I don't know how to do live chat, but I have a question. Would "That's why" at the beginning of a sentence be the same as "because" and "so"? I think it would.

What I found strange was when she was on life support he was talking about her in past tense to the news. "She was" "She had" "She did" as if Amanda did not exist anymore. She wasn't even pronounced dead yet!
