Al Sharpton on White House Contact

Did the White House ask Al Sharpton's advice on replacing Eric Holder?

It would be an honor to be called to advise the White House, and one in which would be personally a boost to his resume and provide traction for his career.

Immediately after Eric Holder announced he was stepping down, civil right activist Al Sharpton, a liberal host on MSNBC, said the administration was consulting with him about who should be the next top dog at the Justice Department.

'We are engaged in immediate conversations with the White House on deliberations over a successor whom we hope will continue in the general direction of Attorney General Holder,' Sharpton said Thursday

If the White House asked your opinion, would you say "we", or "I"?

Obama praises, AGAIN, Muslim cleric, who has backed "holy war against Americans"

The white house, over the years, has apologized for praising him but our beloved president obama did it AGAIN today!!

It should be "who" not "whom". Sheesh.

Maybe Mr. Sharpton is using the "royal we," since he obviously thinks of himself as royalty /s

Anon at 6:00PM. That is an interesting statement. Trying to learn from Peter, this is my opinion:

The Tempo owner, an event coordinator, and the woman who worked the door made comments in another article that tracked the timeline of the POI. Matthew bought TWO drinks. He told his family members he bought Hannah a drink. The police had a witness placing Hannah inside the bar (who could be reliable, or not). The comments made from those associated with the Tempo say Hannah was not SERVED, and she was not SEEN by people they asked. A possible explanation concerning mistaken identity (another woman wore a similar top) is provided. The important observation I made: Not once did I see the statement "Hannah was not inside the Tempo restaurant."

What a colossal montebank is Mr. Sharpton. Doesn't anyone recall his esteemed place in guiding the Tawana Brawley hoax? Good grief!I give up.

yeah -- I'm not sure hat to make of it myself. I'm tempted to think the owner just doesn't want to get in trouble for knowingly having under age girl in his bar and also - -he doesn't want the stigma of a horrific crime to put him out of business. both a reasonable motives that migh make him make some not-entirely-honest statements. but on the other hand -- this is a missing person -- he seems like a decent guy - and surely wants to be factual to help fin the girl. which makes me think maybe it was hard to see her in the bar?? di matthews buy two drinks total? that would mean one for each. did her put her in some corder so as not to get carded? possible/ she had been turned away from a different bar earlier in the night. I dunno --- but it's interesting /

By using "we" and "with the White House", he tells me he's not in on the decision.

He also does not say he is consulting, but calling the "White House" hoping to be consulted.

Further, he wants the candidate to follow the steps of Holder. (Civil Rights?) My best guess from that statement is he has a candidate in mind. Look for Sharpton to push for someone who is a strong civil rights advocate, who is already in the Justice Dept., who will pursue his agenda.

OT, i like this quote from Wes Clark.

LIES Linguistic Interrogation Expert Services.

Expect someone to lie and you will likely find a twig resembling that, but at the same time miss the log reflecting the truth! Avoid confirmation bias.

sharpton of late has presented himself clothed as a street dandy and pimp perhaps costumed for the movies. It is an interesting look in the White House context where he is apparently welcomed.
Is he who I think could give good advice to bho?
No, but remember, bho doesn't accept advice, only orders from that iranian jarrett, and also george soros.
Everything else is a photo op.

If the white house is asking for Sharpton's help with anything, God help us all.
