Fake Hate: Upgraded Charges

calum

UPDATE:   Now CHARGED WITH FELONY
Original charges dropped for new, upgraded charges including  false police report.

The analysis is from June 2016

Calum McSwiggan claimed to be targeted for a "hate crime"  southern Hollywood.

Here is his statement, his statement analyzed, and the findings of the investigation.

I.  On instagram and face book, McSwiggan wrote:

“Last night was the worst night of my life and I’m really struggling to find the words to talk about it.  After one of the most wonderful weekends at VidCon we went out to a gay club to celebrate, and towards the end of the evening I was separated from my friends and beaten up by three guys.
“I’ve never felt so terrified to be a gay man in the public eye"

II.  The Analysis

It is so that our statements reveal us:

“Last night was the worst night of my life and I’m really struggling to find the words to talk about it.

Note the struggle is qualified with "really" as he posts it for the entire public to read.

After one of the most wonderful weekends at VidCon

where someone chooses to begin a statement is always important.  For him, it began with "really" struggling to find words, but this principle is also important to note where one begins the statement of an assault.

An assault is very 'unclose and personal' and the language will reveal this.  It is an invasion of personal space, and it is responded by extreme elevated hormones, impacting the victim and the victim's recall, later on.

Here we note that he begins first with the struggle for words, which he qualified, but then he moved to the element of "time" in his statement.

"After" what?

One of the most wonderful weekends...

This is to address not only how "wonderful" this particular weekend was, but to do so in comparison to other wonderful weekends, of which this is only "one" of such.

This is not something expected from a victim of a physical assault.

we went out to a gay club to celebrate,

Here the victim of an assault immediately moves from beginning his statement without the pronoun "I", ("last night") to the pronoun "I" used to describe a qualified verbal struggle, to "we" telling us:

a.  he was not alone
b.  what kind of club he went to
c.  why 'we' went to a club

This is a lot of information given to us before the assault and shows the priority of what was on his mind as he typed the statement.

Consider experiential knowledge in recall will be accompanied by the hormonal increase that imprinted the event upon the brain.  We look for, and expect, evidence of such.

and towards the end of the evening

Instead of telling us of the assault, the lengthening of time is given, further delaying the "main event" of an assault.

I was separated from my friends

Passive voice used:  "I was separated" avoids telling us the responsibility for how this separation took place and should, by itself, continue to cause the analyst pause as to the veracity of the statement.

and beaten up by three guys.

Note that he gave a lengthy delay, not only in the number of words or characters (letters) used, but in the quality of time passing.  He wants us to know, before he was assaulted:

1.  It was the worst night of his life
2.  He really struggles to find the words
3.  He had a wonderful weekend
4.  He has had a number of wonderful weekends
5.  He considers social media his way of "talking" about it
6.  He wants us to know where he went
7.  He wants us to know why he went there
8.  He tells us that he is thinking about what he did during this evening (another psychological delay)
9.  He wants us to know he was with others
10.  Then he wants us to know that he was not with others, but conceals how this separation took place

Finally, using passivity, "was beaten up by three guys."

By its form, the analyst should see it as "unreliable."
By its form and language, the analyst should see it as deceptive.

Then we have his 2nd reference to emotions; the first being the struggle to really find the words to talk, and now here, the words that follow being "beaten up" are his emotion.  This is the final clue that indicates deception:  the artificial placement of emotion:

I’ve never felt so terrified to be a gay man in the public eye"

Deception Indicated

Off topic more detail

An Ohio man accused of drowning his four-month-old daughter in a river while she was strapped in her car seat has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Clermont County's prosecutor says 24-year-old Charles Crawford pleaded no contest to an aggravated murder charge and was sentenced Friday in Batavia.

Authorities issued a statewide alert July 31 for Kaylynn Crawford after Charles Crawford told them she was abducted from his car outside a Dollar Tree in Loveland.

In the audio clip of the 911 call, Crawford can be heard bawling and saying: 'My child was taken. I wasn’t even gone for that long.'

A missing child notification was issued throughout Ohio and the state's Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI), along with the FBI and local police combed through the Kelley Nature Preserve about five miles away.

He told dispatchers that he went into the store while she was sleeping, and returned to the car after 'two or three minutes' to find she had disappeared.

Crawford initially reported that his daughter was kidnapped, but later changed his story and said he drowned her in a river

Police say Crawford led them to the body along the Little Miami River in Miami Township on August 1.

Authorities haven't commented on a motive. A message left for Crawford's attorney wasn't immediately returned.

According to a Hamilton County affidavit cited by FOX, Crawford threatened to stab a woman in the neck during a car ride in December.

He was charged with domestic violence and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Crawford agreed to attend anger management classes, according to court documents, but he failed to complete them and was on probation when he was arrested Monday.

@Anonymous 10:12 PM,

Maybe Peter is working with LE on the Carman case? Or he felt threatened and needed to take them down? I read that Nathan Carman's family members were so afraid of him that they have armed security guarding their homes. He is suspected of murdering his grandfather 3 years ago as well.

I'm beginning to wonder if any of these so called hate crimes are ever true. There certainly are quite a few that are not!

Hobbs, that story you posted above is horrific. I don't understand how anyone can hurt a defenseless infant. Horrific.

@ Boston Lady: Hate crimes really do happen. However, most victims of hate crimes don't try to exploit them for profit, same as victims of burglaries, sexual assault, etc. generally don't seek sympathy via social media nor donations on crowd-funding sites. For example, I am aware of an American citizen who was born in Iran way back when it was a US ally, whose family fled to the US after the Iranian revolution in 1979. His car was egged several times after he was elected to the City Council of the city where he lived. He reported the vandalism to the police but did not blog about it on social media or create a Kickstarter or Go Fund Me or other beg-for-money site. Normal people go on with their lives after having their car/house egged, or being stiffed for a tip, or if they detect "microaggressions" like someone looking at them too long or with an expression they don't like.

Oh really 10:58, I despise Hillary but how convenient the youtube video you posted edited out Hillary saying what Donald Trump said about Alicia Machado. Did you notice that? The part where Hillary tells Donald he called Alicia "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping" was conveniently edited out of your video when that is what the controversy was about! HE LOST MY VOTE OVER THAT. He did say that stuff, he doesnt deny it. He is infantile. He abused Alicia Machado calling her fat and ugly...oh gee talk about turning reality upsidedown...HE IS FAT AND UGLY AND SHE IS MISS UNIVERSE and she was NOT FAT EITHER. He is a loser who dehumanizes women, he is the type of man who I despise who has balls the size of raisins and tries to tear down beautiful women to puff himself up cause he's a one-dimensional loser who lnows how to make money but other than that has NOTHING TO OFFER IM SURE HES NEVER EVEN READ A NOVEL AND IS VERY CONVERSATIONALLY LIMITED. Men who prefer anorexic womem are normally latent homosexuals or just very unsensual, probably a nightmare in bed. HE LOST MY VOTE.

Gotta love the "poor me" hospital selfie. He's trying to make it look like he's hooked up to all sorts of wires for life support, when in reality it's just a typical 'ol blood pressure cuff and oxymeter, plus hospital gown. He's practically on the brink of death there (not).

Romans 1:29 talks about his kind: "Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, DECEIT, malignity; whisperers,"

Really? A felony? Give him a few weekends of picking up trash along the highway and move on.

BBC News Europe Sept 30. French school bullying deaths stirs intense debate. Whats so hard about ending school bullying? Punish the teachers who ignor it. Punish the administration that condones it. Harshly punish the bullies.

Is it a felony to make a false report of a crime? I wonder what's going to happen to him.

Anonymous said...

If report was not against specific individuals then shake him up alittle and drop it. Its minor.

I have a problem (it's just me), and I know it's just me. When I see the picture of that guy, and I see his name: Calum McSwiggan, I have instant involuntary reactions which I am not proud of. This is yet another reason I'm grateful we can post here anonymously, because the ability to post anon makes me feel totally free to say what I really think. OF course I know my instant and involuntary reactions are baseless and prejudice, same as any other vast sweeping instant judgements about anyone.

I don't agree that this matter should be dropped. This is a criminal matter and should be dealt with just like other false reports. These things are costly to the communities they occur in not only in dollars and time, but take away from efforts to address other issues. Maybe a bigger issue similar to my feelings about Rachel Dozel when she reported hate crimes that were baseless that only served to stir up tensions in her son's school. Trying to create division and hate is as bad as if it had already existed or was a crime occurring.
