Fraudulent Email

This email came to Hyattanalysis@gmail.com

Dear Beloved one,

I am Mrs Nicole Marois, and i have been suffering from ovarian cancer disease
and the doctor says that i have just few days to leave.I am from (Paris) France
but based in West Africa Benin Republic since eight years ago as a business
woman dealing with gold exportation.

Now that i am about to end the race like this, without any family members and no
child, I have $3 Million US DOLLARS in Africa Development Bank(ADB)Benin
Republic which i instructed the bank to give (St Andrews Missionary Home) here
in Benin Republic, But my mind is not at rest because i am writing this letter
now through the help of my computer beside my sick bed.

I also have $4.5 Million US Dollars at (ECOBANK GROUPE BENIN REPUBLIC) here in
Benin Republic and i instructed the bank to transfer the money to the first
foreigner that will apply to the bank after i have gone that they should
release the fund to him/her,but you will assure me that you will take 50% of
the money and give 50% to the orphanages home in your country for my heart to
rest with GOD.

Return back to me immediately if you can handle this transfer project on my
behalf before death cross my way so that i will send to you a copy my
international passport which you will show to the bank to make the bank know
that i instructed you to contact them for the transfer of my fund with them to
you, and also give to you the bank contact information so that you will apply
for the transfer of the fund and fulfill my dream of building orphanage home in
your country,

Yours fairly friend,

Mrs Nicole B. Marois.

I feel it was written by a man.
Women dont use the expression "Now that I am about to end the race like this".

White American male
He's seen the movie "Beloved" & thinks he will sound black if he uses that term.

This brought to mind the people - scambaiters - who spend a lot of time leading on and frustrating the senders of similar fraudulent emails - some of the exchanges are quite funny. If anyone is interested:

Guffaw at the spam email. I still can't believe people fall for such scams.
Cue sobs tory, unbelievable amount of money and plea for help and badly spelled at that and trite sign greeling and sign off.

A typical nigerian scam letter this time no prince involved.

Personally when I get them I either forward to a scam ending site who play with them or I sign the real email address up for every spam site I can find

Werd imagrandma...I love your posts. I left you a response to your reply a few weeks ago back on the old mark Cuban thread.

...there is a reason to have an obvious scam. it weeds out all those who will not fall for it. the scam is structured to grab the person who is very gullible or an older senile person.

the scammers do not want to do email tag with people who will not be scammed.

St. Theresa, I see that now. Thank you for the gracious response. It wasn't a negative reply to you, but I was being a bit facetious. The next morning I deleted it, I wasn't sure my humor came through as I intended. For caution as respect, I removed it. The Cuban post was a good discussion. Thank you and others for the supportive comments.

I googled to see if you were quoting, Ima - what you wrote sounds like an Instagram quote. A similar quote came up as something In the Huffington post and not so close, an Eminem lyric.

An sick bed? Will it die with the writer?

i instructed the bank to transfer the money to the first
foreigner that will apply to the bank

So we all can call the bank and ask them if the writer already died so we can transfer the money to our bankaccounts.......i can use some money lol i will google the phone number before another foreigner does hehe

So any foreigner can go to the bank yet its been also instructed to give the money to the person with a copy of the international passport.
since when do international passport exist? I only know personal passport from certain countries depanding where you are from

50% has to go to orphan home in "my" country, 50% for own use......so what is left to build a orphan home?
Guess math wasnt his best class haha

As tania said i also cant understand why anyone would think they are "that lucky".......

Best comment today!

Sad posting as anonymous and bashing others......such person could easily be the writer of such an email!

The writer has just a few days to leave (with your money), not die. They will end the race (of Life, a reference to an English language board game, and be rich). They instruct a bank to give their money to the first foreigner to claim it (contradicting that they are French). Return back to me immediately (they want money returned to them in exchange for the forged cashiers checks, before the real bank discovers the fraud). Before death crosses their path (they plan on leaving and traveling to avoid justice).

Scams like this are typically run as a team in a "boiler room" the person writing the e-mail will not be the same person answering the phone, someone else will pretend to be the bank. Some of the people who work phones and emails in scams like this are under genuine threat to work as slave labor, and do not share in ill gotten gains. The bosses and soldiers likely are murderous thugs. The frequent mention of death may mean the writer is being threatened with death.

Once you've been publicly humiliated, an immunity begins to build. It stings at first and takes awhile to fester out. Then you're left with a dead stinger that's no longer a viable force. Objectively processed over time, a pivot occurs and a sense of strength grows in confidence. Unexpected!

St Theresa, lol funny!

HOw about the fact that he has said in one interview that he was not even in the school that day.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37zoQLgqEy0

How about the fact that he uses disturbing linguistics in his speech like "blood of our children on their faces"?

HOw about the fact Hogg changes his story about his whereabouts that day?

How about the fact Hogg shows signs of lying (closing his eyes) when he describes his teacher "shutting the door" after he supposedly tells her he heard a gunshot?

HOw about the fact Hogg is on video in the school at a time before the shooting with a fellow student saying "Why is this guy even going to our school? He is 25 yrs old?

HOw about the fact that he repeatedly talks about "doors" even though he wasn't at school that day? And makes graphic references to blood?

Anonymous said...

And the FBI was unable to trace the other 9 guns that someone dumped on the shooter's bed and then posted on his social media? The FBI couldn't figure out who owned those guns, who bought those guns, and where from? Seems like real important evidence in a death penalty trail! What if someone else bought those guns or owned them? The court would want to know that.

David Hogg has said that he has guns in his home bc his Dad is a retired FBI agent.

Why was David Hogg zooming all around town on his bike during the school day or even after? Did he zoom home "THREE" miles for a quick shower to the get "the blood of the children" off of him?

I hope that since Florida is revving up the electric chair to fry the mentally handicapped alleged shooter they at least have David Hogg clarify his whereabouts at ALL times during the day of the shooting!!!

Anonymous said...

Watch and listen carefully at around 3:00 in this other link where Hogg speaks about "the shooter at Douglas" being mental. From the SA I am doing it would appear that Hogg is very uncomfortable speaking about the shooter bc the guy they are going to fry is not the real shooter. If you pause the video you can even see duper's delight.

off topic

The foreman of the Noor Salman jury contacted the Orlando Sentinel with a statement about what the three days of deliberations were like for the 12 people who acquitted the widow of the Pulse shooter, Omar Mateen. Jurors listened to eight days of testimony and found Salman, 31, not guilty of aiding and abetting Mateen’s providing of material support to a foreign terror organization and of obstruction of justice. The court has kept the names of jurors secret, and went as far as having them meet at a separate location away from the courthouse every day of the trial so U.S. marshals could drive them to the courthouse. The foreman asked to remain anonymous.

Below is his statement in its entirety:

“As foreperson of the jury in the Noor Salman trial I felt it important that I present a juror’s perspective of the verdicts. I am giving you my perspective, and not speaking for the entire jury. My initial inclination was not to communicate with the news media at all, however once I returned home a watched the news coverage of the reactions to the verdicts I felt compelled to at least clarify several misconceptions.

First, I want to express my deepest sympathy to family and friends of the victims of this senseless tragedy. I understand the desire to hold someone accountable for this heinous act of violence. Omar Mateen is dead. He cannot be punished. It is only logical the world would look next to Noor Salman.

These past few days have been very difficult. We listened carefully to opening arguments, testimonies from both prosecution and defense witnesses, viewed many exhibits and heard closing statements. We received many pages of documentation from the court outlining very specific instructions related to the charges and how we should apply the law. We used these detailed instructions, our courtroom notes, and all evidence presented by both sides in our deliberations.

Having said that, I want to make several things very clear. A verdict of not guilty did NOT mean that we thought Noor Salman was unaware of what Omar Mateen was planning to do. On the contrary we were convinced she did know. She may not have known what day, or what location, but she knew. However, we were not tasked with deciding if she was aware of a potential attack. The charges were aiding and abetting and obstruction of justice. I felt the both the prosecution and the defense did an excellent job presenting their case. I wish that the FBI had recorded their interviews with Ms. Salman as there were several significant inconsistencies with the written summaries of her statements. The bottom line is that, based on the letter of the law, and the detailed instructions provided by the court, we were presented with no option but to return a verdict of not guilty.”

-------

She was guilty as heck but the charges and verdict options were not those that would have enabled a well deserved guilty verdict.

CNN interview with David Hogg
https://edition.cnn.com/2018/02/21/us/david-hogg-conspiracy-theories-response/index.html

CNN reporter: “David, Kevin, appreciate that you are being with us. David first of all did Donald Trump jr. is liking tweets in espousing a conspiracy involving you and your dad I am wondering what goes through your mind when you hear that?”
David Hogg: I am just so sorry that these people lost their faith in America, because I know I certainly haven’t the fact these people refuse to believe that something like this, cause …could happen is something that all of us don’t want to believe but the sad truth is that it is. I…..these people saying this is absolutely disturbing and I am not an actor in any sense, shape or form. I am the son of an reform FBI agent and that is true but as such it’s also true, that I went, that I go to Stoneman Douglas High School and ….I was a witness to this I am not a crisis actor, I am somebody that had to witness this and literally live through this and I continue have to do that, but I am also (…) that…i-it’s just, it’s unbelievable to me that these people are even saying this and the fact that Donald Trump jr. liked that post is disgusting to me but it’s also… false. In in terms of the sense that uhm these people keep saying that I am anti – second amendment. I am not. I am with lo….if …I want every American to be able to own a gun that has a mentally stable mind , a person that has a credible background that doesn’t have any previous like major convictions. And somebody that’s not gonna go out and commit these atrocities. Cause those are the people that are at fault here.

https://www.cbsnews.com/video/parkland-shooting-survivor-david-hogg-on-emotional-return-to-school/

Reporter: “Joining me now from Parkland, Florida is senior David Hogg, he survived the shooting. He’s a student reporter turned activist. David it’s been two weeks, I am curious how are you doing and how are your other classmates fare today?”

David Hogg: “Today was a touch day, but a today that had to happen eventually. It was always going coming along it’s one we had to have, to show that we were going to be leaders and we’re going to be uhm we work legally by example for other students across the nation. We needed to come back and show that we stand in solidarity. That we stand in solidarity with our other students and really come together as a community and that’s what we saw today. Even though when I was walking in this (?) I was sad. Many of us felt empowered and strengthen by the warmth and loving kindness that the world has brought us.”

Reporter: “What was it like walking back in that school today. You talk about feeling empowered, wwhat were the other emotions running through you guys?”

David Hogg: “Uhm, the other emotions running through me were , I really need to water my garden, that’s, that we have at the school, that’s called Marjorie’s garden cause it hasn’t really been watered in the past two weeks, except by rain. Uhm but really what was going on was kind of a mixed floury of emotions of melancholic, sadness and happiness at the same time, because you have the reality of coming back and meeting all your friends, but you also have the reality of knowing that there’s 17 individuals that were not there and every day when I came to school, when I was coming into the senior lot I would wait coach Feis and he would wait back at me. I never really said a word to the man in my life, but he was just a loving person and he showed that every day to me and it was really hard going trough there and having a police officer stand there instead of uh coach Feis.”

Reporter: “Hmm I know he was just a present at that school. You and your class mates found the Never Again movement really in the first 4 days after the shooting . Where do you feel you’re getting the most traction at this point?”

David Hogg: “I think the most traction that we really getting at this point is uhm is really political action from some of the student stepping up from across the nation and obviously economic action that we’re taking against the state of Florida saying don’t come here uhm until reasonable gun le-legislation is passed. Uhm so there is….the reason I came to school today was because there is a bill in the works and uhm that was enough for me to come back even though I wished it already been passed and I wish that so many other things had been done. Change is slow, it always has been, hopefully it won’t always be, but uh we had to continue fight on and continue working.”

Reporter: “In addition to that bill David, you’ve been calling for companies to boycott the NRA. You’ve back calls for Amazon, their streaming service to no longer carry NRA TV. What do you say to your critics who say that by attacking that you’re attacking free speech and doesn’t the NRA have the right to broadcast those views?”

Habundia said...

David Hogg: “The NRA does have a ri….a right to broadcast those views but they don’t have a right to send out false lies to the…their supporters, honestly, it’s the fact. The thing that makes me the most mad is that they allow this propaganda to continue and they k…and they’re able to continue to lie to their supporters at the end, like Dana, the spokes woman, she’s not really working for the people of the NRA, she’s working for the gun lobby and I understand that there are critics out there that say that we n… that we need that freedom of speech, I agree. It’s just the fact that these companies are supporting them that’s why we’re boycotting them. They can carry their messages elsewhere at their own websites.

Reporter: “When you say lies, what are you referring to?

David Hogg: “Well whe…when I say lie I am referring to some of the propaganda that they putting out there. Saying that, we need to be afraid, you need to go out and buy more guns, because that’s what Dana from the NRA is pushing. She wants people to go out and buy more guns, so that the NRA can continue to be supported by the gun lobby where we created this positive feedback (?) people. They…they in center try to tell people that they need to be afraid and I don’t agree with that. I don’t think the majority of America can agree with that. And that’s something we need to stop and they do have a right to say what they want. They absolutely do, but so do I.”

Reporter: “You know David, about 20 years ago the NRA found there should be no guns inside classrooms. That they should be save school zones and they obviously changed their opinion over 20 years now calling for teachers to be armed. I’ve been speaking to political scientists who that say that the Republican party is becoming more and more conservative on their view points in this particular issue. How do you reach out to those Republicans who disagree with you?”

David Hogg: “(?Porn)out the fact that they’re owned by the NRA, honestly. Tha ..u..understand with them and work with them and realize we’re not trying to take your guns, in the same way that the First Amendment makes it so that you can say what you want almost where ever you want. But there’s limitations on that were you can’t scream fire in a crowded theatre, you shouldn’t be able to get a weapon of mass destruction like these guns are. If you’re a mentally unstable individual, if you’re somebody with a criminal history or somebody that has committed (?) domestic violence in the past, that, those are the people that we’re trying to prevent from getting guns. Not your average citizen, we don’t want to take your Second Amendment rights .”

Reporter: “You know sheriff Scott Israel is coming under increasing scrutiny for his department’s handling of the shooting. Do you think that sheriff Israel should be held responsible?"

David Hogg: “I think sheriff Israel should be held responsible, in the same way that our politicians should be held responsible, because at the end of the day, we notice people like governor (?} Scott and Senator’s and different people blaming the bureaucracy and that’s what they aim to do they want to aim…blame the bureaucracy so that they get re-elected and they distract the American public su…from who’s actually in charge of all these different organizations. And if people like governor Scott (?) in charge of them. I do agree with the idea that when you have reforms in some of these organizations we absolutely do. I think what the politicians really are trying to do here is push us off on the organizations that they are in charge of not themselves, because at the end of the day they are essentially the CEO of the government not the people at the very bottom. “

Habundia said...

Interviewer: “What would you like to see happen to sheriff Israel?”

David Hogg: “I think sheriff Israel uhm honestly I can’t , I can’t really comment on that because we haven’t have a full investigation. We haven’t seen what the true motives were behind this. We haven’t seen anything like that. Personally I think Scott (?) is a good man from my little experience with him uh…do people make mistakes? Absolutely, but those are mistakes that we need to work through as American citizens not as Democrats or Republicans but as Americans for our children’s lives. And it is something that we do, absolutely have to focus on fixing but we can’t just play the blame game we have to just focus on fixing it.”

Interviewer: “You know, one of your fellow students Minollo Alvarez told the Miami Herold about Nicolas Cruz, the suspected shooter. That this kid gets bullied a lot somehow someone should do something. I definitely regret not saying anything. Do you think that anti bulling measures are part of the agenda that you perusing and should be part of it?”

David Hogg: “I think that we definitely should incorporate like mental health care and different aspect of reporting these type of scenario’s to people, in the sense that whoever said that about Nicolas Cruz obviously, hopefully reported him uhm and there were multiple reports that were misidentified and that were not persuade and that’s that’s part of the issues that we have to address here as American citizen that in fact there were mistakes made that caused these lives and we need to work through them and make sure they don’t occur again in the future.”

Interviewer: “You know Nicole Hawkly who helps run Sandy Hook promise told my colleague Margaret Brandon on fascination the Sunday that she feels that this school shooting is different from the Sandy Hook thing because these are students now advocating for students. Do you feel that momentum and how is that propelling you forward?”

David Hogg: “I feel that momentum coming from my generation which I compassionately not even call millenniums at this point we’re kind of on the edge of that, we’re more generation Z. I feel that passion in the war of the crowed at these rally’s where you can feel the passion in your chest and the movement and the change just in the sole of America’s democracy the very foundation of our democracy is being changed and is being brought back to what it should be, because the glass that is democracy is been shattered by bullets from these guns and we’ve been separated as Americans in Democrats and Republicans but now we need to come back together stronger and better than ever to safe the future of these kids lives.”

Interviewer: “David Hogg I wanna thank you so much for joining us on a very difficult day really for you and your fellow classmates, thank you David.”

David Hogg: “Thank you!”
