Belief, Articulation, and Action Part One: Blackburn Murder

This is the first in several articles on the topic of "Belief, Articulation, and Action" that centers upon one's words revealing one's belief system, allowing us to adequately predict how someone may react in any given situation.

This article focuses upon the murder of Amanda Blackburn and a recent statement by her husband, Davey Blackburn.

He said that he was in the shower when God spoke to him and told him that Amanda died to give life to his church.

It is critical to have a reference point for readers to understand what this means within Blackburn's own world.  In Statement Analysis, we do what we can to 'walk in the subject's shoes', to understand what he says, according to he believes.

What we belief, we articulate and this is the best predictor of what may happen tomorrow.

"Amanda died so the church could live."

Christianity teaches that God is the Father, and that Christ died for His Church, that is, his people made up of both Jew and Gentile; and of people of all races and nationalities.  This message was then delivered to the men that Christ commissioned and has gone out through the world within history.  This is a central to their beliefs:  Christ died to give life to His people.  God is the Father.

In this short video dated Sunday, November 29th, 2015, Davey Blackburn said he was not going to speak but his father in law told him to, and in this, he must obey his own "father" before he "speak to my own children", that is, his church (in full context).

Rare is such visible linguistic display of narcissism but in this, he was only just getting started.   He began with stating he might not be able to "get through" speaking, but then went into the free editing process to speak without halting.

What did the husband of murder victim Amanda Blackburn say, weeks after her murder?

Blackburn stated that "God" spoke to him while in the shower.  This was in a direct "Question and Answer" format. It began as a "thought" but quickly moved to direct quotes.

For Christians, and for investigators regardless of belief, it is important to note his claim:

God spoke to Blackburn outside the boundary of the Scriptures.

This is important in understanding the murder in the context of religious belief of which the language is wrapped in.  It is important in understanding how cults are formed.  Once a boundary is broken, there is no telling how far it will go. The flood gate is open.  For some, it is immediate, while others, such as organizations, it can be generational.

It is important in understanding the psychological need he is expressing.

I.  Basic Background

The Christian minister professes that the Bible is of Divine Authority and he is to declare it. There is no other Divine Authority than what is in Scripture.

The most predominant feature of a cult is "control", something readily recognized by people, even without study of religions.

This can be understood in religious context, or even in societal, or corporate context.

In Protestantism, the stated belief is called a "Creed", and it is a "binding of the conscience to the Scripture alone." Every church has a creed; it is just that some do not write it down, but they have it.  Every human organization, such as a company, has a 'creed' or written standard.
In Roman Catholicism, it is the same but with the addition of "sacred tradition" and Papal "ex cathedra" authority.  But since Blackburn reports to be "evangelical", we limit this to Protestantism.

With the stated belief that the Bible is God's Word, a minister cannot be faithful to it if or when he decides to instruct or speak for beyond this authority.

Even beginning it with "speaking to my heart" he still moved to direct quoting.  It would be no different than a president declaring a new law, without legislative procedure.  It is 'beyond' the scope of his authority and if accepted, there is no longer a limit in existence. This is the precise way a cult operates and a dictatorship operates.

Authority is "beyond" that which is agreed to.   Once one has successfully gone beyond the set boundary (law, constitution, creed, mission statement, etc), the success may lead to more attempts.

The scriptures, in fact, limit authority of government, church and family to the point where our founding fathers used it in forming the United States.  It allows for freedom which, historically, was without precedent in the early United States.  With this freedom comes responsibility and risk.  People can and have abused freedom, but with the belief system, corrections came along the way. Freedom and Tyranny are opposites.

If the church states that its beliefs are from Scripture, it tells those who consider joining that they are limited to Scripture in authority.

Cults, like tyrants, seek control and when people begin hearing what  is not found in the Scripture, creed, or by laws, but from "God", they take note that control is going "beyond the stated trusted boundary"and there is no telling where it will end.

Let's say this is a library and not a church.

The library organizes itself and has a board of directors and a mission statement and when people "join", they know "the rules."

Should someone in the library group have a very strong personality and begins to first suggest that he knows more than the bylaws, and then moves to demands, the remaining people can try to "hold him to the library's constitution and by laws" and if not, toss him out. They rightfully claim "tyranny" because they have a written standard.

Our forefathers in the United States believed, religiously, in submission to authority and persuaded France to join the fight, specifically with this argument.  They were not in a "revolution", but a "resistance movement" because British Parliament did not represent them, and they had no legal authority to tax them.  They claimed that the oppressive taxes interfered with their Christian obligation which mandated that they had to provide for their families.  They made lengthy protests to the King stating, "you are obliged in our contract to stop Parliament who issues taxes while not representing us, and then enforcing the taxes with their soldiers.  You are legally and morally obligated to stop them. "

The king did not. The leaders took this to the people, who, many of them, took up arms against British soldiers.  Had England won, the very heroes we celebrate, would now be "villains" hung for treason.  When John Hancock signed the Declaration of Independence, the loss of the war would have meant death by hanging, and infamy in history.

He did what he believed, as freedom has its risks.

II.  Blackburn's statement is important because:

1.  It reaffirms why Amanda died.
2.  It affirms Blackburn is beyond the restraint of Scripture
3.  He equates himself with God
4.  He reveals delusional grander in his future plans.

5.  For what it tells Criminal Psychologists

1.  Amanda's death

Fox News highlighted that when Amanda was murdered, the initial statement of the husband looked suspicious:  no grieving, but a reminder that his work will go on.  This was shocking in itself, but what else was missing was any fear of the killers.  In a brutal murder where he found his wife with her head opened up and clothes removed is terrifying from top to bottom.  He indicated no fear, nor need for the killers to be caught.

He used her death to advertise his church, repeatedly, even after public criticism.  He linked her death, verbally, to his success.

But on November 29th, 2015, Amanda's death, which was consistently assigned to success in church growth, now was in a statement from God, Himself, to Davey Blackburn, himself, while "in the shower."

"In the shower" is an unnecessary detail which, in statement analysis means it is very important to the subject.  We would not care to know where he was or what he was doing when the Almighty spoke to him.  We would not care, but he cared enough to include this detail.

Please note that in sexual homicides, references to water are frequently found in the language.  You may read about it here and in Amanda Knox' statement and in many other cases.

Psychologically, there may be an element of 'washing' and we only highlight references to water (as well as lights and coverings) when they are unnecessary.  If one is asked, "Did you do the laundry?" a reference to water is expected.

On the rape and murder of a teenager many years ago the suspect was a truck driver and his statement revealed the time of death:

"I was driving along Interstate 95 when I went south on 295, stopped and got gas.  Washed up, and then proceeded to..."

The unnecessary inclusion of "washing" pointed to the time of death, being just prior.  The need to 'wash' or 'cleanse' is in the language.

It could be the language of the perpetrator, the victim of sexual abuse, or even enter the language of professionals who work with sexual abuse victims, but it is, when unnecessarily used, a linguistic signal to explore.

It is interesting to note that when he claimed God "spoke" to him, he referenced specifically being in the shower, while:

a.  his wife was murdered and found with her clothing removed
b.  his mentor gave a detailed statement about Davey's 'sex appeal' at Amanda's service
c.  he frequently informed his followers that he has a strong heterosexual sex drive which Amanda failed to satisfy
d.  He "told a lie" which in high school caused both adults and peers to abandon him

2.   God "spoke to him" which now means this for Protestantism:

The insufficiency of Scripture.

'God' addressed Davey directly, outside of Scripture in a Question and Answer format, in the shower.  God cannot be wrong.  God is eternal.  God's Word is eternal and even a single Word from God about a unique situation from 3,000 years ago, is seen in the Bible as having benefit for all mankind, for all time.

Without 'God's words' to Davey, the Bible is insufficient.  There is something out there that needs to be added to it, and, in this case, it is 'really big news' of 'historical proportions.'

It is no different than the 'date setting' that cult or cult like leaders have done, or the psychic 'finding of children' claimed.

Thus the message of insufficiency without Davey Blackburn is the message to all who listen to him.

His father in law is now in the presence of one of whom "God" speaks directly to and has even told this young man what is going to happen in the future in the United States.

If you are not associated with religion, but can see this from the perspective of the "library" or legal organization,

Davey Blackburn has just spoken with Divine Authority.  If his father in law goes against him and defends his church, is he speaking against Davey, his son in law, or is he speaking against 'God'?

If you want to hear from "God", you must hear what "God" told Davey Blackburn.  Since any Word from the Almighty is eternal and profits all, those who have not heard, need to, and those who do not heed, are in deficiency.

Davey Blackburn has just seized the opportunity of his wife's murder for cult leader status.

He even used this to insult his father in law's church, without a rebuke from the father in law, as pastor, when he called them "dead" and "dry" and that "Amanda died to give them life!" which led those without discernment to applaud.

How did he 'know' this?

He had a "vision."

There was no rebuke nor correction from the pastor who allowed his flock to hear the nonsense while being given a solid "performance" from one who attempted to sound 'upset' at first, yet without tears.

Thus the cult leader's status is established and submission to one who is so close to 'God' as to have 'God' talk to him while in the shower, is publicly declared.

Blackburn did not stop at the status of a "prophet" with visions and a direct two way conversation in the shower.

3.  Davey Blackburn equates himself with God.

Is this the mystery of the "we" he so often used?

Please note, he does not equate himself as a "prophet" in his language, but is vaulted to equality with God.

If so, it is something that makes sense to not only hide guilt, but to show just how delusional he is.

He has no wife and when asked what he would tell his son, he said,

"We will dialog" with Weston.  "We will shepherd his heart."

It would have been considered rude, but I would have asked, "Who is this 'we' you refer to, Mr. Blackburn?"

Davey  referenced his church as his "children."

The use of "we" is well documented and it is closely associated with guilt, from childhood right up to career criminals; the guilty do not feel comfortable being alone.

Davey Blackburn tells us that Amanda died to give his church life.  Blackburn said that God did not ask him about doing this trade, his wife for the church, ahead of time.  What would have Blackburn said?

"Of course", he said, he would not "give" Amanda's life for the church.

"Of course" is something we note in Statement Analysis  as one will say when a subject does not wish, nor feel the need, to be questioned. The subject wants the assertion accepted without question.

Blackburn's use of "of course" should have been unnecessary, but it was not.

Amanda died for the church, who are Blackburn's children.  This is his own language which brings the correlation between himself and 'God.'  The Scripture says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." not that Amanda gave her life for the church of whom Davey Blackburn is father.  Remember, this is his belief, and his articulation.  It is his verbalized perception of reality; not reality itself.

Here, "God" told Davey that Amanda gave her life for the church, as he calls the church his children.

This, alone, should send a chill down the spine of those investigating any connection between Blackburn and the gang who killed Amanda.  The reaction from Christians is predictable as it is from psychologists.  What is seen as outrageous, blasphemy, mental illness or personality disorder, received applause by those present.  This is consistent with his mentor's language about "Davey working a room" and what presence he has, yet, "something is wrong..."

4.  Blackburn's Delusion of Grander

He said that "history books have not written" what greatness is about to happen through Davey Blackburn, because of Amanda's death.

Over the years, I have noted many justifications by killers with most being subtle in the language.  Some have said that they killed their own children to spare them from future pain, but even there, the 'noble' or 'higher' motive reveals:

a.  The need to make the motive sound 'noble'
b.  It was not the truth, anyway.

Susan Smith was depressed and wanted to spare her children future pain.  This was the illness justification and the 'noble' motive, yet we learned that she felt she, herself, had better romantic results without children.

The need to assign motive, itself, is concerning.

Even in his religious "vision", he leaves himself a way of blaming someone else:  "don't let this go to waste", so that if it does not happen, he can blame them.  The "revival" like never before, will not be because he was 'wrong' but because they let it waste.

This man believes that the Creator of the world is not only talking directly to him, but he felt the need to say that it was in an intimate setting of "showering", something found in sexual homicides, and it was a message that contains information so great about him, that it is beyond historical precedence.

Will many people be surprised if police announce an arrest?

He says that he would not have "chosen" this, but would have been happy to have a wife and 2 kids and a "church of a 120"

Interesting.

The setting is rather 'dull' by comparison of a church so large that history hasn't conceived of it, and by context, he is portraying the church of over 100 members in the negative, as if their souls are less valuable.

This is not the first time we heard this from him.

Statement Analysis showed that linguistically he did not connect himself, personally, to the loss of Amanda.

Yet, he records himself with linguistic personal emotional connection to "failure" to get 400 people out to his church.  If this is not convincing enough, he compares something else to this, to highlight his disappointment:  salvation of 16 souls.  Whereas Heaven may be described as "celebratory" over one lost soul returning, 16 times that amount brought personal emotional disappointment in language stronger than in losing his own wife to murder. While his wife lay dead, he quotes how many customers attended on line.

What we believe, we articulate, and we act upon.

You now are looking at a man who believes himself equal to God, and the church his "children" and he, too, has given someone to die for the church.  I do not write that he gave someone he loved because Blackburn specifically avoided this in his distancing language.

The language of delusion is evident.  Being able, then, to adequately predict what actions will follow is not difficult:

Expect to see him do "whatever it takes" to "fulfill" the "vision" he had.

He is no different than a psychic claiming to have found a lost child, except he wraps his in religious language.

I believe that he self reports a history of anti-social behavior, without empathy of its impact upon others.  This is why his language is void of any emotion about Amanda's death, or even about his son losing his mother.

His language is the language of guilt and delusional thought, as one who is exploiting others, with religion as merely a tool to use to accomplish his "vision" of overseeing an empire so great that history books have yet to be written of such.

His obsession with projecting his sex drive before his followers is done in context with humiliating the victim of the murder. This too, as projection, is part of this murder investigation.  His own mentor addressed this very topic instead of Christ's resurrection, or even tribute to the victim.

Blackburn's language is the language of distance, guilt, and narcissism.  He is obsessed with success, and even under scrutiny, he is incapable of refraining his ambition.

He has now openly declared "why" Amanda died and this came directly from "God" to him in the shower.  Previously, seated alone before a camera he said that "we" were "baffled" as to "why", but now it is clear.

5.  The connection of sex

As many have commented upon, he is obsessed with sex in his performances, and it was a theme even of his mentor in the memorial service. In 'sermons' he uses himself, repeatedly, as the example for sex.   Note now, even when he is hearing a voice, the subtle context of sexuality is in play:

He heard the voice of "God" in the shower; and held his own
"Q &A" with the Almighty while naked in the shower.  Do not miss the connection with his other "Q&A" where sex is also a topic.

He reveals this, even under the delusional pretext.  He wants his listeners to picture his "Q & A" literally, with him without his clothes on.  This is not something that was essential for the narrative, yet it so dominates his thinking that it enters his language.

Amanda was found with her clothes torn off her.

If tests show she was not sexually assaulted, was this possibly staging of the crime scene?  Was the perpetrator told, perhaps, what we, the public had been told about Amanda's 'sexual inadequacy' (according only to her husband)?

Is this just another in an extreme list of coincidence?

He did not have to tell us that he was, too, without clothing when he had a "Q & A" with "God", but he did.  It was on his mind, and important to him.  That he was not only naked (sex) but was in the shower (water) may suggest the desire to be cleansed.

Who was with him in the shower?
It was "God" in the shower with him.

Criminal Pyschologists will wonder if this is a cry to forgiveness, a 'cleansing' that we see enter the language of perpetrators.

He saw an insulting "vision" of Amanda's father's church
He has been assigned this great task of "bringing the church, his children, to life" because

"Amanda died, so the church could live."

This too, will not be lost on police investigating this crime.

*Is he involved in orchestrating the murder of Amanda Blackburn for his own success?

or

*Is he so sociopathic and narcissistic that he is incapable of human empathy and sees her death only in terms of how he can manipulate media and audiences for his own success?

Analysis Conclusion:

Davey Blackburn did not have a "Q & A" session in the shower with God.  His need to tell his audience that he was in the shower is significant.

Move past the cult leader status, and past the claim of a "vision" that will propel him into the history books, and even move beyond equating himself with God, giving in death so others could live.

Listen to him.  Listen to his need.

When a little boy comes to school and the teacher has to prompt him to wash his hands before snack, this is normal and unremarkable.

Should the same child come to school and the teacher notice that he is obsessively washing his hands, she will become concerned that something is very wrong with him, and will wonder if he is a victim of child abuse.

In many investigations, the same is seen in the language.

Victims and perpetrators both use references to water, in some form, in cases involving sexual abuse including sexual homicide.

Both victim and perpetrator can show a  'need to wash' or be cleansed.

I once had a nursing student make an unnecessary reference to water and asked me why this was.  I simply asked her a few questions which revealed:  She had just come from a class on sexual abuse of children and was shocked and felt a desire to take  shower.  The connection made sense to her.

In investigating allegations of sexual abuse where the victim was mentally retarded and non-verbal, behavioral patterns are observed. Some victims refused to leave the home and wanted to take a shower every few hours.  Others became incessant hand washers.  Even when their words could not express it, their behavior did.

For Blackburn, he is putting himself with 'God', the one who can 'wash' him, together, as having a conversation, literally with Questions and Answers, where he, himself can be 'cleansed.' This is why the location of God talking to his "heart" is important enough for him to tell the audience.

He now places himself, with a desperation to be historically relevant; he is so important that 'God' is speaking intimately to Davey and making Davey of immense importance.

It is easy to become angry at one who is taking a cult leader status, but listen to his words; listen to the choice of words he uses to convey the message:

He needs to be cleansed;
He is without his clothes on;
He is the single most important person in that large room where this was spoken; all eyes were on him and the Almighty did not speak to any of them,
just Davey.

The message makes Davey of "historical importance" and center of all that is about to happen.  He and God both, are the "father" of the church.

Yet, in the words he chooses, we see the connection to the need of cleaning, specifically related to sexual abuse or sexual homicide.

Blackburn has a need to be relevant that is so powerful that it literally overruled all the normal grieving reactions that any man would have who's wife was murdered. He 'sees' what was not what his eyes saw.

If he is not connected to his wife's murder, the guilt would have to be explained in some other way, yet, what did he tell us in this video appearance at his father in law's church?

This is the language of guilt but even in the language of delusion of his future 'history making' acclaims, there is something very wrong with him and readers should consider not only the connection with sexual homicide or sexual abuse, but the fact that

Davey Blackburn is broadcasting a need to be 'cleansed.'

He has a need to justify Amanda's death.
He has a desperate need to be important, above all others, even to the point of making history.

He has a need to be cleansed from sexual abuse, either as victim, or as perpetrator is not yet known, as it could be both.

He has gone so far as to equate himself equal with God, as both he and God know what it is like to have their loved one die so the church could 'live.' Amanda's "breathe" was taken from her and put into the "church" to become an army for God.

Blasphemous?  Yes, to the Christian, but to the Criminal Psychologist,  it is the words of a man terribly troubled and it must be learned if he orchestrated his wife's demise to profit from it and make himself the center of soon to be written history, or simply is one drive to profit from it.  He is calling out his own guilt.

Listen to him:

'I am the most important person here. I am of historical importance. Even the Creator has addressed me personally.  I and He are on the same level in having given one for the life of others.

I am naked.

I am in a location of washing.'

God is present with me.

It is true that many have made such grandiose claims, but we ask:  did those claims come on the heels of a murder?  The context of these delusions is murder.

AMANDA GRACE
“Worthy of being loved,”
The name “Amanda” means
Tis true, you were…and are
Love--bursting at the seams!

When you were born that hot July
Your parents showered you with love
And named you after His Grace
Which they experienced from above.

Your 28 years on earth were a gift,
Precious, to all who loved you.
You lived your life in praise to Him
An example all Christians should do.

The Proverbs 31 woman you lived
And daily, your walk lived your talk
A precious soul, a godly one
You lived your life by His Book.

Now as you reap your Heavenly reward
Where your earthly wounds have healed
Our empty hearts are left empty behind
And clinging to the One True Hope that is real.

We’ll carry on the torch you left
For God’s work is not yet done
We’ll win souls to Jesus like your example
Until the last day God has won.

Your heart was as big as the ocean
And all who knew you were blessed
You were a twinkling star among us
A sunshine of warmth---the best!

Autumn leaves wafted to the ground
As your soul left this earthly place
For it is not “goodbye,” but “see you soon”
As we remember you, dear, sweet, Amanda Grace.

Bless her as she is now an angel in GOD's hands and looking down upon you, her family and friends, I didn't know her but have grown to know her, the last few days, and she was blessed, but GOD called her home to be with him he needed her with him now. She was an angel here on earth and now she has her wings in heaven with him. I am praying for all that you get thru this time of sorrow. And a hedge of protection around your lil guy that he will learn thru memories that he was loved so much by his mom and that he will learn to be ok and its ok to miss his mommy but he's ok and that he will grow to love GOD like you all do that nothing stands in his way, in Jesus name AMEN.

Louise - Police aren't elected here. Policemen are city employees. A police chief is usually appointed by a mayor.

County law enforcement (called deputies) are part of the Sheriff's department. The Sheriff is elected, the deputies are not.

State law enforment personnel are also called police.

Marion county is different. They consolidated a few years ago. I'm not sure exactly how it works there, but with the exception of those at the very top, they are hired, not elected.

Is that clear as mud?

"I wonder why Amanda and her child had to die?"

That is the million dollar question. Logically speaking, why would God need to take Amanda's life to further his church? He had already made the ultimate sacrifice of His Son once and for all.

He didn't need Davey's wife to do anything. Didn't God tell Moses or Abraham that He could raise rocks to be his children? He didn't need any man (or woman) to increase his Kingdom.

So what blasphamy is Davey boy pitching that anyone who really listened and thought about it would accept?

It boils down to rationalization of her death and why he is not mourning as a natural occurance to death of a loved one. Regardless of your religious belief.

Over the top sociopathic mimmicing of what He thinks a mourning Christian should do. (and getting everyone to believe Amanda was sacrificed for their re-salvation won't hurt the old coffers either.

Regarding Proverbs 31 -

Superwoman, I agree

The poster earlier who was wrangling and home schooling 8 kids is Almost My Hero.

I simply cannot imagine how (or why) she does it but I know a Superwoman when I see one!

Amanda also was Superwoman - keeping the Davey Flag waving while being perfect in every way mustve been exhausting!

However, the undercurrent of the entire Resonate Message seems to be Women can sit right down and shut right up.

Think of it.

There's no women Pastors that we know of. None with a microphone.

Amanda has been praised for her Godliness but fekk all else, like she was nothing BUT a Proverbs 31 woman

This, I find disturbing

If she had a father of the sitdownshutup type it would make sense she married one too

Are women relegated to the We'll Give You An Entire Proverb section of this religion?

They certainly don't seem to be needed onstage

Davey in particular refers to Amanda as some sort of quasi servant, prop, life coach for God

Nothing about the pure soul of Amanda, who loved Aretha Franklin and Anne of Green Gables, who cried at Weston's birth, who was so excited about Everett she'd already got paint swatches. :(

Just about how Proverb 31 she was.

Weird...soulless, somehow.

I think Amanda may have been going through a lot of abuse, mentally, emotionally, physically, but had no one to turn to. Was there anyone normal or supportive around her? Sure doesn't seem like it. I believe Amanda's family backs Davey 100% and while I understand they have to for the purpose of seeing Weston, they sure don't have to let him get up in their church and speak, they don't have to lay hands on him, they don't have to be over the top when speaking about him. It appears, everyone around Amanda failed her miserably and if le missed the tell tale signs of this one, well they can just step in a long line of people who let Amanda down, even in her own murder.

I have faith in IMPD. As others have noted, this aint their first rodeo. They no doubt wonder at Davey's lack of emotional reaction (immediate and delayed) to the gruesome crime scene and violent death of his wife. No fear, sorrow, tears?

I followed another case in Indy in 2012 - The Richmond Hill explosion. A couple attempted to blow up her home for $200,000 homeowners insurance $, and ended up killing a young couple and destroyed 30+ homes. The explosion was Nov 12, and the perps were arrested Dec. 26 - Monserrate Shirley and Mark Leonard.

Is DB more likely to make a mistake when

Davey Blackburn is a great orator. He is well-rehearsed. For those that are believers of the Word, false teachers/prophets are often/will be great orators. They are full of charisma, which makes it easier to deceive the flock. How will we know that one is a false teacher or false prophet? By their FRUIT!

Like many, we see these individuals and scripture refers to them as "wolves in sheep's clothing." I am not condemning Davey, but I definitely hold doubt. We must be on alert of the fruit. Bad seeds reap bad fruit, good seeds reap good fruit.

"False teacher - Does this teacher exhibit character qualities that glorify the Lord? Speaking of false teachers, Jude 11 says, “They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.” In other words, a false teacher can be known by his pride (Cain’s rejection of God’s plan), greed (Balaam’s prophesying for money), and rebellion (Korah’s promotion of himself over Moses). Jesus said to beware of such people and that we would know them by their fruits (Matthew 7:15-20)."

It is my belief, that true believers of Christ, flow and allow the Spirit of God to flow freely from their hearts, without being so rehearsed.

Davey repeats similar words, themes, and concepts as if to convince himself and his audience that he isn't at fault or to justify his choices (whatever they are or have been). Speaking too much, (I often do this myself when I'm nervous or in the presence of someone who causes my spirit to be unsettled), is a quality I see in DB. His need for repetition may reveal an insecurity, to drive a point either to himself or to convince others.

As Peter and others have alluded to, if Davey is not guilt of this tragedy, his words certainly seem to make him guilty or suspicious of something. He certainly is handling this tragedy in ways in which many find demeaning to the life and memory of his wife.

Initially, I was astounded by the strength of this man, then with every interview, it's as if a deep unsettling grew. I have yet to find a peace and I have prayed for peace over this tragedy. For believers, "peace," is often how the Lord speaks. Isaiah 26:3.

Even if Davey Blackburn is not guilty, the way in which he chooses to minister and give his sermons is inappropriate and unnecessary to glorify God, edify, and grow the body of Christ. For God to truly be shown, He is shown in love. I don't find Davey's messages ones of love, but rather an opportunity to make himself the focus. One man does not and never will show the heart of ALL believers. May light and truth be shed, and true revelation, which only comes of God. False teachers are perhaps one of the scariest threats, revealed in the Word.

I am grateful for the careful examination of Peter. One needs to remain as objective as possible and examine what has been shared thus far. Prayerfully as time passes, more knowledge will exposed. I'm grateful to know I'm not the only one who continues to ponder this tragedy.

M - yeah your Law Enforcement has too many layers.

Here, we just have two.

State Police handle everything criminal.

Federal Police are like CIA and handle mainly terrorism and and white collar or international/complex type crimes - they would rarely get involved in a murder. They weren't involved in Milat for instance, as those all occurred in NSW so were under NSW Police.

For ordinary criminals who shoot their wives (no matter how complex the coverup) it will be whatever local state police force that crime occurred in.

Who are hired not elected...and they are hired internally - a politician cant make his best bud Chief Superintendant, they have to be career police.

Sort of like the army.

I think he killed her.

I think he told the other ones that he was committing insurance fraud and could they come by and steal some things but first go in the house where the woman isn't home, here's her code, then come to my house and steal the things I leave for you and take the debit card and go use it for payment. I'll leave them in the kitchen on the table. Come in the front door.

So then he kills her and stages a rape//murder and they get there expecting a bag of stuff in kitchen and get outta there.

Can anyone shape that up into what could have happened?

As soon as you see a murder hit national TV, there will be a federal agent already dispatched there in consultation role, in the minimum.
This is added to state, county and even local. Some work better with others, while some will argue jurisdiction.

The national news can quickly change the complexion of a case. The "state line" rule of yesterday is...yesteryear's.

To the anon that said the connection to Davey will take months, maybe years, I agree. I don't think anyone will a point a finger at Davey until the defense attorneys do. Law School 101-create doubt. It doesn't even have to be reasonable doubt these days(Casey Anthony). Having worked with attorneys doing expert witness testimony and preparing exhibits it has been my experience that because of their case loads the heavy lifting is done at the 11th hour before the trial. The defense attorneys are public defenders so they will have huge case loads. They aren't even going to have to connect any dots in this case, there is so much out there if they are paying any attention at all. Then the next step would have to be for the DA/prosecutor to act on the fingers being pointed at Davey. That is a leap. As Peter has pointed out, at that point it is going to be a cold case. LE isn't going to jump right in and admit they made mistakes. I am still hoping but not holding my breath that Davey will be charged. No doubt there are some in LE who see what we are seeing but I expect they aren't going to be given the responsibility or authority to follow up. It is a nice little solution all wrapped up in bow-gang members arrested, evidence against them. Again, I hope I am wrong.

Who will the defense attorneys be? Larry Taylor is not OJ. He's not Oscar Pistorius. Unless something changes, he won't have a legal defense team. He'll have an overworked, under-staffed, under-funded public defender.

How much that comes up here will come up at his trial? HOw much will be admissable?

I like your suggestion that he might have given them the neighbor's security code. But did he know it? For the rest ...

If they went in there expecting a bag of loot and a bank or credit card on the counter, why would they stay once they laid eyes on Amanda? Why not grab the loot and the card and run, or just run, figuring they'd been framed?

If they opened the front door and saw Amanda lying on the floor, no way would they have left Larry Taylor to stand guard over her then come back to pick him up.

Larry Taylor, last year, was part of the break-in that was interrupted when a student home from school came out of a hiding place and confronted them. They wiped off their finger prints and put everything back, he said. Sorry to disturb you, kid, we're outta here.

Private surveillance video of a residential street view seems odd. Also according to the Affidavit there is another video that shows only 2 people in the car. This must be a clearer image because it's reported to be Taylor in passenger's seat of stolen car.

Doesn't videotaping footage from a surveillance camera require an elaborate/costly system and is usually just used for public/commercial applications?

Even if technolgy has advanced and it is used for residential surveillance, is it odd to have cameras on streetview?

Does anyone know which resident/s had the video footage?

Did the watchman report that he personally witnessed any suspicious activity? Did he have the footage or direct IMPD to whom ever did?

Is the watchmen's house close to blackburns?

Why wasn't all of the Sebring's activity seen abd time stamped like the black SUV?

The suspect was seen getting into Sebring and leaving why was this car never reported to the public?

Did the suspects somehow know that there was videotape showing only two people in the car so they invented the story about Gordon getting out at the entrance?

The perp who is unnamed is talking. Perp 3.

This perp says that Taylor admitted shooting Amanda as she charged him. He shot her in the torso first the head second.

If DB had've wanted to torture Amanda he would've taken out her knees or fingers first.

Or used a knife - more personal.

As it is here's what we've got:

The perps drive in the suv to Amanda's just before the shots were heard at (new earlier time) 6.25

According to confession, ONLY TAYLOR WENT IN

Amanda charged him and he shot her

then all the perps entered, nosied around for her bankcards

While someone, allegedly Taylor, stays in the house alone for half an hour doing...what, watching tv? and Amanda lies deadish on the floor

The perps who were driving hit 2 banks and were on cells to Amanda's address the whole time - why, if she's dying on the floor?

then they CAME BACK at 7.10 and Taylor walked to be picked up, with empty hands. Burgled nothing. The stills we saw were of him leaving the Blackburn address, not arriving - Leaving empty handed.

Does this sound like a burglary, or does this sound like a hit with a side bonus of cash from the ATM?

It's clear Amanda was shot in surprise. She pretty much died straight away - so why hang around when she's breathing her last on the floor? Then take a bunch of calls, leave empty handed?

According to Taylor's own confession (albeit 2nd hand) Amanda saw him, charged him, he panicked and shot her.

He then finished her, or at least thought he'd finished her, with a head shot.

Then he inexplicably sat in that house for 40 minutes while the others went and cleaned out the ATMs

Then left on foot when they came back to pick him up

Why was he left in that house? Why didn't they all just leave? Why hang around for that long? Was he waiting to make sure she'd died?

Possible Scenario Alert!! I can't stop trying to figure this out.

Wondering this evening (and some of you may have commented on this) if Amanda had a confrontation with Davey that morning concerning his morning activities. Maybe she guessed or actually knew he met someone (male or female) at the gym or before/after his workout. Maybe she told him she and Weston would be gone when he got back. He knew his "kingdom" would be done-for, he flew into a rage and shot her. She was trying to get away, hence the multiple shots and not just the one for the kill.

Stay with me here...so now he's shot her and it's still early. He would most likely have a second cell phone (for contacting the lover?) so he used that to phone his friend, Alonzo/Treezy/insert-another-gangbanger, and arranged for them to come and rob the neighbor. They were told to wait until he left to come in the unlocked front door and take the debit card for which he provided the PIN. I believe Davey took the 2nd cell phone, the MAC and whatever books he wanted to hide and threw them in a dumpster maybe while he was talking to Kenneth?

However it went down, it's obvious Davey sat on the driveway until the neighbor lady got home from work and called 911. All morning he made sure he had alibis...on camera at the gym and on the phone every minute doing life with Kenneth who was told by Davey to put this fact on Twitter which he had never done before.

Maybe he just got lucky that the neighbor who heard the gunshots/scream was off on the time. I think that happens often.

I bet Davey is spending lots of time in the shower every day since he's probably sweating a lot, wondering when LE will come knocking to hall him in.

All else apart I'm stumped by this supposed confession, since it came second hand (or third hand). Not from Larry Taylor but from someone else, who gains by blaming the killing on Taylor. It's not a confession it's hearsay. Prosecution needs more than hearsay from another gangster.

With regards to the perp watching her bleed at the end, that's just strange, isn't it? If this guy had a pattern or history of Charles Manson-like behavior, it would be more believable. The whole statement seems quite believable if it's coming out of Davey's mouth. His fascination with death, that men were called to DIE, his fascination with sex, all this wouldn't surprise me in the least if he were found to be the one who, at the very least, was guilty of sexual assault.

One to the heart one to the head

Juliet said...

Anon at 6.29- I think Davey has quite a dark side - leading up to Amanda's murder was the 'creepy' (as described by the second speaker) series of talks called 'Strings' - they were meant to be creepy', to happen round and to tie-in with Hallowe'en. I wondered if 'Strings' was coined by puppet master Davey, who found himself to be artfully pulling people's strings, controlling events - fanciful, perhaps, and there may be other connotations - the Resonate website does not explain why the series is called 'Strings'. The talks were: 'Would you Rather?', 'Head and Heart', 'Worship as a Weapon' - followed by the murder of Amanda. Was that left slanting journal note a 'Would you rather?', perhaps? The reason he shows Amanda's journal, I am sure, is to distract from the existence of her real diary, in which she complained about Davey to God, asking God 'to fix' this or that fault in Davey. He read the diary regularly, against her wishes. He says Amanda did not want her personal life on display, ever - he disregards that wish in death, as in life - except for the real diary, which has probably been destroyed and which no-one will ever see. Amanda knew too much about Davey, and she didn't like it - but we already knew this from the Q&A videos.

I think the coincidences are too numerous to have not been orchestrated. The talks foreshadowing Amanda's (sexual assault? and) death seem an attempt at 'Davey spoke, and his words were fulfilled' ; also, to be hidden in plain sight and, if she was present during the talks, to also terrorise Amanda. One wonders at the Resonate audience, if none heard any alarm bells ringing for Amanda when Davey spoke, if any now feel burdened with doubt or regret that all that was let to pass without challenge on numerous occasions -it was so deeply unpleasant yet seemingly accepted. Just start the hypnotic music, draw people into the 'vibe'' and everything seems okay, even when it so obviously is not. A young, unquestioning audience, perhaps - but what of his worship leader, the other colleagues we see in the videos? - I wonder why none felt any responsibility towards Amanda, why Davey's attitude and behaviour went unchallenged, and how that gun prop ever made it onto the stage. Did none call Perry Noble to voice concerns about Crazy Davey's antics? So many questions, so many witless yes-men in Davey and Amanda's circle, so sad none of them appear to have looked out much for Amanda.

Pak31 - twelve weeks is too early. Davey wrote on his website that Amanda and their unborn daughter Everett 'Evie' Grace had died - later in an interview he admitted that they did not know the sex of the baby, but both believed it was a girl. He wanted a girl, so long as she wasn't going to be full of drama - girls, according to Davey, are all drama like his little nieces - he didn't seem to approve of girls being all-drama - he was of the opinion that Amanda would have raised Evie to not be a drama queen, more or less. The idea of Evie - girl - drama - seemed intolerable to him, yet they did not know it was a girl. Seems he was not too enamoured with even the prospect of a girl, despite first saying he had wanted a boy and a girl.

This is an example of his improvised story-telling. He's good at theatrical improv (and at cabaret). "He was of the opinion that Amanda would have raised Evie to not be a drama queen" in other circumstances would be funny, because HE is a drama queen. He was the drama queen in the marriage and on stage at the church. He spins this stuff out of his ears and nostrils.

People, people, people. Up until now, I'd had very high opinions of everyone's intellect. Don't disappoint me!!!
That journal is not AB's journal! It was a page. By the way, I may have mentioned that I am Christian and evangelical church-attending (and homo, yes, now I'm homo Mark B. We'll let it be).

@ Anonymous @ 3:30AM. Are you a man? I also spotted that same fellow while browsing PN's feed, and I said 'This guy is in the closet.' To the person who suggested that men are better able to spot gay men than women are, I say: THAT is the only thing men do better than Women.

Points on Journals, Christianity, Trust, Widowhood:

* People at church are ALWAYS taking notes during sermons.
- They use a smartphone
- They write in a journal (a book with empty pages).

NOONE who is a Christian evangelical is writing messages about God on loose papers.
- You want to keep all your thoughts together
- Like every journal, you want to revisit prior thoughts to see how God helped you weather the storm in the past.

As someone who was a Church-Planter, as AB and DB were, they undoubtedly had access to notebooks which they use and probably distribute to new members.

ASK DB right now? Show me your Journal. He will bring out a tattered, bound JOURNAL, not a set of immaculate loose sheets.

Conclusion: That 'journal' entry was written by DB or one of his conspirators to pass as AB's journal entry.

OTHER point
- AB's family does not strike me as the smartest lot
I don't say this to be disrespectful. I am a country boy living in the big city. My family, my community may be BOOK-smart, but they sure as hell ain't STREET-smart. I don't think AB's family has the cunning in their hearts to see DB and know 'This guy is rotten to the core.'

Someone commented that:
- AB's mother would have recognized her daughter's handwriting.
- AB's Dad would have felt insulted by DB calling his parish dry bones.
They DON'T respond the way we expect them to, because these are simple, kind, trusting Christians.

(By the way, DB's language -- even for an evangelical pastor -- is death-suffused. Who calls a parish 'dry bones?' All the pastors I know talk about rising, rebirth. If they talk about death, they say that our Savior Jesus died for us. But NEVER would they refer to parishioners ,sinners, as 'dead.' The language of death is so precisely used. It chills me how DB has it on his tongue so often.)

LAST POINT (and this makes me the angriest)
- AB most likely knew that DB was cheating / gay / stealing church money, something.
But you know what? Look at her eyes. Look at her face:
This is a woman who would have done EVERYTHING not to disgrace her husband and her church.
I can bet my 'dry bones' that she would never have 'snitched' on DB, not even to her own sister.
But she paid the price just for knowing DB's transgressions.

LAST LAST POINT
DB needs Weston alive. Why?
- Having Weston, the child alive, builds more sympathy for DB.
You may think, "No, it's sadder for a man to lose his wife AND his baby."
No, it's sadder for a man to lose JUST his wife because now there is this poor baby with no mother. Which means that POOR DB would need to remarry NOW. And, well, lookie here, I know just the person! Boom.

- As cruel as I think DB is, I think, he actually likes Weston and wanted him spared. But yes, having a son alive, a young son, increases the urgency for this "man of God" to find a woman of God quick.

POOR AB. The things she has and would have suffered in silence. As a Christian, I pray that we not all be so blinded by religion that we can't see through to the madness of men. There are good folks out there, don't get me wrong, but there are also wolves in muscle-caressing, nipple-showing, pecs-revealing sheep's clothing.

If you go to google maps and hit the street view on the Blackburn home, (as I'm sure most of you have already done), you can cruise up and down that street and see nicer homes, easier access, easier get away. It's difficult to conceive someone would go that far down a street, on a cul de sac and hit the end home, which is very modest. It makes absolutely no sense. Unless, it was deliberate. That is when it makes sense.

said "The confession I read said she charged him and he shot her."

First off, re the mouth injury, it's in the Probable Cause doc:
"Watson said there was a woman inside and Taylor busted her in the mouth with his gun."

Secondly: there is no confession. A "cooperating individual," said, said, and said. This CI blames everything on Larry Taylor, the weakest link, the patsy. The so-called confession is an accusation blaming everything on Larry Taylor.

The CI said: Larry Taylor carried the gun {previously said to belong to another guy who stored it under his bed)
Larry Taylor was "possibly" wearing the "Pelle-Pelle jacket" [which belonged to Alonzo and which previously is said another guy often borrowed]
Larry Taylor "climbed up the back railing" because the others wanted money
Larry Taylor "opened the front door" for G and W
Larry Taylor "had a set of keys in his hands"
Larry Taylor "worked the key fab" and opened the silver Sebring
Larry Taylor "took an iPhone"
Larry Taylor "wanted to kill the occupant"
W and G (good Samaritans - but note, they wanted money) "convinced him to leave"
And so it continues:
Larry Taylor tore the patio screen and unlocked the deadbolt
Larry Taylor walked to 2812 (although the others again decided "they wanted more money)
Larry Taylor opened the unlocked front door
"Watson said Taylor busted her in the mouth with his gun."
"Taylor threatened to kill the woman if they left him"
"Taylor took the stolen property from the car"
"Larry Taylor told [redacted] he killed the woman."

None of this is a confession by Larry Taylor. It's an accusation blaming Larry Taylor.

Compare Amish response to murder of their children in school. And forgiveness following killing of 9 people in church Charleston, S. Carolina. Doesn't mean people don't grieve and mourn. Amanda's parents' faces show they have been weeping a lot.

I haven't decided if you just get a rise out of inspiring reactions from Christians (American Christians in particular), or if you really realize you don't know that of which you speak
which appears to be so in your statement: "But what do I know..."

It becomes more and more obvious to me that
your motive is to entertain and disdain an entire group of people with a broad stroke
rather than try to understand how this abomination which is Davey Blackburn can happen.

But you have a right to speak here.

Confused said...

If you guys want to get Davey convicted for this crime, you have to figure out how to prove she was in some kind of distress or injured before the 3 robbers showed up.

The Ramsey case involved many handwriting experts who were able to at least sway public opinion that Patsy did it due to the fact the ransom note was written in her handwriting.

Someone needs to consult a handwriting expert to look at the change between Amanda's straight up and down handwriting and the dramatic left slant handwriting done the night before the shooting. I see on the internet there are experts on how injury effects handwriting. One of them had a writing sample up done by someone who had become paralyzed from the waist down and it caused the exact same left slanting handwriting as Amanda's final entry.

I believe Amanda may have had her legs tied so she couldn't run away while writing the final entry.

How much blood was found at the crime scene?
He reported to 911 she was "wounded" but am I correct to say that a gunshot to the head would produce profuse bleeding?
Is there any possibility she had been shot hours before and he had, for some reason, cleaned up some of the blood?

The only way they will arrest him for the crime is if, somehow, the evidence we already have in front of us can push the time of death up earlier than they are saying, before the robbers.

The difference between me and your Average Christian is

1. I don't expect anyone else to worship my shoes
2. I don't get offended when folk poke fun at my worship of my shoes
3. I realize shoes are a ridiculous thing to worship, to other people, and I'm cool with that
4. I don't think im somehow a superior human being because I have a lot of shoes
5. I don't think I BECOME a shoe when I stand in the wardrobe

Is it possible that he did not go back into the house before calling 911?

Sat in the driveway, ended the call with his buddy, waited couple of minutes to get in the mood, get voice right, called 911 - then either went into the house or stood by the open front door waiting?

So, he didn't see a pool of blood around her head? Didn't describe it in the 911 call?

On the pool of blood and when DB saw it.

""Blackburn stated that he remained on the phone on the way home and was still on the phone when he arrived home at approximately 7:30 a.m. He stayed on the phone in his driveway until he entered (house) around 8:20 a.m.," the statement continued."

This corroborates that DB entered the house before phoning 911. But Wagner could not have known that. He says so himselfg:

"Tuesday I was sitting at lunch and I received a call that rocked my world forever. ....Davey had gotten off the phone with me, finished our conversation and walked in and found Amanda," said Wagner.

Wagner could not have known whether or not Davey "walked in," entered the house and saw Amanda before calling 911. He assumed it, filled a gap in his own knowledge with what he expected must have happened.

When Davey called 911 he said his wife was wounded. The Affadavit does not say he told 911 she was lying in a pool of blood.

What, then, if he shot her before leaving for the gym - and no blood spurted out. After he left, she lay there, blood seeping out slowly. Unknown to him, by 8:30 am a quantity of her blood was on the floor.

Amanda was still alive, her heart was still pumping. So dome of this blood would be fairly freshly spilled, as it were. Would this mess up the time of death estimate?

Amanda was unconcious, but did she ever gain consciousness? Did Davey drive along in the ambulance? How long did it take from the time medics got there, to the time medics called law enforcement? And from there, how long did it take law enforcement to get to the Blackburn home? Because the neighbor called 911 as well, so cops should have been there quickly and yet, Davey was able to make it to the hospital without first being questioned. That sneaky Davey. He knew damn well how to run this show and orchestrate all hands on deck by surrounding himself with friends and family when law enforcement finally caught up with him. I've read the Probable Cause pretty carefully. It says at 8.22 DB called 911 to report he found his wife "injured and unconscious" on the floor. This might suggest to 911 that she had suffered a "trip and fall" accident, very common.

Nothing about bleeding, blood on the floor, or a wound. Assuming he could not see an entry wound, he should have been able to see blood.

In gunshot wound to the head, blood loss is a prime cause of death.

DB next statement was made at the hospital, after 9.00 Am. By then EMS and the police knew Amanda had suffered "severe head trauma." She "actually was shot in the head and not expected to survive her injuries." The picture of the injury has changed radically.

At this time, the detective's account of of what DB saw changes too.
"DB entered his house through the front door and found AB face down in blood on the living room floor."

So I'm focusing for a moment on this one discrepancy, lack of blood in the detective's account of DB's 911 call.

I'll set aside notion that he shot Amanda himself. Hypothesize, the shooting was a hit. He expected it be over by the time he returned from the gym. Perhaps he received confirmation of that via a burner phone.

Not eager to see the result, he called 911 before entering the house, describing his wife as "injured and unconscious."

Once he knew 911 was on the way, he waited by the open door or just inside.
I offer this as a sort of coward's scenario.

If/when the 911 call is released, all such speculation may be proven wrong.

I am a Christian and grew up in a similar world as AB and I think a picture of her that is being painted is not exactly accurate. You have to understand that for young Christian women there is a certain "life script" that is considered ideal. You marry someone Christian and good-looking, has a good job, can support you where you can have the cute house, cute kids, and full Pinterest board. You post pics on Instagram showing your stylish clothes, homemade baby food, and outings with friends (check out her Instagram). You like people to look up to you as a pastor's wife and style-mentor. In that world Amanda would have NEVER sought a divorce as she would have lost everything. She didn't even have an education to fall back on. I know a few "Amandas" and they will put up with a lot but never entertain the idea of divorce.

In looking at Davey's church affairs as in a business value or resell perspective there isn't anything to analyze there. Say, if I were going to put his business on the market there wouldn't be anything to sell. Nada. There is no real estate, he rents from a school facility which allows him limited time and use and no office space, which would include utilities (no taxes) and parking lot maintenance, making it a triple net lease, probably with no percentage or inflationary renewals since the space he rents is owned by a school district and would contain no sublease agreement, therefore his lease is not a money maker. Nothing there to sell.

He has a small audience/membership of an estimated 100-125 members, none of which are under contract to pay weekly or monthly membership fees or dues (tithes and offerings)and can by no means be considered as potential income as one might be if they were under rental income lease (called the rent roll). It is a known fact that when families start having financial troubles or a tight budget, the first thing off the top that has to go is their medical bills and tithes & offerings to the church. His membership income is not fixed or dependable.

He does not have a history of longevity either in that area or anywhere else proving his business is income producing or will be, which it isn't. He cannot be showing other income since he has no other income. He cannot borrow money on his business, nor can he sell it, there is no fixed income that would justify even a small loan. He shows up once or twice a week for services where he collects small pittances from whoever shows up? His little membership isn't even large enough to keep him busy visiting the sick, performing weddings or funerals; so what is he doing with his spare (all of it!) time, while he and his church business is insolvent?

The point I am coming to is this: Why does Davey Blackburn run around calling himself a "Lead Pastor"? What and who exactly is he leading? There are no other pastors, youth or otherwise, or paid employees under his direction that we've heard of, or any other persons he is supervising. Lead Pastor of WHAT? WHO?

Davey Blackburn does not have any other employment. And why doesn't he? Good heavens, the man is flat ass broke. I have NEVER known of any other small time little preaching business where the pastor did not have other employment that sustained his family and helped to get his church off the ground, but Davey doesn't? He is living in a dream world of imaginary grandeur, working at not working, unable to sustain even himself and his little family.

No wonder poor Amanda was refinishing furniture trying to make a few bucks to purchase necessities for the baby and produce their little videos for sale to their limited membership! It must have been one hell uv a scramble to pay for their trips and keep up with their charge cards, plus mortgage payments, car payments, and what else? Yes, it can come down to these very dry and bare bones. Meanwhile, Davey isn't doing one damned thing to increase his families' meager income while he has only one year left to prove himself and his little 'plant' church to the big boss, preacher Nobel. LOOSER! ABB

One point against Taylor in the probable cause doc was they gave a picture of Taylor with a gun. The type of gun that was used. A Luger if I remember correctly.

I really think Sleuthy provided some interesting information earlier this morning that should be investigated. Kevin Baker, friends with both Donae and Alonzo had some strange posts right around the time of Amanda's murder - about snitching and a gun for sale.

He is friends with someone named Shelby BLACKBURN who lives in Kokomo, Indiana. In an earlier post, he mentions that he had to go to court in Kokomo because of some trouble he had there. Can some of you other FB sleuths explore this connection more?
Shelby is also friends with Donae and Alonzo.

I agree, follow the gun. The CI said Larry Taylor was carrying a snub nosed .38 revolver. The female (redacted, Alonzo's friend?) showed the detective a 9mm pistol. which, she said, either Walker or Gordon left in her room. The bullets recovered were "38/9mm." There also the gun found on a lawn.

Sus said...

Thanks Rosy,
A revolver. I couldn't remember. That pistol that was handed off by the female (surely Donae) can't be the murder weapon.

Sus said...

Sorry, I should have said it probably isn't, not that it can't be. A revolver would be more likely. A pistol would leave shells laying around. I suppose Taylor could have picked them up. I just don't find that likely when he left swisher sweets on the counter and supposedly was "messed up."

As my impatience to see Davey arrested grows, I have to look at Mark Seviers whom we all knew had something to do with his wife's murder by hammer.
It has taken since June to reach the point where a Probable Cause affidavit has been filed against the guys who did it.
It spells out how he hired them, even down to the burner phones he and his friend used.
Yet Mark has not been arrested YET. Key word -YET.

"Asked by reporters why Sievers has not been arrested, Sheriff Mike Scott said they are still working the case to make sure they 'have it right.'"

I picture Indy LE doing just that...getting it right.

Anon @12:09 am, you are not entirely right. Partially, but not entirely. You did say the young Christian wife so in that part you may be correct. However, I have watched numerous television evangelists over the last past twenty-five years or so, some well known and some never heard of. It is not uncommon at all to be familiar with a minister/pastor who has a certain wife by his side, all seemingly well and happy; then a coupla years later, low and behold there is a NEW wife with a different name by his side. Oh yeah, they DO get divorces.

As for Amanda, I believe with all my heart that in time she would have left Davey. She only needed a place to go and an income to sustain her and little Weston, plus the new little one. It was going to take her some time and financial finagling since Davey had nothing, essentially, not even an income to speak of; but Davey was meaner than cat-shyt to her (AND to Weston), he was publically humiliating and killing her soul and she would have had no choice for the sake of her sanity (and as it turns out, HER LIFE and that of the little one coming that he did not want), other than to leave him.

She was just at a point where she did not know which way to turn, and trying hard to hang on, but she was a strong woman, strong in her faith and leaning on the everlasting arms of Jesus and she WOULD have made it. Jesus does not expect us, OR WANT US, to have to live at the mercy of satan and his demons, and he WOULD have led Amanda out of her hell marriage. I have no doubt about this. ABB

I do not recall seeing a single photograph of Amanda during her pregnancy. Does that strike anyone else as odd? It was her first baby/pregnancy and I was expecting to see at least a couple profile pix cradling her growing baby bump. Maybe Davey did not like how she looked when she was carrying his child? I don't know why this just popped into my head, and I apologize if I have missed something, but I had to ask. I can't stop thinking about Amanda and wishing there was a way to turn back time and save her.

Summer, I don't think I've even seen photos of Amanda from her baby shower. Has anyone?

Did Amanda not have a car?
I haven't heard it mentioned that one was on the drive and
the garage was taken over by her furniture refinishing business.

So she was totally there at home all the time until he showed up and let her leave with the car? Incredible!

@ 1:18 AM

You're right, ABB, it was a shell game. In 2012 he started with Perry Noble's $100,000. Deduct the rent for the auditorium and all the other costs you list. How fast was his burn rate? How was he paying for the gym, his clothes, baby's clothes, Starbucks, iPhone.... Did he have other sources of income?

In the LILO video Oct 1 2015 he claimed 145 members. Later he said 125. PN at Celebration of Life spoke of about 120. In the LILO video he projected a thousand, soon. Is this why his performances became increasingly sensational? Hoping to create a buzz (may have turned some members off!).

“If we’re running a thousand people, as a church, which I believe is sooner rather than later, we are sitting there with 2 services at that facility with a potential of looking at a third, and at a thousand people, from a tithes and offering standpoint, statistically you would bring in $25 per person. Which means we would be bringing in in tithes and offerings a hundred thousand dollars a month. Now, the most we will ever pay out in rent at Northview is going to be $6000 - $7000 a month. So that means you got ninety four thousand dollars, of ministry money...."

In the video mentioning life insurance, did he really say, on Amanda's life? I heard it as on his own life.

Were the credit cards left scattered on the floor maxed out?

Could Amanda return home though? Was Dad saying she really should submit? Was Mom saying her duty is to her husband? Amber is married to one of Davey's best friends. I believe he is the other one who stood up in church to receive the prayer for strength to pass out bibles. (Insert eye roll here). Amber and Amanda had a double wedding.

All this is to say, I'm not sold that Amanda had a safe place to escape to. She didn't seem to have much of a choice in anything, nor was she ever the star of her own show. Not sure how they did it, but all three siblings graduated from college on the same day as well.

Rosy, I have no idea if their credit cards were maxed out, I am assuming they WERE since the thieves only took their one debit card (if this info is true); assuming they had already been told there was no credit left on the charge cards, and that only one of the debit cards had a small withdrawal balance on it.

They either assumed or were told to go to this one ATM since it would have been at the one branch location where Davey had this account, near his gym location and about 20 minutes from their home, being less likely (they thought) to be rejected or delayed at that particular location, and THIS would be the reason they drove all the way out to that location, bypassing many other ATMs along the way.

As I understand it, this ATM cash withdrawal balance was only $400, which is why they were able to get the $400 and not the first request for $500 which was rejected. This could have been either because there wasn't enough available funds in the account to cover the $500, or because a cap of $400 for cash withdrawal was set on the account by the bank.

I know for a fact this happens as I used to have an unended ATM withdrawal amount set on my ATM debit card, up to the cash balance amount that was actually in the account, but when my son had to do a job out in Las Vegas and needed to take my ATM card, 'just in case', I let him do it, but I also called my back and asked the branch manager to put a cap on my debit card, which she did, down to $400 max over a certain period of time, which she explained to me was their cap. I don't know how this works at other banks but this was their rule of thumb at my bank.

Also, I don't know if Amanda had a car at her disposal. I do know that I read where she said she had to get Davey to go help her pick up pieces of furniture that she could not lift by herself. That must have really grossed him out and ticked him off real good, with his lily white manicured, working hard at not working, hands. ABB

Rosy, I do not believe for one minute that Davy was paying anywhere NEAR $6,000 to $7,000 MONTHLY rent to the school district for use of their auditorium once or twice a week! This is bull hockey. I'm not familiar with their market but there ain't NO WAY, not when one can sublet space in a strip center for WAY less.

Besides it wouldn't have been $ 6T to $7T anyhow, and certainly not monthly, maybe annually would be more like it. BUT then, since they were not operating on an income percentage basis, the rent owed would have been FIXED and not floating. Whatever the true amount was it was fixed and not one or the other. After all, this was not a Burger King who pays rent on a land based fixed amount plus an override percentage based on their (proof!) of gross sales. ABB

Davey also did a great deal of traveling, which I'm sure racked up the credit card bills.

Remember that this type "church" required video and audio equipment to wow the audience.
It looks like they also have a light show.
I don't think a strip center would have worked for Magic Dave.

Looking at the Resonate website, I see they don't even mention the number of members/owners they have now.
they only speak of the fact that Davey worked at PN's "church" which has 3000 members.
I'm betting that 120 (and falling) number Davey speaks of includes every last baby and child.
It would be interesting to discover how many individual families are part of Resonate and/or how many are students.

Thinking tonight about Davey's mindset, I think I'll look into Amber's family's situation, wondering if Davey wouldn't be comparing himself to his good friend/brother-in-law, Gavin Wilkinson.

Rosy @2:30; you said, quote: "Is this a helpful way to look at it?" "Nothing led Amanda out of the hell of her last hour on earth."

YES MA'AM it did! There IS no other helpful waya to look at it. Do you understand, there is a spiritual battle for our souls on this earth. Satan is the prince of the air. He and his demons are here to rob, steal, kill and destroy. He is trying to run and destroy ALL our lives. MANY perish at the hands of murderers and thugs, illnesses and in accidents, all set in motion by satan. Who do you think is responsible for all this? It certainly isn't God or Jesus. IT is the hand of JESUS who sends to us to rescue our soul to be with him eternally.

We cannot question this, we have to accept it. How do you think you will make it out of here at the last moment of your death; that which comes to ALL of us? If there was no hand to rescue our soul, where would we be? Think about it Rosy.

How do you think I have been able to accept my beautiful son's death just last Sept 20, 2014? ONLY by knowing that he was a born again Christian when he was a young man and sealed by the holy spirit, even though he had drifted away and blasphemed in nearly every way imaginable; there was STILL the unseen hand who reached down and rescued his soul in the moment of his death. Our body does not live forever, we ALL die, but THIS knowledge is all I have to console me Rosy. ABB

Anon @2:08 and Kate; Amanda's parents and siblings wouldn't have had the slightest idea how she was really living with dirty dog Davey. He would have been putting on one hell uv a dog and pony show in their presence. If they'd had even an inkling of what Amanda's life was really like, her sister wouldn't have been dancing around, laughing and joking with Davey as they stood by in her room waiting for her to die as she lingered unconscious and on life support.

I don't think they really have any idea now either. I think it's going to take some serious time for them to even start to consider what kind of man Davey Blackburn really was, and is. I think it's going to come as a real shock to them. If they were reading here, they might start to pick up some hints but it seems pretty obvious to me that they aren't.

And you're right Kate, even had they had some tiny little doubt that all was not as it should have been with Davey boy, they may have been turning a blind eye, thinking this is nothing, Amanda will just have to try a little harder, making it all appear to be HER fault. Truly, Amanda had nowhere to turn and no one to turn too. This poor and defeated girl was living in a pitiful and very difficult situation either to live in or try to get out of. Anon @2:52, it would have been just as easy (or hard) for Davey and his little crew to set up their show with sound and lighting at a strip center space as it would have been inside a school auditorium, maybe easier. I've been to several services at different strip center locations and they don't have a problem with getting set up or the break-down at all.

They usually share or rent space from an office or sales seminar location in strip centers or lower location office buildings, sometimes even off hotel/motel lobby locations where meetings are frequently held for out of town business seminars, etc. I've even known them to share a side unused room location with other church denominations. Believe me, he was NOT paying any $6T to 7T monthly just for the convenience of a school auditorium, as if he couldn't do any better than this.

This amount would be max or more had he gone out and rented his own space lock stock and barrel from a strip center or an individual building. THAT's a lotta rent for a small time church business to pay; bottom line, they simply cannot do it. Heavens, they can go out and purchase, or rent to purchase a small house and convert it to a church building a lot cheaper than THAT! ABB

Kate @3:11, I think Davey boy is going to be in for one hell uv a shock when he finds himself having to look for a paying job! Ha.... what the hell does HE know other than misquoting and twisting scripture, defiling the Holy Word of God. He just might find himself having to get a job at some unheard of low-paying gym.

He insults Amanda for not being well traveled, or well read, or well educated with her little bitty degree from some small time Christian college over in Jacksonville; but, just what the hell kind of degree does HE have from Liberty College under Falwell's direction? It's a pretty well known fact that Falwell robbed and scammed off Tammy Fayes talents and hard work, AND bragged about it, so he didn't maintain such a good reputation in religious circles either. Tammy Faye was very talented and redeemed her reputation before she left this earth, but did Jerry? I would say that's highly debatable.

As for Amanda, she learned a lot more in her religious college than just studying the Bible. To be accredited, there are mandatory courses they are required to teach, so Amanda had a lot more education than dirty dog Dave gives to her. ABB

Rosy, your post @3:12, I didn't tell you this about my son to make you feel bad; it was just that I felt I needed to defend your comment about Jesus not having led Amanda out of her horrible death, when I know He did. You know, I am a little appalled that they had to have a prayer of strength to gain the courage to give out some Bibles. Good Lord, there isn't anything to it. I left one once anonymously at night in the mailbox of an insane woman who had threatened to shoot me just because I accidentally rang the wrong doorbell... hers, if I wasn't off her porch in five minutes. Later, I thought I'd better get some help to her before she wound up shooting herself or someone else. She was totally a goner, devil possessed. I never contacted her, just left the Bible.

I used to see Bible tracts being given out in public places all the time. What's to pray about? All they need to do is reach out and stick one in someone's hand, anywhere, anytime. I don't think they will spit in your eye or shoot you in the head, might say no thank you? And you move on. Or leave one in a ladies room, or men's room, or on a park bench or in walk thrus in shopping malls. Many places.

God will direct someone to pick it up, for heaven's sakes. OR you can sit down and watch to see if it gets pitched in a trash can, if so, get it out and move on. Jehovah's Witnesses don't seem to get all bent out of shape when they go door knocking, just rejected a lot. Personally, they don't bother me, I like and rather enjoy talking to them.

What's the big deal, I'm not seeing it. ABB

On a final note Rosy; I would like to say that I just hate it, hate it, HATE IT when I hear a minister or anyone else say "it was God's will." "Or God allowed it to happen." Oh hell no it wasn't and He didn't. There is a VERY powerful one down here and his name is satan. God takes no part in his works or wills it.

It was NEVER God's will that we suffer, that we get sick, that we get butchered or shot or that we die a lingering and painful death. OR that fifty little babies were beaten and raped this very night, some violently killed. NOT EVER. Does anyone actually BELIEVE that God willed this, or allowed this? ABSOLUTELY NOT. This means you are blaming GOD for every evil thing on this earth, however cleverly. THAT TOO, is straight from the mouth of satan. Lay it all on God.

NOt to offend you, but you do not really know much about God and definitely do not know who Jesus really is if you think this. And I will defend this until the day I die. God sheds real tears, and Jesus and his angles look down and cry and grieve for us to see what we and his helpless little ones go through on this earth at the hands of satan, his demons and their followers. They are numerous and many. But Jesus HAS prepared a way of escape for us and that is with him in eternal peace and far removed from this place. Please, just know this is true. ABB

MdKd... ha ha. That is exactly what I thought would happen if it hadn't already. Starbucks or no other busy restaurant can afford to house free office hogs; their limited (high rent!) space is for their paying customers, and even those they strive to get them in and get them out, keep the lines moving. They might have allowed them to use their outdoor sidewalk café area, but I would think even then on a limited basis as this is where the smokers sit for a short coffee break and quick smoke, but even then not in colder weather.

So they've moved on to another free-loading office space? Not for long unless they start spending money for breakfast and lunch, whenever. Why do they even need an office spay anyhow. They don't have any office matters to take care of, do they? And who is 'they?' No sect'y, asst pastor, junior pastor, youth pastor, parking lot attendant, yard crew and bathroom janitor; just what do they have to meet about? recyncing their cell phone tones?

With who? Marriage counseling, pre-wedding counseling? For the little bitty business he was running, Davey could have just as easily met people in his home office or in his car, especially since Amanda was stuck having him under foot most of the time anywayz. Guess he had to be 'bigger' that that, 'eh? It's sort of pathetic, actually. ABB

At 12 weeks can the sex of a baby be determined?
December 4, 2015 at 7:32 PM

The gender of the baby is determined at the moment of conception.
The egg is always X, the sperm can be either X or Y.
XX = female
XY = male

Occasionally there are faulty sperm and a baby can end up with an extra X or Y gene which can lead to a whole raft of medical problems.

Gender is usually vissually identifiable at about 16 weeks onwards (ultrasound and a cooperative baby)

Gender can be determined sooner these days with a free cell blood test(it detects free floating cells from the baby in the blood)which is fairly new, amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling.
Both latter tests carry a small risk of miscarriage.

In the case of Amanda and her unborn baby, i would have expected the person doing the post mortem to have taken samples from the foetus to check for gender, any health issues and possibly also parentage (was davey the father which could have provided a motive)

Also mothers can choose to have the gender tested earlier due to a history of genetic health problems which only affect a specific gender allowing them to decide whether to continue with the pregnancy if the child is a high risk for a particular disease.

Also in IVF gender can be detected almost immediately and again a specific gender embryo is used due to no risk of an inherited disease (in most countries it is illegal to abort due to a babies gender (usually girls as boys as seen as desirable)

I dont know if davey has been made aware of the gender of the unborn baby, the medical examiner and LE will be aware as it would be in the autopsy report

Anonymous said...

Well, Tania, Amanda seemed to think she knew since she had already given the baby a female name. According to a post I read here she had just turned 13 weeks. Is this so, and if so how did she learn the gender of the baby?

Thanks for the info above, very interesting. ABB

Again, maintaining your image and having the "perfect" life is everything to you. I know divorce has become much more common in general but there are still pockets of Christianity where it's the last thing a woman would do.

Anon @ 11:16; NO, I am not speaking of tv evangelists who are Pentecostal. I was raised in a southern Apostolic Pentecostal church, a very small devout denomination; there are many different types of Pentecostal denominations. The one I was raised in was the most fundamentalist of all that I am familiar with and are a very small group, however, there are many more who align themselves as being Pentecostal, many of these claiming to be charismatic. You are correct in assuming I am a little experienced with all of their doctrines as I am but are by no means an authority on any doctrine. I have no formal religious educational background and don't need one. Even blind people who have never read a Bible would be able to follow the doctrine of Jesus as I believe and know it to be true.

However, I ALSO have knowledge in other denominations and have watched them all on tv from time to time. I doubt I've missed out on any of them over a long period of time. This includes Baptists, Catholics, Presbyterian, Episcopalians, Methodist, Messianic Jews, you name it; I've found good in ALL of them including the Jehovah's Witnesses and others who are not on tv; however unfortunately, many seem to only preach and serve to follow the one called apostle Paul, whom I DO NOT follow. Don't even presume to tell ME that many of them do not obtain divorces as I happen to know THEY DO.

As for MY part, I am only seeking to go in the right direction, the right path to the way home and it does NOT pertain to who gets divorced and who doesn't or to any particular denomination. I have carved out my own denominational beliefs based on the teachings of Jesus and him alone, and you'd be surprised to know what it is. It does NOT follow any specific mainline religion, Pentecostal or otherwise. Have a good day and don't ever attempt to get inside my head as you can't. There is only ONE who can do this. ABB

What does that have to do with the murder of Amanda Blackburn? What does that have to do with statement analysis? Please go argue about your own religious views somewhere else. Respect Peter.

Anonymous said...

Go busy yourself chastising your own self, "C". If someone makes a false allegation towards me, I WILL respond to it. You don't have to read it, now do ya? If you want to get technical however, there have been MANY responses that led into personal religious issues to many posts on all of the Amanda and Davey Blackburn articles. It would be impossible not too, since the entire theme of Amanda's murder and Davey's part in it is based on religions issues, with one opinion leading into another. It happens. ABB

Religion in context with the religious videos or something Davey has done religiously, such as speak at church, is relevant. Generalized discussion of various religions and people's religious preferences or general viewpoints on religion is not. I have seen quite a bit of religious bickering on this site. I asked that Peter's request be respected by EVERYONE, not just you as you are not "special" to me to single you out. It is up to everyone here whether or not each person wants to respect Peter's request or not. I will refrain from giving my personal viewpoints on religion as requested. If there had ever been much of a crowd at Resonate, Davey would have made sure the "crowd" got on camera reacting to his pithy anecdotes, right? I'm more and more convinced that Davey's little piece of the PN brand was failing. He was going more and more off the rails as his disdain for his wife leaked out. Today I'm convinced he blew up that morning, shot her and called in a thug friend to alter the appearance of what happened.

Let's talk about the case today, how 'bout it?

Ha. Cute "C". If you just concentrate on your OWN opinions, words and actions instead of those of others who post here, you'll have enough to worry about without trying to critique anyone else. Just so you know, it does not bode well on one who seemingly 'spreads the gospel' that they are minding their own business when you're not. ta ta... ABB

Agreed, anon @2:07. I pretty much agree with your thoughts on what happened that morning at the Blackburn residence too; that and more.

Davey was even blaming Amanda for his failure as a man, in every way, as well as it being her fault his little plant church was failing, also in every way. He killed her, in one way or another; I have no doubt. Without exception, everything points directly to him that morning. All these mysteries coming together could not be just a coincidence. ABB

I have not heard of any comments made by DB's mother or father. I am particularly interested in any public comments from DB's own father

Anyone?

We did, as one person said, learn a lot about his father in law by his reaction to DB's harsh description of his church (subsequently, the father in law's work) as 'dead or dry' or something. This is not a very assertive man who allowed this, but consider that DB's father may have been put through hell by his son and knows him much more than father in law.

Anyone following this case know if he has made public statements?

If he hasn't, it is suspicious to me.

There is no news on releasing the 911 call yet. This call is relevant to the analysis and could tilt my own opinion in either direction.

The more that Blackburn speaks, the more suspicion he brings upon himself. I am going to open a chat page if enough commentators wish to discuss the case.

David Blackburn, DB's father statement on November 11 https://www.wesleyan.org/4325/call-to-pray-for-amanda-blackburn

Davey's Dad, David Blackburn, Sr., a pastor in North Carolina, writes:

"The Family of God is amazing! So many of you, literally from around the globe, have come together to pray for Amanda Blackburn. Our families are overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayer and expressions of love. I will tell you that we have been leaning on those prayers heavily. Here is the latest:

The doctors are prepping a test to check on brain activity and blood flow. There is great concern about the amount of damage in the head injury. This test will determine any next course of action. Davey is being held powerfully by our Lord and is a remarkable tower of strength. As his dad, I'm in awe of God's strength flowing through him. That is because the Body of Christ is actively praying. Please keep praying. We are grateful for each one of you!"

Has anyone found a date that Meg, the babysitter and ex intern, moved to Indie. As of July 1, 2015 she had not yet moved, but announced she planned to move and she also set up a Go Fund Me account to help. The Go Fund Me page is no longer available. Here is Meg's facebook post.

"Since it's July 1st ... and officially Birthday Month I thought I'd share some fun news!! I'm moving to Indianapolis, IN to spend about 4-5 months with some of my favorite church planters! I would love to have YOUR support and there's a few different ways you could do that!
1- SUPPORT my Etsy Shop! http://etsy.com/shop/nothingiswasted
let me make something pretty for you and everything I make is going to help with the move to Indy!
2 - GIVE: I've set up a Go Fund Me webpage where you can read more about why, how, and what I'm doing and if you feel lead to give, you can! http://www.gofundme.com/MegsMovesToIndy

3 - PRAYERS there's still a lot of details that need to fall in to place in the next month and I'd love to have you join me in praying that my courage and faith stand up in the face of the obstacles that arise.
Thank you so much for reading this and considering to support me in ANY way. I'm super excited for this next season and can't wait to see what Jesus has planned because ...
The Best is Yet to Come"

Peter,
Davey's father and mother and his paternal grandfather made a brief appearance on video in the Celebration of Life tributes to Amanda. I can look this up. Davey's parents and their son and his wife are unobtrusively present in a group photo at Thanksgiving in Elkhart last week with Amanda's family.

His church issued this on Facebook at 2:57 pm November 10 (after Perry Noble already assumed Amanda was dead?):

"NEXT Church: We will be gathering tonight (Tuesday, 11/10) from 6:30-7:30 pm in the fellowship hall of Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian Church to pray for Amanda Blackburn. Amanda, the daughter-in-law of Pastor Dave and Brenda, remains in critical condition and is need of our prayers, as are Davey, Brenda, Pastor Dave and the entire family. If you can make it for all or even a portion of this hour, please lend your voice to our prayers for a miraculous, full recovery for Amanda. If you cannot make it tonight, please be in prayer right where you are."

Peter,
The NEXTchurch where Davey's father preaches has put links on Facebook to the Davey story, asking for prayers.
There don't seem to be many comments or Likes, almost none from the congregation. Just a sprinkling from outsiders.
I wonder if this speaks to their knowing more about Davey than we do.

By the way, they have posted no link to Davey's speech about his new God-appointed mission to bring the world to Him through Amanda's death. If you believed in your child and believed he was sincere and you were a minister, wouldn't you be spreading the word and having him come to speak at YOUR home church? I know I would.

I haven't seen a link from the mentor about this startling circumstance either. Just business as usual with a 2-day seminar featuring the StoryBrand.com marketing folks!

It appears Mr. Blackburn was deeply involved in the Wesleyan church for his whole career until the NEXTchurch which is another of the "church-of-what's-happening-now" breed.
There has to be more of a story there.
Is it possible that Davey's behavior somehow affected the father's good reputation in the Wesleyan church?
One wonders.

IF it was a hired hit, Davey may have been late going to the gym because he was having second thoughts about the hit
December 5, 2015 at 12:45 PM

More likely, if it WAS a hired hit, he had extra stuff do before (a phone call or two) on the 3ewsay to the gym and/or dragged his feet because he was feeling nervous.
