Navy Seal Highlights Method and Principle of Deception

Navy Seal

The disruption of experiential memory is a source of stress.  This includes sociopaths and debunks myths that "Hannabal Lector" can pass a polygraph because he feels no human empathy or remorse.

It also highlights why a deceptive person will often needlessly emphasize an irrelevant point.

"I did actually see a man outside the building."

That this may have nothing to do with the event the subject adds it, with emphasis (dependent word "actually") because as the subject considers the deception overall he is relieved to make a truthful statement.  It reduces internal stress and is very important to the subject because it is true.

The man outside was a UPS delivery worker, and had nothing to do with the theft.

But it was a relief from the internal stress by the subject who embraced the diversion.

This video highlights the method of deception used:  using technical truth to accomplish overall deception.

If the "enemies" learn statement analysis there will be no need for torture tactics. They will know the truth by the statements of the soldiers without all that cruelty.

OT:

Kerry speaks on accusations and possibility of suicide

Snipped:

Kerry said those accusations keep spinning more and more out of control and he can’t do anything about it, but there is no evidence to back any of it up.

“It’s just not true,” said Kerry. “Law enforcement went through all five of our laptop computers, they went through all of our electronics, they went through all of our history, and they have interviewed everybody who needs to be interviewed.”

Kerry said he has had more than 40 exchanges with law enforcement himself in the first 10 months and now he finds out he is being accused of being uncooperative with law enforcement.

They never found anything about an affair with anybody because there was nothing there, stated Kerry. “I am not sweating over what they found with Lynn’s body or her remains because I know there is no evidence that implicates me and I don’t believe there is anything that implicates my sons. I want to know what happened.”

Kerry said he is praying for his sons and the rest of his family. There were preexisting conflicts and issues and Kerry believes his son, Abram, has to work through his own struggles in his own way.

“I can’t account for why he has taken it as far as he has, but he never made these accusations until enough time had passed and everybody was stressed enough,” explained Kerry. “I think he’s talked himself into believing one thing or another and over time he’s talked himself into believing more. We’re hopeful and prayerful we will get the kind of answers that will help him settle down, help him process and help him go through the grieving process in a healthy manner. Right now he is just not doing it in a healthy manner.”

OT Update:

I understand that the polygraph if not administered properly (using the subjects own language) can give false positives. But iv'e never come across LE expressing doubt after someone has been cleared. Why would doubt creep into his language?
Did he pass with flying colours?
Were there some questions he just scraped through?
Were there questions suggesting if he knew other people maybe involved in her disappearance, etc..

Family of missing mom holds out hope

MOUNTAIN GATE (AP) — The family of a Northern California mother of two who went missing while jogging is holding out hope she will be found alive.

Sherri Papini, 34, has been missing since she went for a jog Nov. 2 in the tiny town of Mountain Gate in Shasta County, a case some say resembles the 1998 unsolved disappearance of a teenager in a nearby town, the Sacramento Bee reported Saturday.

Her husband, Keith Papini, reported her missing when he came home from work and found that she hadn’t picked up their two children from daycare. Her cell phone and headphones were found near where she was reported missing, officials said.

Without a body or a suspect, investigators homed in on those closest to her — namely her husband.

The Sheriff’s Office announced last week that he had passed the lie-detector test, and that they confirmed his story that he was at work when she went missing.

It appears he’s telling us the truth,”said Sheriff Tom Bosenko. Generally, you can’t trick a polygraph.

Many are wondering if the case is connected to the 1998 disappearance in nearby Shasta Lake of a teenage girl who resembles her.

Like Papini, Tera Smith, a blond 16-year-old Central Valley High School homecoming princess, was wearing running clothes the last time she was seen. Her body was never found.

In Smith’s case, detectives zeroed in on a possible suspect though they never made an arrest. Smith’s martial arts instructor, a man with a prior rape conviction, told investigators he dropped her off on the night she disappeared a few minutes’ drive from where Papini’s cellphone and earphones were found.

The similarities prompted Keith Papini to reach out to Tera Smith’s father, Terry Smith, for his advice.

“I didn’t have a lot of comfort to offer him. I’m not real confident that anything’s going to come out of it, but how do you tell somebody five days after their wife’s gone missing that she’s probably gone for good?”

Sheila Koester, Sherri Papini’s sister, also knew Smith, and the teen’s disappearance has been on her mind.

“For them to be so closely related in that we all went to high school with them, and they look like each other, it’s all very strange,” she said.

Koester believes her sister’s disappearance will end differently than Smith’s.

“We feel that she’s going to walk through the door at any time,” Koester said.

OT, just watched 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump. He said this when asked if he would get pursue Hillary Clinton and her misdeeds. "I don't want to hurt them, they're good people."

This is so disgusting. Does anyone even need to know statement analysis to know what he's saying.

Peter,
Would you consider analyzing NY Times' "letter of apology" to its subscribers? Talk about eating crow. I feel sorry for the ethical workers of that newspaper who are ineffectively being punished because the "boss" (C. Slim, who coincidentally is a very good friend of the Clinton's,) redirected their style of reporting. By being punished I mean subscribers cancelling their subscriptions leaving much less revenue to pay their employees, etc.
_______________

To our readers,

When the biggest political story of the year reached a dramatic and unexpected climax late Tuesday night, our newsroom turned on a dime and did what it has done for nearly two years — cover the 2016 election with agility and creativity.

After such an erratic and unpredictable election there are inevitable questions: Did Donald Trump’s sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate his support among American voters? What forces and strains in America drove this divisive election and outcome? Most important, how will a president who remains a largely enigmatic figure actually govern when he takes office?

As we reflect on this week’s momentous result, and the months of reporting and polling that preceded it, we aim to rededicate ourselves to the fundamental mission of Times journalism. That is to report America and the world honestly, without fear or favor, striving always to understand and reflect all political perspectives and life experiences in the stories that we bring to you. It is also to hold power to account, impartially and unflinchingly. We believe we reported on both candidates fairly during the presidential campaign. You can rely on The New York Times to bring the same fairness, the same level of scrutiny, the same independence to our coverage of the new president and his team.

We cannot deliver the independent, original journalism for which we are known without the loyalty of our subscribers. We want to take this opportunity, on behalf of all Times journalists, to thank you for that loyalty.

Sincerely,
Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr.

Incase people missed the link between Slim and the Clintons before:

[...]Even as the New York Times reports extensively and critically on the Clinton Foundation and its activities during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state, as with other news outlets, multiple high-dollar donors to the foundation are associated with the paper, including the Times’ top shareholder, Carlos Slim.

Slim, a Mexican telecom tycoon whose net worth of nearly $80 billion makes him the second richest man in the world, became the top shareholder of the New York Times earlier this year after he doubled his shares to take control of 16.8 percent of the company.

Not only has Slim contributed between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000 to the Clinton Foundation, but his company Telmex has contributed an additional grant between $1,000,001 and $5,000,000 through its foundation. Slim has also pledged $100 million to the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative, a collaboration between the Clinton Foundation and Canadian mining tycoon Frank Giustra. [...]
http://freebeacon.com/politics/new-york-times-top-shareholder-is-a-clinton-foundation-donor/

___________

Slim is also a very good friend of F. Giustra, who is himself a good friend of and intimately connected to the Clinton Foundation

___________

It's evident to me that these high rollers don't care about the "little people". They (NY Times employees) are just collateral damage with which Slim et al wipe the soles of their shoes.

Mr Trump is witnessing the power the left has by inciting riot. They're using their grass roots support in attetmpt to shame him and thereby control him. They're blaming him for whats occuring in our streets. When they caused it. He can say nice things about his opponents now because in time he only has to 'instruct' his DOJ to investigate. And they will prosecute. If he telegraphs too much the left will incite their Anarchists. Be patient. The DCN has imploded. Trump succeeded w/o the RNC. Time to clean house. He doesnt need them. Remake the RNC. If just his voters will turn off MSM and he as POTUS ignores them, MSM will be gone.

Suz,

No sense bringing the Nazi Party into it. For what you say to come to fruition, Trump would also have to own the national narrative.

All you have to do is read this (to the end):
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/375116/how-comcast-bought-democratic-party-matthew-continetti

and read/drill through this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comcast

and you'll see exactly what Trump was and will always be up against.

I'm glad he Tweets. He brands himself as the president for the people. It's the only platform he has to communicate with the nation -- a medium wherein he is read verbatim, wherein the reporting isn't split into two, the truth buried at the end of an article on page 14 or, as is usually the case, incorrectly framed and wherein he is partially or totally misquoted.

People love to elevate an underdog. MSM should have left him alone.

John quoted, “It’s just not true,” said Kerry. “Law enforcement went through all five of our laptop computers, they went through all of our electronics, they went through all of our history, and they have interviewed everybody who needs to be interviewed.”

I find that statement: "everybody who needs" to be interviewed, interesting. Who is everybody who doesn't need to be interviewed in Kerry's opinion?

John Mc Gowan said...

Hi, Michele

iv'e been following this case from nearly 2 years ago. His (husband) statements then, Set off alarm bells.

I will go through the search engine, and try to locate them.

Michele said...

Hi John,

The other things you pointed out were ringing bells for me as well. That one struck me as odd. He's not in charge of the investigation. He doesn't get to decided who needs to be interviewed and to declare "everybody who needs" interviewed has been interviewed. . . .troubling. Who did they miss?
