This is a very valid question, I never suggested that it out-right means a lie, I am asking why it is a red-flag indicator other than "so and so said it is more often used" well, where and what is his hard, scientific research to back up this claim?

Please read posts before commenting, not everyone coming here questioning things is totally unaware of how it works, I get that it is a **possible indicator**, hence the phrasing 'red flag indicator' on my part

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-2551338400426753722013-10-09T14:40:40.509-04:002013-10-09T14:40:40.509-04:00"I think they killed my husband," she sa..."I think they killed my husband," she said through audible sobs.

--In innocent 911 calls, wouldn't the people asking for help for the victim not accept that the victim is dead. She tells the events in the order they happened rather than pleading for help...perhaps to keep her story straight.

Rebutting what I just said... this is one small part of an 8 minute call. If the wife begged for help earlier, then the operator told the wife to tell her in order what happened, then it is reflective language.

In the actual call the wife uses "somebody" and changes to "they." Somebody is more specific than they. It suggests she knew or recognized them as they entered the home, but distances herself when they "asked" for money.

The wife says "MY house". My is unexpected as she was in the home with her husband and child. I would think she would use "our."

"and then" suggests something more happened between entering the home and asking for money.

Not only is "asking" soft, but she says "were asking." This suggests the action was not completed. What or who stopped the asking for money.

If she only heard the shots, she would have no idea her husband is dead. He simply might have been shot and that would have been more appropriate to say. Heck, for all she knew her husband might have done the shooting. To me "I think" suggests a plan or knowledge he is dead.

Last, behavior wise...removing her and her child to another room suggests knowing her and not wanting to hurt her.

I would investigate alternate scenarios here. One, that the wife hired someone. Two, that there was something else going on...drug deal? Three, an argument between the wife and husband about money. Possibly even that they were separated and the husband came to "MY house. You 'ask' someone to hand you a napkin, you don't 'ask' for money in an armed home invasion robbery.

-She buries the 'headline' at the end. The most important thing is getting help for her husband who has been shot. Her first words to the operator should have been..'I need an ambulance, my husband has been shot', or something similar. Instead she immediately accepts that he is likely dead, and makes no pleas for help, or instructions for first aid/CPR in hopes of saving his life.

"Then I heard three shots," she said.

-Then she heard '3' shots (skips over a lot of details). Maybe he was shot 3 times, it will be interesting to find out how many times he was actually shot from the autopsy. But more importantly, why is there no mention of the 'intruders' leaving? Why did they leave her alive to ID them? Did she not run directly to her injured husband and attempt to render him aid, give him CPR, barricade herself and her son while calling 911, etc.

-Instead she goes to a neighbor's, (what if 'they' were still outside) leaving her husband with no possibility of CPR.
