  3. didnt she say they liked to have sex in public places and store dressing rooms?
obstruction of justice charge is probably why the US Marshals were involved.
doubt these charges are related to heather missing but were only come upon due to the heather missing investigation.

  4. Gross. Those poor experts who reviewed the surveillance videos...

  5. for all we know the obstruction charge could be because she had deleted post on her facebook that someone had sent into LE thinking it proved her and her husbands guilt in heather's death.
beware the goberment and the gestapo police, peter, if anyone had posted a comment on your blog, and someone thought it was tammy that posted it, and thought it proved their guilt, and they sent that into LE.... but you deleted the post because it was made by an Anon, you could be charged with obstruction just as easily.
my point is, you all here might like the fact that she was arrested on these trumped up charges just so LE could gain access to their properties, but that could just as easily be you that they bully. you people should be alarmed and scared.

  6. due to the gnashing of teeth by the lynch mob, LE has went way beyond the scope of their duties for a case of a missing person where there is no sign of foul play, and in a way, invaded all of our rights as citizens. she should be listed as a run away and forgotten. next thing you know, LE will be kicking in doors all across america to see if she is in our homes.

    1. I think if Heather ran away she would have taken her car. She's 20, she probably hasn't walked anywhere since she got her license. I think its interesting you think people should forget about her though. Kind of heartless.

    2. I'd also like to add that I wouldn't mind if the police wanted to search my house or property if they were looking for a missing person, whether it be man, woman, or child.
Maybe the cops should look up your IP address.

  7. My guess is that the sex/indecent exposure charge is what videos revealed....probably in a store where LE had not looked previously. Once she opened her mouth and spoke of dressing rooms, LE pulled those videos, or store security turned them in.

Obstruction of justice - that could be anything. It could bring a sentence of a few months if it has to do with not reporting income. It could bring years if it has to do with a federal drug charge or withholding something in the Heather Elvis case.

Whatever it is...it means not seeing her children. It's pressure to talk. Since she is already charged, I'm betting they believe they have all the info they'll get from her for now.

  9. Skeod,
I do agree that LE will look for other charges to bring on a suspect when looking for evidence. It is a common LE practice.

You are missing two points, though.
    1. The charges are legit. LE has evidence of such.
    2. A search warrant must be exact. It must state exactly what LE is searching for and is only granted when there is a likely reason to believe item(s) will be found. If anything else is found of interest through a search, another search warrant must be obtained.

I do agree with your premise that LE is putting pressure on the Moorers, but it is in a legal manner. I would want and pray for the same if either of my daughters went missing and had a history with such a couple.

  10. He got the same charges as her so far....

  11. Sidney Moorer and Tammy Moorer were both charged with one count of Obstruction of Justice and Two counts of Indecent Exposure this morning. Additional charges are pending on both. The Horry County Police Department will update you when those additional charges are filed.

  12. So more charges pending for both....

  13. im sure the search warrant for the current charges included their computers and other electronic devices... including sex toys.... which gives them access to heather related communications and possible DNA evidence.

  14. Oh brother--I was right about LE bluffing and not having anything substantial (meaning pertaining to the case). LE did the right thing--the arrests allowed them to do thorough searches without either of them fleeing. I believe it is likely these 2 were involved in Heather's disappearance, although I am not convinced they were. However, LE needs to regard them as POIs and search everything. Will they find anything? My gut tells me no.

  15. I have a question that I've wondered about: You know how a cop came across Heather's car parked by Peachtree Landing? He ran the plate and found out it belonged to Terry Elvis. Is it normal procedure for a cop to drive to the car owner's house to ask them about the car? Keep in mind, there was no missing person's alert called in at this time. I feel like it would be more likely for the cop to either A) Call Terry to ask about the vehicle or B) Have it towed.

  16. And why would the cop ask him "Are you missing one of your cars?" Why wouldnt he say "Are you aware one of your cars is parked down at Peachtree Landing?"

  17. seems to me if moorers get themselves a half decent lawyer they can get some real leverage here -- has anybody ever actually gone to prison for sex in a dressing room? cops are clearly trying to get them for whatever they can find cause they suspect them of murder byt can't find theevidence. but a lawyer can point that out with ease -- and turn the tables pretty fast. it's a gamble worth taking for the cops -- but its no sure thing at the same time.

I really am not convinced the moorers did it. i don't know what al lthe evidence is -- maybe it's muh more damning than I realize -- but froim only the info i know -- I'd say it's suspicious as hell but not conclusive.

  18. there are a lot of crimes where multiple people had motive, but that doesn't mean they are the ones who acted.

  19. Anon @ 2:38--I agree that everything about the retrieval of the car was strange particularly since a cop had deemed the abandoned car to be important enough to show up at his door to let him know about it.
Anon @ 2:42--I agree that Terry might be taking a little creative liscense in retelling exactly what was said when the cop showed up. The next question the cop asks is based on his 1st question he asks though when he asks "What about a green Dodge Intrepid?" but still, we all tell and retell events and take some creative license.
However, this part in the narrative is odd, kind of like the "glitch in the matrix" where I feel like reality gets a little warped. I hope people will forgive me for my suspicious nature, but having grown up with a sociopathic parent I have seen firsthand a very skilled liar and know that the truly skilled ones are not easy to spot. I am troubled by Terry's statement that the day previous to the car being found "came and went without notice".

  20. Anon @ 5:18--I hear what you're saying. There is something weird about the cop showing up at the door, weird he said "Are you missing a car?" Weird he allowed Terry to drive it away. Weird he did not go to Heather's apartment to check if she was there.

  21. Anon @ 5:18--I believe you could be onto something. Something is very off about the cop's actions.

  22. Is it legal to film customers in a dressing room/booth? Has it been stated yet if video footage is from a dressing room, or is this speculation? Thanks.

  23. All the news articles say things like '2 arrested in connection to heather Elvis case'. So that leads me to conclude the police have more on the moorers than they are letting on.
