“We want something great to come out of this but mostly we want him not to be found in that landfill.”

“We want him back in our arms, holding us. That’s what we want.”

“I’m here. I’ve been here every day since this. I’m not running and I’m not hiding. And if something does come up that I am at fault, I will take myself to that police station.”

They clearly should have gotten a lawyer.

“I'm not running and I'm not hiding and if something does come up that I'm at fault I will take myself to that police station.”

Her language is very concerning. She allows for the possibility that she is indicated in his(?) disappearance. I doubt she passes the polygraph.

Why would she go and "appreciate his memorial site" that statement bothers me a lot.

I came here to see Peters analysis and see it doesnt look like he's doing that stuff much anymore. Its a shame, his insights into these kind of cases was informative and appreciated. I hope someone picks up the ball and starts a youtube or pod cast in statement analysis seem over due. And if theybhave and im missing it please tell me where to look.

“It makes it hard to even process what’s going around us,” Leilani Simon told the news station.

“We get to the point where we have to barricade our own home in order to even feel safe in our backyard because we can’t even process what is happening everywhere else, or even have the time to do so.”

Is the use of “process” interesting? Twice makes it sensitive. It’s the protesters who make it hard to process what? - “what’s going around us”. But what is “going around them” besides the media and the protesters, right now?

They have to barricade their home to feel safe in their backyard BECAUSE they can’t process what is happening everywhere else, or even have the time to do so.

It doesn’t make much sense if she means it’s a mental process for which there is no time, as thoughts of Quinton, what has happened to him, the investigation, the landfill search, would surely be all consuming still - they wouldn’t need to find extra time to “do” such processing.

Maybe “process” comes from knowledge that the landfill waste is being processed for Quinton’s remains - but why do the protesters outside make it hard to “process what is going around us”?

I find it an interesting choice of word - she could have said, “I can’t hear myself think” or “they are adding to our distress” but the way she puts it makes it seem that the protesters are preventing Leilana from doing some processing of her own.

I agree , it’s a shame the blog isn’t as busy as before. Always insightful. Martin DeCoder on YouTube has excellent videos about statement analysis for anyone who needs more content.

Because I would be just as surprised as you would be, since I'm completely innocent. But in the case it turns out - obviously completely suprising to myself - that I'm guilty, I'm the first one at that police station! Ludicrous.
