Shawn Adkins has been indicted in the death of Hailey Dunn, 13.
One detail released was that Hailey was assaulted with a blunt instrument to her head. If accurate, this likely means the mask-wearing Adkins lost his temper.
We await more detail, including what Adkins will reveal about Hailey's mother, Billie Jean Dunn, who was deceptive, failed her polygraph, and hid Adkins from police. We are left with questions:
Will Adkins seek a plea deal, including testifying against Billie Jean Dunn?
What of the child pornography?
What of drug charges?
Sometimes prosecutors are able to leverage the multitude of charges (not the over-charging we see in politically infused cases) to obtain more information.

Imagine a male politician saying that any criticism against them is because those criticizing him want to have sex with him.
That is essentially what New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did this weekend when she shrugged off criticism of her trip to Florida during her state’s COVID crisis as “sexual frustration.”
But conservative commentator Candace Owens put an end to that when she said, as a heterosexual woman who has criticized the representative, she does not want to sleep with her.
She appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show where the host could barely stop himself from laughing at the idea.
“Listen, I saw this and I actually couldn’t believe my eyes and I tried to create a sober analysis of what made her tweet that, and by the way, it got worse,” she said. “She had a second tweet that said there are sexual frustrations that underpin Republicans’ critiques of me, their fixation on me, so she’s really actually creating a sexual narrative.”
Considering that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet came around the New Year’s holiday Owens speculated that the representative might have been drunk when she sent that tweet.
“I think alcohol loosens your inhibitions and I think that she was about ten margaritas deep in Miami enjoying the free state of Florida and she wrote something that was honestly just filth,” she said. “I mean, how bizarre and immature is it for any person, any person that wants to be taken seriously as an adult, to look at a fair critique of them as an elected official who has been barking about how Florida is doing every thing wrong, how that Ron DeSantis is, to see this critique it off her back well, you know what, you just want to sleep with me.”
She went on to assert that she is not sexually attracted to the 32-year-old representative.
“It’s so bratty and so immature and it’s so disgusting to even think about. And let me just say in case there’s any confusion,” she said. “I have a lot of critiques of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I’ve had a lot of critiques since the very beginning. No, Sandy, I do not want to sleep with you.”
On New Year’s Eve the representative accused Republicans of attacking her because they have “deranged sexual frustrations” and need “therapy.”
“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” she said in response to a tweet from former advisor to President Donald Trump, Steve Cortes.

FITSNews reports that sources close to the ongoing double homicide investigation have direct evidence tying Alex Murdaugh to the murders of his wife Maggie Murdaugh, 52, and their son Paul Murdaugh, 22. Both victims were found fatally shot on the wealthy family’s hunting lodge in Colleton County, South Carolina, on June 7. As previously reported, Paul and Maggie are believed to have been killed with different weapons. Alex Murdaugh first found the bodies, reportedly after returning from a visit to his ailing father in a hospital, and called 911.

The FITSNews report describes the evidence tying Alex Murdaugh to the crimes as “substantial and serious.” Citing unidentified sources close to the investigation, FITSNews reports that the lead investigating agency, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), may be close to making an arrest.
Alex Murdaugh is the only known person of interest in the double homicide investigation, and authorities have not yet named any suspects. Murdaugh’s lawyer has denied his involvement in public statements.
Murdaugh, 53, was arrested in October after a suffering a gunshot wound to the head that prosecutors now believe was a suicide-for-hire plot, intended to leave his surviving son with a $10 million insurance settlement. Murdaugh’s attorney said that his client had struggled with drug addiction following the deaths of his wife and son.

Flipping through the channels last night and came across a news show about Susan Powell's disappearance. It reminded me about poor Kyron Horman and of course Hailey Dunn. Glad to see this update. It appears at least one of the lost are getting some long awaited justice. Finally.
