Statement Analysis: Matt Maloney's Denial

Matt Maloney

Grubhub CEO Matt Maloney sent out a company wide email telling employees to resign if they did not agree with his email against President elect Donald Trump. The company employs 1400 people.

Maloney then denied calling for resignations of Trump supporters.

Here is the call for resignation:

“If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here.  We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team.”

 Here is his denial:

"I want to clarify that I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump. I would never make such a demand."

"I want to clarify that I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump. I would never make such a demand."

We begin where he began:

"I want to clarify" is not a denial, but that which seeks to clarify what was previously said.

"I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump" is a very strong denial.

This is an example of an experienced deceiver.  He relies upon technical truth:  he called upon those to resign who "disagree" not "vote", and with his "email" not "Trump."

This is technically truthful, similar to "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky" where "sexual relations" is redefined by the subject.

We note that "would never" is a weak denial, avoiding the past tense usage of the first denial, but the next point is where we see a "statement analysis confession"

He used the word "demand" in his denial.

This changes the language of "please reply to this email with your resignation" to a "demand."

Deception Indicated.

The subject recognizes that what he did was a "demand", as CEO of his company.

His need to avoid a direct lie in the first characterization is undermined by his own choice of words.

He could have used any word here, including "request", "encouragement" or even "free choice."

He chose "demand" for his statement.  Out of his personal internal dictionary of more than 30,000 words, this was his choice.

This is to acknowledge that he has made a demand of employees who's vote did not agree with his, to leave his employ.

It would have been interesting to see if he would have demanded the resignation of anyone who has accepted bribes, ridiculed rape victims, perjured, and so on.  Instead, he focused on name calling.

Trump's "hate speech" has been blown out of proportion by MSM. Especially when it comes to his purported misogyny. Yes, he has said rude, offensive, inappropriate things about women: but what I have not seen anyone point out yet is that he spoke that way about specific women in specific circumstances. He did not make blanket statements about women in the sense of "this applies to half of the human race." We have also seen him say rude, offensive, inappropriate things about men that he dislikes. Isn't true sexism saying, "you can treat men this way but not women?" Equality isn't equality if a major factor of one's "equality" involves being sheltered from any sort of criticism simply because one belongs to a "marginalised" group.

I recoil when I hear the word "hate" being tossed around loosely. It has been applied to any form of disagreement.

Shannon, I can't help but notice that you said you hate Trump. That is hate.

Can you please provide (in context) actual hateful comments made by Trump? What are your reasons for hating him?

Anonymous said...

Can you please explain what you mean by "tolerant"?

Do you consider Maloney's demand for resignations of those who disagree with him to be tolerant?

Peter Hyatt said,
The point of the email was to voice his own emotional rage and impose his views upon others.

It's not just "Trump" it's anything, Peter. And not just within the work milieu, it's *everywhere*. I met a family friend for lunch yesterday and she baited me about the Trump election. I kept polite company and pivoted off the subject completely. It's done. Move on.

The reaction to this election leaves me gobsmacked. A petition to the Electoral College to reverse the election and *make* Hillary Clinton president on December 19th!? So toss democracy out the window altogether if the results don't meet with your political agenda! Violent protests?! What does vandalizing neighbourhood businesses accomplish except to push their insurance premiums up thereby forcing said merchant to layoff an employee because their overhead just went up?

I think it should be mandatory for every single post secondary student to take Economics 101 and actually learn *something* about how their economy works.

Thank you for your advice. I will follow it and I appreciate your comments. It is truly sad to see the hypocrisy and lack of thinking/reasoning.

I also appreciate your comment, Nic. I have found lately that I am in the minority among my friends and family. I don't know whether the blindness is willful or simply due to misinformation, but these are highly intelligent people, dear to me, and they cannot see the twisting of the truth.

I also didn't know there was a petition to reverse the electoral college to our Hillary in position. Talk about not accepting the election results. The crybaby attitude is staggering. Scary!

obama tried to flood the us with mexican illegals and give them the "right" to vote in a county where they have never paid taxes or even followed laws to enter, but get free welfare because they vote for the party who gives them free money

it is the dirtiest trick i ever seen how could anyone defend that? There were mexican americans for trump who got NO COVERAGE they want the wall they want legal immigration they got NO NOTHING fro the media

I assume that is what is referred to as "popular vote" (?)

Then, overturning the electoral college won't achieve anything in and of itself.

It's very telling that Obama isn't speaking out against insurrection and rioting. When there's a mass shooting, he holds an immediate press conference to condemn gun ownership. He speaks of unity and working together with Trump for a peaceful transition, but he does nothing to quell the unrest.

From my end, I am grateful to your blog and those that keep it alive! Thank you blog administrators!

We have an entire population of hypocrite bullies, that have been bullying anyone that has a different opinion. Trump stood up to all of them, by himself! I am in awe of this man! He had the courage that I didn't have, and he spoke for me.

What happened to the "Love trumps hate" campaign? It's gone down the tubes with their hate mongering and violence. Those posters were a sham, utilized to continue bullying.

Hillary was so contemptuous of half the nation when she called trump supporters deplorable. She was so sure of herself. She didn't apologize and she didn't care. It gives me pleasure to know that she was so discombobulated on election night that she was unable to form words out of her mouth and kept her from addressing her crowd of hate mongerers.

It gave me great pleasure to see B.O.'s face when he had to graciously allow President elect Trump into the White House. I'll bet this out of touch elitists isn't going to "spit into the wind" again. It also gives me great pleasure that his "legacy" went down the toilet, where it belongs.

Throughout all the videos of protests and violence I have yet to see a liberal speak out against this. This confirms how much hatred and contempt they feel for

In the meantime, today is Veteran's Day where we honor those that sacrificed themselves in order for these very protestors to have the right to do just that.
I don't know when or how my family assimilated into this country and its culture, but I feel just as patriotic and love this country as those patriots that fought for our freedom. I am, an AMERICAN! God bless our soldiers and their families.

Matt Malone should resign as CEO since he did threaten his employees telling them disagree with me - get out. He only back-tracked because of the growing backlash. Having worked for attorneys for over 30 years, I'm a little sorry that he is trying to back track because I was waiting for a front row seat when his employees sued him for creating a hostile working environment to name a few EE violations. I am beyond thrilled beyond belief the corrupt Obama In-Justice Department days are numbered and hopefully we'll get back to the rule of law and unimpeachable law enforcement agencies at the top of the government (including the FBI which has become a joke because of Lynch, Clintons, Comey).

I saw today that Chelsea is being "groomed" to run for congress to keep the Clinton dynasty alive - yeah, good luck with that. The knives are starting to come out as the Clinton Foundation (a/k/a criminal enterprise) is still under investigation and I think now that the threat of pay-back from a Clinton Presidency is gone, people are going to start saving themselves and there will be a water-shed of dirty laundry coming out on both of them.

I agree Hillary lost the popular vote as well as the electoral vote since she only won by less than 1% and that can be explained away by the rampant voter fraud that was perpetrated all over the country and exposed by Project Veritas (90 ballots in different name sent to the same single family home, vans were videotaped vans busing people from poll station to poll station voting multiple times and let's not forget Obama telling illegals go ahead and vote, we don't care).

As for Obama not speaking out about the riots, no big surprise. This is who he is at heart - a radical leftist community organizer who set out to "manage America's decline" - his own words. Instead of unifying the country, he divided it more by siding with Black Lives Matters, telling us the Justice Department wouldn't prosecute black panthers who were outside polling places with bats intimidating white voters because they were black, lecturing Christians and telling them they're the problem not radical Muslims beheading/crucifying people, telling cops they're the racists .... My favorite though has got to be when bragged in the 2012 election cycle about how he had written off the white working class vote because he didn't need it. Karma's a bit**

Fake Hate Swastika Editor John Anderson:
"When the results of the 2016 presidential election were finalized, some of the hate that was shown at rallies, on social media and even at the kitchen table reared its ugly head.
Images of vandalism, racist and anti-Semitic acts and signs were popping up in the media and the Internet.
The largest and simplest image was in Wellsville. A large softball dugout with a large swastika and the words, in all caps, Make America White Again.
Two things could have happened in this rural community.
More division or a bond to stop this kind of hate, no matter who you voted for.
The latter happened.
This newspaper was questioned right off the bat on why we would publish such an image after it was reported to us. Some readers made an excellent point — this could trigger copycats.
To us, the answer was simple — it was news.
We do not publish suicides, we do not put bomb threats on the front page. We do publish someone getting arrested for a bomb threat.
This was a public display of hate.
But it also unintentionally served another purpose. Children, our family our neighbors and friends started talking. They talked about how this kind of hate is not tolerated. Hate toward all races.
Parents who have never or never intended to have a talk with their kids about why a swastika is offensive, or why certain words or graffiti or vandalism is wrong are having that talk at the dinner table.
Hopefully it’s happening nationwide.
As an elementary student, I had no idea why people would doodle a swastika on a desk or textbooks. On the way to school one day, my dad noticed a swastika drawn in black marker on one of my school-issued textbooks.
He pulled the car over, pulled out a pocket knife and cut into the hard cover, a perfect square. The swastika was gone.
During his time on earth, my father never discussed his time in the Army. Suddenly, he said, “I spent four years in Germany in the Army and that symbol stood for hate and I never want to see it again.”
His words and his actions when it came to treating all people equal resonated with me.
Whoever defaced that dugout didn’t hear those words.
The police were contacted. Chief Tim O’Grady, who has an open door with the press, made a statement explaining simple police policy and how they could handle
Even those comments were met with hate from Internet commentators.
Meanwhile, in a matter of an hour, a complaint was made from the Softball Association, the public was calling and coming into the police station trying to help with leads and the paint to fix the wrong was donated. Volunteers drove over and started painting.
Nameless volunteers.
They didn’t want credit, they just wanted this painted over.
The same people locally and around the country who shared the original photo did something else.
They shared the healing.
There were over 900 likes and 559 shares of the new dugout, painted over.
The person who is responsible for this may not have family or friends letting them know it was wrong today.
But the community let them know. The photo of hate from Wellsville is being replaced with a photo of healing across the nation.
And somewhere, my father is smiling.

The DNC is almost obsolete now. The Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House.

The DNC has shown themselves to be elitist and stiff necked about their agenda. It is clear that there is no room for anyone with a differing perspective. The agenda that DNC touted was riddled with holes that revealed the "neediness" of it's members. "We need....we need....we need...etc.".was the message that Hillary imparted to the voters.

The Democrats came off as smug, self-righteous, immature, and "needy" in this election. The childish antics that were disguised in the intellectual robes of orators didn't get the American voters to vote in Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump has a backbone. It is something that people respect.

Many people voted for Trump because he didn't fear or cringe when smug Republicans turned their backs to him.

We need him. We know it.

I saw this email last night from the Grub Hub CEO. This email was a barely veiled threat to those employees who voted for Trump and/or who agreed with him. The CEO looks to be all of 12 years old so he is part of the "Victim" mentality. Responsible for nothing and everything that doesn't agree with their thought process is to be blamed. I travel quite a bit for my job and I've used Grub Hub on the road. Never again!!!

There is no denying we have a huge problem in this country with acceptance. "It's not fair, what about me, me me me" This election has exposed the giant crack. We've had a President for 8 years who has not tried to calm the flames of hatred but rather fanned them. He has not supported our police across the board. Hope and change was his platform. Things changed for the worse. Obamacare is a mess. Told us that we would keep our doctors and the cost would not go up. It went up up, insurance companies bailed and patients were forced to switch doctors. I digress.

What I see is huge hypocrisy with the liberal left. They made fun of Trump when he was asked at the debate "if you lose will you concede?" And Trump answered "It depends" (there was more but he didn't say yes right off the bat) That was front page news. WHO did not concede?? Hilary. Who is throwing a tantrum and protests? The liberal left.
The action by the CEO of Grub Hub is what was feared by the liberal left that would be done to them. They are chanting that anyone who voted for Trump is a racist, misogynist. uneducated, bigot, etc. They are not taking into consideration that people voted AGAINST Clinton. Voted AGAINST more of the same. Or that other people who are educated and are not racist, misogynist, hateful, bigot etc might actually think differently than them. Shocking I know! For the left, everyone must think like them or they will not tolerate it.

This is the left who preaches tolerance, love trumps hate, .. they are unable to accept that freedom to choose applies to ALL in the US. Not just to those who agree with them.

Hillary's supporters are the proverbial 2 and 3yr-olds throwing tantrums. Instead of throwing toys, they throw rocks through neighborhood store windows. Instead of throwing themselves down on the floor, kicking and screaming, they "throw" themselves down on busy roads. They scream and curse everyone who doesn't give them what they want. They verbally "hit" others with labels like "Misogynist", "Islamophobe", "Homophobe","Racist", and "KKK/Clan member".

GROW UP and start acting like the adults you profess to be. If you want to be taken seriously, much less respected for your viewpoint or cause, you need to act like an adult. Respect is neither owed you, nor can it be commanded/demanded. If you want to be respected, act respectable.

If you're going to exercise your "civic right to vote", you have a "civic responsibility" to be a mature adult and respect the Election process...and the outcome. In registering to vote and exercising said right, by virtue of your participation, you are affirming and validating (i.e. supporting) the Election process.

Just because you don't like the game outcome, doesn't mean you get to change the rules of the game.

Where there is no logic or intelligent thought, there are personal attacks. When one cannot "win" the debate/contest/ or argument by logic or skill, the bully demeans his opponent. With all due respect, Liberals pride themselves on their intelligence, securing and defending the dignity of the individual, and equality. Therefore, to act in a manner any less is a failure.

"“I’m not going to sugarcoat it: These have been very, very tough days,” Clinton said. “This is a tough time for our country. I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election and I know we have got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did is so important. It looks like we are on the path to winning the popular vote, and that says volumes about the importance of your work and the lasting impact it will have.”

Clinton’s comments are the first she’s offered since her concession speech to Donald Trump on Wednesday morning. Then and now, she kept a calm demeanor, not casting blame for the outcome but Friday’s call, which The Huffington Post was able to dial into, lasted roughly 15 minutes, interrupted for a few minutes by a tech snafu.

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- The lead singer of the Harlem Gospel Choir was arraigned Friday after being accused of assaulting a Donald Trump supporter during an anti-Trump demonstration in Manhattan Thursday night.

After spending eight hours in jail, 23-year-old Shacara Mclaurin faced a judge, accused of assaulting an elderly man during an argument over who won the presidency.

Like so many stories, this one has two drastically different versions.

"He's a Trump bully. He bullied her for four blocks calling her an N-word, a black beast, and he told her he was going to F-her up. My client did all she could do to get away from him. When she couldn't get away from him he shoved him on the shoulder," said Victoria Brown-Douglas, Mclaurin's defense attorney.

"She told police officer Gallagher, 'I will F-him up. I did push him I shoved him; I didn't think he would fall. I didn't think I pushed him hard enough for him to fall,'" the assistant DA said.

The accomplished singer says she just wrapped up a performance at the Plaza Hotel.

She was on her way home when she encountered the 74-year-old man, who she says mistook her for a protester, at Trump Tower.

"My character has definitely been tampered. People have been calling me all different kinds of names, picturing a story in the news that is definitely not me," Mclaurin said.

Mclaurin says the man followed and harassed her for four blocks.

Police say she shoved him, causing a gash to his head.

The Brooklyn woman was arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanor assault.

Eyewitness News interviewed Mclaurin five years ago after she was bullied and attacked by a group of classmates.

The incident sparked her anti-bullying campaign and foundation.

So to be accused of this was mind boggling to her.

"I had to spend numerous hours in a prison cell. It's not my lifestyle so it was really uncomfortable for me and it was a horrible experience. I cried, I cried, I was really hurt because I knew that the situation wasn't my fault," Mclaurin said.

Eyewitness News spent hours waiting at the alleged victim's home.

He could not be reached for comment.

Mclaurin is cleared to travel but must return to court in January.

Same girl accused classmates of beating her up five yrs ago

BROOKLYN -- A teenage girl was beaten with a padlock in a sock, allegedly by her classmates to keep her out of a talent show.
"You want all my love and my devotions," sang Schacara McLaurin. "You want my love and soul right on the line."

Sometimes it's hard to put feelings like sadness or joy into words.

When the 17-year-old McLaurin needs to express her emotions, she does it in song.

"I wasn't able to sing," she said. "I was able to talk very little. And everybody knows how much I love to sing."

Schacara is working through the pain of being beaten and bruised because for her talent.

She says five Brooklyn high school students wanted to silence her three weeks ago, hoping to keep her out of a talent show.

"They jumped me. I was beat with a padlock in a sock," McLaurin said.

Schacara was surrounded by the girls right outside her voice coach's Bedford-Stuyvesant home .

"I had a knot in my head," she said. "A gash in my head. A gash by my ear which caused me to get six stitches. And I suffered a lot of pain and now I'm not able to hear well."

Her mother was too emotional to talk on camera.

She's so proud her daughter is back where she belongs: on stage.

"I want to sing," she said. "I want to sing. All I want to do is sing."

Refugees held in Australian offshore detention to be resettled in US

The Australian government has announced a landmark “one-off” resettlement deal to the United States for some refugees held at Australia’s remote offshore detention facilities on Nauru and Manus Island.

On Sunday the prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, and the immigration minister, Peter Dutton, announced a deal that would prioritise families, women and children for settlement with “the prospect” that some others of the 1,616 people found to be refugees so far in offshore detention would be resettled in the US.

“I can now confirm that the government has now reached a further third-party resettlement arrangement,” Turnbull said. “The agreement is with the United States. It is a one-off agreement. It will not be repeated. It is only available to those currently in the regional processing centres.”

I wonder how many more "one-time" settlements the US will see before BO is out of office.

When is POTUS BHO or HRC going to demand their rioters STOP?

Statement Analysis Blog said...

They won't.

Saul Alinsky, socialist and communist revolutions

a. Decry all authority
b. Conquer by dividing
c. Stir violence

Then, the crisis arises where they cease power for themselves.

Recall, one of the first things Barak Obama did was to send a strong signal against cops, starting in MA where he sided against the cop without details emerging.

From there, he sided with Islamic supremacists and even claimed to know the "true" motive of the Orlando shooter, rather than his confession.

This is old strategy of psychological warfare and when people congratulate themselves for "not deleting" someone who disagrees, you see the moral narcissism I have addressed here, as the vulnerability to deception.

Oct 31st release of Mateen's statements.(2 weeks ago) In his own words.

you’re speaking to the person who pledged of allegiance to the Islamic State [of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi],” says Omar Mateen, speaking quickly and with a shaky edge to his voice, over the phone to an Orlando police negotiator.

“Can you tell me where you are right now so I can get you safe?” replies the negotiator.

“No,” Mateen spits out. “No. Because you have to tell America to stop bombing Syria and Iraq. They’re killing a lot of innocent people. So what am I to do here when my people are getting killed over there. You get what I’m saying?”

Obama did know the true motivation.

Ignorance is a curse. The president calls for unity and does the opposite. NOTHING. Assemble peacefully? THEY'RE NOT ASSEMBLING PEACEFULLY. Each fake hate = dozens of real hate? THAT IS AN ABSURD BASELESS CLAIM. Women have always worked in USA. Connecticut news TODAY, Trump supporter violenty assaulted in broad daylight in the viewing of patrol officer who arrested the assailants. They had 54 bags of heroine on them when committing the assault and 4 warrants. Nearly 900 drug offenders been released by obama. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

Drug dealing leaves an enormous debris field throughout society.

I have officially cancelled my account with GrubHub. I will not endorse or support a company that requires employees to resign due to their own personal beliefs, in the same email that preaches diversity and inclusion.

I'm getting more disgusted and angry by the day. On Facebook I am seeing my local media posts of stories they are covering. One is that someone in West Virgina posted a racial slur towards Mrs. Obama. Another is that 2 letters with racial hatred were left on someone's doorstep, in a town and the police are looking into it. (that is seriously THE whole story)

However, look at these two events that the media and Obama is absolutely ignoring and doing nothing about the physical violence. But they will raise the roof about a word by someone obscure on FB ??? This is very very frightening. We are heading down a road with no return if it is not stopped.

Obama Silent as Black Mob Beats White Man

By Todd Starnes

David Wilcox was just minding his business the other day when he got rear-ended on a Chicago street.

When he got out of his car to exchange insurance information - a mob of teenagers pounced. He was dragged from his car and pummeled as a crowd of onlookers watched.

“Somebody yelled, ‘That’s one of those white boy Trump supporters,’” Mr. Wilcox told CBS Chicago. “I said, what does that have to do with this? We’re talking about insurance here.”

Video of the attack has gone viral on social media and I've posted it below. It shows an untold number of suspects brutally beating Mr. Wilcox – egged on by the crowd.

“Beat his ass,” one of the bystanders shouted. “You voted Trump. Don’t vote Trump.”

While one group of thugs bloodied Mr. Wilcox, another group rummaged through his car – and one of the suspects got behind the steering wheel and drove away – dragging the poor man.

Police say there's no indication it was politically motivated -- even though video evidence clearly shows the mob was motivated by politics.

“What’s happening to America?” Wilcox wondered in an interview with the Chicago Tribune. “You’re supposed to be able to vote in peace. It’s supposed to be part of our democracy, and what happened is I vote for somebody, and I get beaten, robbed, and my car stolen, and I have no way of getting my wife to and from work safe anymore.”

So, why is it that Mr. Wilcox is not a household name like Michael Brown or Eric Garner? Where was the “Breaking News” coverage from the national media?

And why hasn’t the White House condemned this vicious attack? Why is President Obama’s indignation so selective?

His silence after a white man was beaten by a black mob – in his hometown – does make one wonder.

***** And the next link is to a video of the demonstrators in Portland who terrorized a pregnant woman trying to get thru for an emergency. She called the police and they would not come to help her. OUTRAGED

There wss a comment earlier that referenced the Reichstag fire and nazi. After thinking about it I realized the Left's Fake Hate hoaxes are their new Reichstag fire(s). They insinuate they're victims while they're actually assaulting people based on race. What could the reason be for obamas silence on warfare in chicago? Fear? Embarrassment? The lefts Reichstag fires are daily now.

They are paid for by Soros.

What then is the motivation of Sore-Oh's to undermine EU & USA? He lived thru nazi occupation. His dad protected his young family and others who sought his help. The book his dad wrote about the experience is Masquerade.

This is not Sor-e-oh's first rodeo. He has been inciting riots all over the world.

The students must be losing focus as he/they just upped the hourly pay to $35.

Depending on the location, when the snow starts flying, they won't be motivated to demonstrate for hours in the cold.

An Ottawa woman who runs a Jewish prayer centre says she was "stunned" to wake up in the middle of the night and discover someone had spray-painted a swastika and an anti-Semitic slur on the front door of her Glebe home.

Ottawa rabbi Anna Maranta says she woke up Tuesday morning to find a swastika and a racist slur spraypainted in red on her front foor. (Facebook)

It happened sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 2:45 a.m. ET Tuesday, Anna Maranta told CBC News.

"I went to bed a little later than usual and woke up in the middle of the night, around 2:30, and as I was walking back to my room coming down the hall I saw a reflection on my front door, which is a glass window door, that kind of startled me," said Maranta, who describes herself as a rabbi.

"I knew right away it was a swastika."

The word "k--e" was spray-painted above it

"I came and took a look at it and was just stunned that this had happened," Maranta said. "I immediately took a photo and then contacted some of my friends just to get some feedback and support."

Maranta takes care of children during the day in her home, and said she quickly covered the hateful message with newspaper. The graffiti has since been removed.

She also filed a report with Ottawa police online.

Maranta said she's often been engaged in social activism, but that "this is the first time I've ever had a really personal attack. It just feels very, very different.

"It's one thing to be marching down the street and be yelled at from the sidelines," she said. "This is somebody who came onto … my property, onto a lit porch, somebody who knows my routine, and so it's likely somebody … I know in this neighbourhood, and that hurts me even more."

Maranta believes the election of president-elect Donald Trump could be related to the racist graffiti on her door.

"My first thought is that this is an example of what happens when you allow somebody who is in a position of power to speak openly racist, bigoted, misogynistic language and don't censor [it] in any way," Maranta said.

"It allows other people to express their feelings, to express their hatred, and to feel like they've been given permission to do so because no one has effectively silenced that."

Ottawa police are investigating. Anyone with information about the racist graffiti is asked to call the force's hate crimes unit.

It strikes me as odd that she speaks to somebody "knowing her routine" when what she is referencing is being asleep in the middle of the night.
