In one interview her line about how JobBenet will never know cancer says it all to me. She saw her battle with cancer as a WORSE fate than what JonBenet suffered!? In what world is surviving cancer worse than being murdered?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02680510856590830567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-88538111703858874712014-01-22T17:22:37.597-05:002014-01-22T17:22:37.597-05:00Hi Jen--You described the whole scene in more deta...Hi Jen--You described the whole scene in more detail than I knew, and I totally agree with you--it is like Patsy was acting out a scene from a play. And she had obviously reharsed in her head the Lazarus line--thre's no way she came up with that off the top of her head and noone would naturally say something that theatrical. Maybe the ransom note was written by Patsy to throw people off long enough so that she could assemble a crowd to watch her performance when JonBenet was finally found in the basement?! Just recalling the ransom note in my head now, there are quite a few linguistic indicators of possible MSBP even the ransom note writer's fake concern for John's health and well-restedness before he makes his exhausting journey to deliver the money! Patsy Ramsey was truly a psycho!Maggienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-40404400085945584772014-01-21T13:50:28.891-05:002014-01-21T13:50:28.891-05:00Hi Maggie,
The thing you mention about Patsy aski...Hi Maggie,

The thing you mention about Patsy asking for JonBenet to be brought back to life, and the whole scenario surrounding her being 'found' has always been one of the strangest, and strongest indicators of the Ramsey's guilt, imo.

According to Steve Thomas' book JonBenet, in the moments after John 'found' Jonbenet's body, and callously carried it upstairs...Patsy did NOT move from the couch despite the intense commotion, and Fleet White screaming to call 911. She waited until John brought her up, laid her out, checked her pulse and asked the detective if she was gone, (although she was already stiff with rigor) moved her a SECOND time, covered her with a blanket (further contaminating the scene)...and THEN the female friends who were attending to Patsy helped her into the room, holding her upright, where she collapsed over JonBenet's body. The detective, who had lost control of the crime scene, asked the pastor to lead the group in prayer, and as he began to pray Patsy sprang to her knees and yelled, "Jesus you raised Lazarus from the dead, please raise my baby".

WHO. DOES. THAT.

Who sits and waits for the scene to be staged, then has to be dragged/carried into the room where their daughter is, after supposedly spending the morning terrified, and waiting for any word on her safety and whereabouts. I would be tackling anyone in my way. Who yells out a cheezy movie-esque line like "Jesus you raised Lazarus from the dead, please raise my baby", in the first throws of grief after 'finding' their daughter brutally tortured and murdered in their own home.

That hacky line couldn't sound more rehearsed if she stopped halfway through, cleared her voice, and said.."lets take it from the top..."Jesus you raised..."

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02680510856590830567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-74756929077359741092014-01-20T20:25:41.996-05:002014-01-20T20:25:41.996-05:00Skeptic--Absolutely--Patsy assembled a crowd of pe...Skeptic--Absolutely--Patsy assembled a crowd of people to witness them searching for JonBenet. Also, I always though it was very odd how Patsy reportedly implored her pastor to "bring JonBenet back to life" (or something like that I may not be recalling it exactly).
The ransom note makes sense if viewed through the lense of munchausen by proxy. A hallmark of MSBP is that the mother will make up more and more puzzling symptoms and the doctor will puzzle and run more tests trying to figure out what is causing the confusing symptoms. JonBenet's murder, staged crime scene and ransom note could be a similar dynamic where Patsy has created these conflicting, puzzling "symptoms" of what befell JonBenet that Christmas night.
Maggienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-36047347136160830422014-01-20T17:26:22.364-05:002014-01-20T17:26:22.364-05:00Munchausen’s is also indicated in the question whe...Munchausen’s is also indicated in the question where it is pointed out that it was silly if not dangerous of Patsy to invite over a crowd of people, in correlation with a ransom note that said “don’t call the police”. It indicates that Patsy is more interested in the attention of her friends than she is in the recovery of her daughter, and if so, why? Isn’t she worried about the kidnappers seeing this throng and drawing the wrong conclusion? Admittedly I say this as an introvert, but if I were in this awful situation I wouldn’t want a crowd of people in my home trampling over evidence. I’d be doing all my fretting with my family in the house or freaking out in a room alone. I mean, we've all seen probably a thousand movies and TV series on the theme of kidnapping. What victim throws an impromptu party?! I'm not sure where this was in a timeline but wouldn't the police tell you not to invite a gaggle of looky-loos?skepticnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-257336954998352642014-01-20T13:15:42.505-05:002014-01-20T13:15:42.505-05:00It's unreal the amount of interference Wood ne...It's unreal the amount of interference Wood needed to provide for his 'innocent' client.

Practically every question Wood jumped in to give Patsy time to think, and to direct her how to avoid answering, with his 'objections', (rantings). I don't think I read a single answer by Patsy without at least one qualifier or reduced commitment. Then after all of the nonsense and time wasted by Wood, seeking clarification on EVERY word spoken, repeatedly stalling and making the deposition generally difficult...Wood makes a declaration on the record, (getting in the last word in when it wasn't even his deposition to begin with) that they want it known that Patsy has answered all questions and will gladly stay for more, and they want the record released to the public. As if anything would be accomplished if the deposition lasted 1000 hrs, while Wood and Patsy did everything possible to keep from providing actual information.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02680510856590830567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-87487974553848507682014-01-19T22:36:02.234-05:002014-01-19T22:36:02.234-05:00Did Patsy have Munchausen by Proxy? What is almost as strange is that in the doctor's interview that Shelley posted on the last JonBenet thread, the doctor speaks very highly of Patsy. The doctor adamently insists he does not believe JonBenet had been sexually abused, yet, as JonBenet's doctor he does not offer any alternative explanation for why JonBenet had these constantly recurring infections. Maybe because JonBenet did not really have that many infections? Maybe it was because Patsy was a munchausen Mom seeking attention from the doctor in an extremely sick way by using her own daughter?
Maybe the ransom note and even JonBenet's terrible death was another horrible manifestation of Patsy's pathological desire for attention. The ransom goes on and on as if it was written by someone seeking attention. The example that Hobs posted is something even a truthful deponent does because they are answering the root question and not the echo "is that correct" question at the end. What that example proves to me is that Lin Wood is a very seasoned, record-concious attorney who realizes that when words get translated to paper the meaning of them sometimes appears differently than how they were stated. (Anyone who has ever had a text misinterpreted knows this.)

By the way, I think Patsy is guilty of killing her daughter, but looking at this one deposition question wouldn't be the smoking gun for me at all, since I have encountered this situation millions of times with truth-telling witnesses.Carnival Barkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12143028610923342885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-32620948023951743482014-01-19T17:23:05.109-05:002014-01-19T17:23:05.109-05:00Mr. Hoffman's compound questions were maddenin...Mr. Hoffman's compound questions were maddening. Trying again. One thing that jumped out at me reading the CNN interview this time, is just how weird it is for Patsy to say she didn't read the letter from the supposed kidnappers of her daughter. It makes zero sense. I can sort of see her not fully taking it in in the moment she realized JonBenet is missing (it's long) and wanting to take immediate action (look for her, call police) but to deny having read the note from the people who took her/murdered her when you claim you're trying to figure out who did this/why? They called police and then waited in the house for hours before finding JonBenet. You expect anyone to believe that in that period of time you didn't read the message from the people who took her? Wouldn't that just be of paramount importance? The leaves the question of why someone in that circumstance would deny familiarity with or even interest in so critical a piece of evidence. Not wanting to answer questions about things in the note? That's part of it. I think a lot of it is also disassociation: "Write it? Why, I didn't even read it! I couldn't even begin to tell you what it says" "Oh, the ransom note that proves an intruder murdered JonBenet? You know, I've just been so distraught, I haven't had time to read it."

This reminds me a bit of the Christie statement repeated in the press conference that he didn't ask any questions of his staff after the emails came out. He just had someone else fire them after finding out they lied. He gives as an excuse that he doesn't want to be accused of interfering with an investigation or whatever, but that's pretty weak, coming from someone who is assuring people this won't happen again and that he's trying to get to the bottom of what happened. Again, if your closest aides grossly abused their power in such way, lied to you about it, and created this total crisis/taint on your office, wouldn't you want to hear what their explanation or story was, even if you were dubious of its veracity? Not asking the staff member(s) what happened allows him to say he doesn't know what happened. Or as Peter suggests of Patty, he doesn't need to ask questions because he already knows the answer.Ivynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7164794708270892518.post-52841266161253394532014-01-19T13:48:46.893-05:002014-01-19T13:48:46.893-05:00OT
