Soccer Moms Aren't So Bad...

Here, we have "Soccer Moms" who get upset.  It could be worse.

SAO PAULO (AP) -- Police say enraged spectators invaded a football field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body after he stabbed a player to death.
The Public Safety Department of the state of Maranhao says in a statement that it all started when referee Otavio da Silva expelled player Josenir Abreu from a game last weekend. The two got into a fist fight, then Silva took out a knife and stabbed Abreu, who died on his way to the hospital.
The statement issued this week says Abreu's friends and relatives immediately "rushed into the field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body."
Local news media say the spectators also decapitated Silva and stuck his head on a stake in the middle of the field.
Police have arrested one suspect.

  2. Got that right, veruca...

How can a statement the authority issued say friends and family did the stoning and quartering and spectators placed the decapitated head on a stake in the middle of the field but only one was arrested(one suspect)?

  3. This is barbaric and unbelievable at the same time. How many in the crowd were armed with knives? The referee had one on the field?

I'll stick to ice hockey... it's safer!

  4. I saw the video of the man at the hospital. How any person could do this to another is beyond me. He was literally cut into sections. How can you do that and not feel bad about it????? Say what you want about America, it's not perfect but I'll take living here over anywhere else.
