headed waaay off centerline.

Some quick research indicates that the successful real estate agent with 53 listings discovered by Anonymous is NOT Crystal Rogers of Bardstown, but a different Crystal Rogers. That is, one who happens to have 53 active listings, and is of Elite Properties in Hickory, NC, two state lines and 385 miles away from Bardstown.

Please double-check the research here... an erroneous hypothesis like that really busts some of the resulting theories being put out here. NOTE: I could be wrong, as I didn't spend a lot of time, but please do check this out before posting more speculations based on Crystal's 'successful real estate career.'Karennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-88393381765903339542015-07-19T12:08:33.600-04:002015-07-19T12:08:33.600-04:00Trigger, your response last night does not surpris...Trigger, your response last night does not surprise me that lover-boy Brooks had other women in their relationship. Poor Crystal, working so hard; look what she had to tolerate.

To others who raised questions; Concerning Crystals' real estate business and her driving an older car; after doing my research into her volume of business, and realizing what a highly productive agent she was, AND with a boyfriend who lived basically off her (so far as we know at this point); it does not surprise me that she drove an older car. The b'stard was blowing her money on wine, women and song while she carried the bulk of the load, IMO.

One of my first questions was; 'why would she be out showing a rental property unless she needed money'? That's just it; she DID need money; but I also asked WHY? Yes, it was a relatively small county, but sales have been hot the last couple of years everywhere, particularly in that area; and if you know anything about real estate, sales, and real estate commissions and her volume of business, not only in THAT county but in surrounding counties, you will see that Crystal was a high achiever and a mass producer. Her broker can easily verify this.

You don't carry 53 listings without burning a LOT of midnight oil. A typical medium range producing agents generally carries approximately ten listings and with some of those in sales pending. Not only this, but those listings largely sell by other agents and brokers while you are out getting more listings. Crystal was an above average, heavy listing agent and knew what she was doing. There would have been no need for Crystal to be driving an older car unless her income was being siphoned off due to lover-boy baby daddy's extravagances.

Very sad. He used and took control of this poor woman, right down to her bitter end, while she worked her butt off. And even after death, with his refusal to allow her dad's search teams to search the farm. I hope he is being treated as the serious suspect he is. Her cousin and her broker would be the ones she shared confidences with. I think they know a lot, and hope they are questioned in-depth. This is hard...Crystal drove a 2007 Chevy Impala.

This is hardly what I would expect from a high producing realtor. Not that there are not always exceptions, but realtors are usually about image. Their car being part of that image. Most realtors I know drive luxury vehicles and tend to have a new vehicle every few years. Image is critical and clients may not see your home but ways see your car. So while it's possible she just wasn't as concerned about her car or just reay liked it, I don't think the comments of her doing really well fit.

I don't think she was wealthy at this time of her life.

I assume LE is checking financials on both her and Brooks. Could be a motive in this.

Also, I think the baby was possibly up running loose because of what was going on.

Then this comment

BROOKS "We have had a stressed relationship at times. And one of the ways that Crystal has always chose to cope or deal with that is by going to -- a young woman`s name, Sabrina"

He talks about how she would go to her cousins to cope and leads us to assume this may have happened. But doesn't say they argued or that she had any need to cope that night. To me this was alibi building. It maybe happened once so he's using this.

And the introduction of the cousin is poor. He describes her like he would describe the teller at the bank. I would never describe my husbands family as a "young man" or "young woman" but a "cousin, aunt, sister". He likely doesn't like her cousin as she probably knows the most about their relationship if that's who she goes to when she needs to cope.

So the comment about the cousin to me is alibi building. If so then he has a need for an alibi. Typically that would mean she was murdered. He would want her to be away from the home to distance himself

I also think the car being found was staged.

He tried to lead us to the idea she left and then her car is found abandoned.

He explained nothing but did try to lead us to another conclusion.

Now a warrant to search then all the sudden an illegal fire.

Evidence for sure.

This is going to be interesting.
trustmeigetithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05707304982363758140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-79385484440274087932015-07-18T20:04:15.415-04:002015-07-18T20:04:15.415-04:00According to Crystal's sister, Brooks Houck b...According to Crystal's sister, Brooks Houck brought other women into the relationship. Nancy disGrace was terribly remiss in not asking some of the questions that should have been asked.

I'm starting to wonder if Houck was one of those men who is along for the joy ride but the ride has become too much for him. Crystal was successful but already had four kids, now he has trapped himself with another one. High stress for a man who came along for the good times but wasn't looking to trap himself.

I sure hope not, but I am seriously starting to think he did something to Crystal the evening of July 3rd that resulted in her death and disposal sometime during that dreadful night. It's been two weeks now since Crystal went missing, with no other viable leads, and it's sure starting to stack up this way. Well then, why the hell wasn't Houck helping Crystal by taking care of the baby and getting him put to bed!

I have already proved (above) that Crystal was likely the major bread winner in that home, a VERY busy realtor, what was HIS part in helping her with the baby, AND by fixing their dinner? And why wouldn't he want her to have a little while of quiet mind diversion by playing her little games on the internet? Why would she need to be running around chasing after the baby when she's already had a long and tiring day?

Was he also a licensed real estate agent? I saw once where he said "we have listed....", implying that this was 'their' listing. Not according to the records I researched. ALL of their (or her) business was in Crystals' name; that makes it HER listing. But if he is a licensed realtor, why wasn't HE out showing the rental property? If they worked as a team I sure wasn't able to find it via my Google search, nonetheless, he could have taken some of the load off Crystal, beginning by taking care of the baby and food preparations, etc. Why didn't he?

My guess is that if either one of the two was having an affair, it would be him.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-65049925648800418762015-07-18T15:21:22.556-04:002015-07-18T15:21:22.556-04:00Per kimisan03: Good catch!

If the baby was in fact, "running loose in the house", who or what prevented Houck from containing/calming/parenting the baby. What was he doing that he wasn't attending to their child? Why didn't he intercept the child running loose in the house"? Sleeping? Doubtful, with a baby running loose in the house late at night. If he was sleeping, then how would he know the baby was running loose in the house? If he was sleeping, how would he know Crystal was playing games on the phone? If he was sleeping, how would he know she wasn't attending to the baby? Note: He did not say "the baby running loose in the house woke me up" or even "the baby woke me".

Was the baby running around screaming and crying due to whatever was going on? If he were 'just' running loose in the house, would that mean he would not be 'seeing' something happening between his parents elsewhere?

Or is this a subtle attempt at victim blaming? That Crystal couldn't care for her kids or didn't pay attention to them? This is in direct contrast to Crystal's mother saying she "never once" left her baby at home. Poor woman.kimisan03noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-88975275161853235282015-07-18T08:36:20.215-04:002015-07-18T08:36:20.215-04:00Finally, concerning Crystals' career; she woul...Finally, concerning Crystals' career; she would not have been out showing rental property had she not needed money. The real estate agent leasing a rental property only earns a portion of a one-month equivalency commission when she leases the property. This is not much by comparison to when the agent sells a property, particularly her own listing which carries a double commission; 1/2 for the listing side of the commission and 1/2 for the sales portion of the commission. Or more, never less; depending on her contractual arrangement with her broker. Some agents are so successful by volume in sales that they can earn up to 90-95% of the total commission.

A good listing agent, such as Crystal was, does not need to be out running around showing rental properties, even when it is her own listing. Showing rental properties can turn into ten showings a day and several tanks of gasoline and lunches and snacks and drinks for prospective tenants while the agent runs all over the countryside.

A busy realtor will assign the rental property showings to a less productive agent in her office as her time is better utilized and more valuable elsewhere, and she's going to get part of the rental commission anyway since she is the listing agent.

The fact that Crystal was out showing a rental property that afternoon proves that she needed money! Why? She was already in a high income bracket. Why was she in financial difficulty? IMO, baby daddy has some serious explaining to do. Every once in a while a real estate agent meets with foul play at the hands of a disgruntled buyer or seller who feels like they got cheated, or in a robbery situation. Did Crystal have one of those hanging onto her coattail and making her life miserable? Was she being stalked by anyone? Did she wear expensive jewelry?

Did her boyfriend leave the home that evening after he claims he went to bed leaving Crystal up and playing a game? Who put the baby to bed? If b/f quietly went to bed around midnight and she was quietly playing a game on the internet, why would she need to leave the home to go elsewhere to get a peaceful nights' sleep? Have the older children been interviewed? With the volume of business she was doing it sounds like she was the major bread winner in that home, possibly in excess of 100K per year. For an agent to do the volume of listings and sales Crystal was doing, they have to be sharp, alert, and on their toes. They need their rest.

What was his career and income? Was she having an affair; was he? I wonder what his nag with her was about that would cause her to have to leave the home in the middle of the night and go to a cousins' home to get some sleep when she was already exhausted? Was the cousin expecting her? Their home was not a peaceful environment. Lots of questions here with no explanations from baby daddy. She had numerous active listings and would have been in a higher commissioned sales income bracket. A successful realtor does not have much down time in real estate. This was no part-time job.

Researching her listings (53!) and closed sales it is easy to see that she was a very busy 'on the go' sales associate; the job she was doing would have taken up most if not nearly all of her waking time and can become terribly exhausting. Her Wal-Mart trips and any other running around she did would have been done on the fly and between appointments. I did not see her boyfriends' name on any of her listings. Was he a part of her business? Either way, the business was hers since the listings were all in her name, not his.

He claims she was playing games on the internet that evening until he went to bed at midnight? When would this woman, the mother of five kids and one of those just a toddling baby, have had much time for playing games on the internet? She wouldn't. There is something amiss in his story and in the timeline. I will start by saying that it would not be easy to bring this terrible thing to the attention of the public or to report it to LE no matter who you are, or whether you are trying to live a Christian lifestyle or not.

Something like this is a shattering matter parents would want to keep quietly to themselves and deal with it in the privacy of their own home. IMO, one would labor long and hard trying to decide the best thing to do in a case such as this. I think the first thing I would do is keep the matter to myself, making sure that it is never known by any friends, neighbors, church groups, church pastor, relatives, LE, or anyone else; but with a goal towards protecting my daughters first and foremost. Sometimes people do not need to be told what to do, just button their lip and use their own sound judgment. This is one of those cases.

From the moment they first learned of Josh's molestations of his sisters, I would have gotten him out of the house permanently by sending him off to boarding school, military school or some such other live-in learning facility; Christian or otherwise, and would have gotten private counseling for him. I would also have obtained private counseling for my daughters.

I would NOT have allowed Josh to remain in the home, only later to learn that he had done it again, plus run the risk they were taking that he would molest other little girls, which apparently he did, at least one other. I might have allowed him to return home for Christmas Holidays and maybe I wouldn't have; it would only have been by agreement with the daughters he molested and their counselors. This sorry situation did not need to happen a second time nor did it ever need to become public knowledge.

Otherwise, many of the same steps the Duggers took, I would have taken myself.

Agree or disagree, this is a marvelous example of someone who can likely do very well at Statement Analysis because the anonymous poster attempts to put herself or himself into the shoes of the person. To me that’s not alarming.”

McCubbin said it was a take-home car, and Houck’s mother lives on the farm on Paschal Ballard Road near the intersection of Balltown and Loretto roads.

McCubbin said Officer Nick Houck, a patrolman, would not have information about the pending search warrant for his family’s property. McCubbin said patrol officers normally don’t have knowledge of pending search warrants even in their own department, and he pointed out that Rogers’ disappearance is being investigated by the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

When contacted Thursday, Nelson County Sheriff Ed Mattingly would not comment on the status of the investigation, and said he would neither confirm nor deny if Officer Houck’s cruiser had been searched or processed for evidence.

Mattingly said the investigation continues and his detectives are still waiting on lab results from some of the possible evidence they have recovered. He said the FBI has lended assistance.

“We’re not at a point where we need to be saying anything,” Mattingly said.

The standard attempted to contact Nick Houck late Thursday but was unsuccessful.

Police say Rogers was last seen on Friday, July 3, at the Houck family farm, in the company of Brooks Houck.

Rogers was reported missing on July 5 by her parents around 2 p.m. after they say they grew concerned because they had not heard from their daughter. At around 5 p.m. Rogers’ father and brother found her vehicle on the side of the westbound Bluegrass Parkway with a flat tire. Inside were her cell phone, keys and other personal items.

The following Monday, the Sheriff’s Office held a press conference announcing she was missing and asking the public for help solving her disappearance. At that press conference, Mattingly acknowledged tensions between the boyfriend and family. He also described Houck as helpful and cooperating with the investigation.

Shortly after its discovery, family and friends began searching the area surrounding the stretch along the Bluegrass Parkway where Rogers’ car was found. Kentucky State Police and other agencies have also given support. A multitude of volunteers have joined in the search, and in recent days volunteers have shifted to other areas around the county, including the Ky. 49 area.

Houck has made limited statements to local media despite numerous attempts to contact him, but did appear on the nationally broadcast “Nancy Grace” show on July 9.

During that interview, Houck said he had last seen Rogers the evening of July 3 after they returned from the family farm when he went to bed and she was still awake playing games on her phone. He said when he awoke, she was not in the house but he was not alarmed. He said the couple has had a “stressed relationship” at times, and Rogers was known to leave for a cousin’s house to cope.

Houck told Grace he tried calling Rogers on July 4 prior to heading to a family gathering.

The family has repeatedly said to media that they question whether Brooks Houck has shared all the information he knows about Rogers’ disappearance, and do not believe she was in her car when it was abandoned on the Bluegrass.

Late Thursday afternoon, Bardstown Mayor John Royalty was asked whether the Sheriff’s Office had impounded Nick Houck’s police car, or was being questioned in the investigation.

The mayor replied in a text message that the investigation is ongoing, and he can’t talk about it.ima.grandmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09319771909287767461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-42487029656622396392015-07-17T16:03:26.951-04:002015-07-17T16:03:26.951-04:00Boyfriend who last reportedly saw her has brother ...Boyfriend who last reportedly saw her has brother on police force

BPD connection to Rogers investigation questioned

Since shortly after Crystal Rogers went missing nearly two weeks ago, family members have voiced their suspicions that her boyfriend is tied in some way to her disappearance.

But in recent days, those suspicions have expanded to encompass more than just Brooks Houck, her 33-year-old live-in boyfriend and father of one of her five children. Several family members have also raised questions about Houck’s brother, Nick Houck, who is a Bardstown Police officer.

Several volunteers searching along Ky. 49 have reported seeing a Bardstown Police cruiser and another vehicle matching the description of Brooks’ vehicle pass by their field headquarters in the direction of the Houck family farm.

There have also been reports that Nick Houck was on administrative leave or suspended, and that his police cruiser had been seized as part of the investigation into Rogers’ disappearance.

Bardstown Police Chief Rick McCubbin acknowledged the rumors about Houck’s absence Thursday, and said they are false. But when pressed about the details of Houck’s cruiser, McCubbin declined to comment.

“He is not on administrative leave. He is not suspended. There’s nothing,” McCubbin said regarding Nick Houck’s duties with the department.

McCubbin said his officer was due back on Monday and was currently off work with the rest of his patrol platoon as part of his normal duty rotation.

When asked about Houck’s police cruiser, McCubbin said he could only confirm that the car had broken down and had to be towed. But it was not in the shop, and the Bardstown Police Department did not have the vehicle in its possession Thursday.

When asked where the cruiser was, McCubbin said that was a question the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office would have to answer.

Houck’s cruiser was allegedly seen traveling along Ky. 49 July 8 around sunset. Police have confirmed a search warrant was executed on the family farm — the last place police say Rogers was reported being seen by anyone other than Houck — on July 10.ima.grandmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09319771909287767461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-23056453570971036062015-07-17T15:48:54.227-04:002015-07-17T15:48:54.227-04:00I've thought about how the Duggers handled (or...I've thought about how the Duggers handled (or mishandled, as it were); the molestations of their daughters by their son, Josh, and wondered what I would have done differently.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-48645386712688112182015-07-17T14:43:07.849-04:002015-07-17T14:43:07.849-04:00Illegal burn extinguished on Houck farm

The person being interviewed is Jennifer Pusateri, a friend of Jay Wilds. Jay was supposedly Adnan's assistant when burying Hae Min Lee. Jay supposedly told Jenn what had happened the same night it occurred - that Adnan had killed Hae, and that he helped bury Hae and hide Hae's car. But in this interview, Jenn is saying it was 2 weeks later when they learned "Hae's body was missing."

The link is an image of the interview transcript.

http://m.imgur.com/a/F1OmiMzOpinion8dnoreply@blogger.com
