The Murder of Amanda Blackburn: Analysis Conclusion

The murder of Amanda Blackburn resulted in no small amount of speculative interest across the country.

The murder, itself, was shocking:  a young, beautiful pregnant woman was murdered in her home.

As shocking as the brutal murder was, it was the victim's own husband who further shocked the public with his statements described as "crass", "cold", "unfeeling" "disinterested" but, for statement analysis, something quite different.

He responded publicly and repeatedly, in ways that shocked the public even further, perhaps, than the murder itself.

With his online videos, the public learned much about him including the basic fact that he is obsessed with numerical success and that his wife, Amanda, stood in the way of his success.  He even went as far as saying her initial pregnancy was a crisis for him and that she frequently complained that he was not spending time with her; but about his 'business' of getting numbers out to follow him.

His videos reveal talented theatrics and choreographed presentations, of which, just prior to her shooting, one with a prop gun waved around by him.

A week later, she was dead and his initial reaction was to capitalize on the advertising opportunity her death afforded him.

The public waited for him to show fear of the killers, if not for him, a man of 'great faith', than at least for his son or the neighborhood.

He did not.

The public waited for him to speak words of bereavement only to find his statements were made without even mentioning his wife's name.

There are those who have defended the husband, Davey Blackburn, emphatically due to loyalty to a specific faith, while there are others who have not simply responded with the known details of the case, but who attacked the defenders, projecting their own feelings about faith into the discussion.

Still, there is a dismissal of his words by claiming mental illness or psychological disturbance on his part; specifically delusional or narcissistic (the twain do not meet) use of the pronoun "we."

Its difficult to find many pictures of Amanda without Davey
This shows an acute lack of understanding of mental health issues commonly called 'schizophrenia', or disassociation, as well as a basic understanding of  narcissism within the talented.

The perfect storm comes together when narcissism, obsession, drive and talent meet historical or habitual deception.

We often say, "the liar is a murderer in training" due to the pragmatic world view where one lies to get what one wants and with lies that are successful, comes desensitization and increase in frequency and scope.  Hence, the liar puts himself and his own life above others, and unchecked, the end is murder...murder, if necessary for self.

This is also a bit of insight into why this type of profiling has low accuracy rating and isn't actively stood upon in the field of investigations.

Nothing shows the accuracy and success as the words that come out of a person's own mouth.  It is, in this sense, almost impossible to lie.  One may murder, one may commit arson, rape and other heinous crimes, but once a subject is in the free editing process, he will give it all away.

Statistical profiling, far more accurate, has been discarded due to politicians' exploitation of it.

Statement Analysis profiling recognizes that words reveal the speaker's:

Background
History
Priority
Personality

Studying Statement Analysis Profiling allows for precision; not vague declarations that cannot be stood firmly upon.

Editing Process

As the husband of victim, Amanda Blackburn recounts 'what happened', it is impossible for him to tell us everything, therefore, he must edit his account before producing words:

Of a vocabulary of more than 20,000 words, what words to choose;
where to place such words (syntax)
what tenses and pronouns to use
what order to place the information...

This takes place in less than a micro-second in time and reveals:

The speaker's background information, including sex, age, etc,
his experiences in life;
his priority in the account, and lastly,

his personality.

To dismiss his use of the pronoun "we", for example, rather than viewing what context produces "we" and what context produces "I" is to show an intense misunderstanding of both human nature and basic  communication, making 'profiling' an undisciplined work akin to 'psychic' guessing. Even the most extreme narcissist who do speak of themselves, in the second person, for example, are noted as all others are:  baseline reference point.  Even in behavioral profiling, norms are established just as it is for statement analysis (or even body language analysis).  If narcissism produces "we", under what context is it seen, and under what context is it abandoned?  This is to establish context within analysis.

To claim that a public speaker is so mentally ill or so narcissistic as to be incapable of separating himself from Divinity in using the pronoun "we" instead of "I" is not only to not understand mental illness, narcissism, context and baseline pattern, but it is to not understand that Blackburn is an educated and talented public speaker who principally relies upon persuasion.  For those of faith, this point is even stronger:  his psycho-sexual religious ideology is, at heart, pragmatic.  If numbers come, it is positive.  If numbers do not come, it is negative.

Next, the conclusions here are not simply analysis of the words, but behavioral analysis, both pre and post crime.  The opinions expressed here particularly in this regard, comes from more than one dozen professionals, including those with decades experience in homicide investigation, ranging from local, state and federal law enforcement, to the professionals within psychology and communication.  The representation of the opinion is singular; as the elements were all agreed upon, after much analytical work and discussion.

The source of information is public record.  No cases assisted upon are published in the Statement Analysis blog.

Narrative

Amanda Blackburn was sexually assaulted and murdered when a gang of young black males entered her home while her husband was not inside the house, but  at the gym, en route to or from the gym, or in his driveway.  With this evidence, police quickly cleared Davey Blackburn as a suspect.  As the analysis will show, this immediate clearance of the husband was not warranted, nor wise.  The pressure of publicity also cannot be ignored.  The sexual assault classification is due to the position of her clothing in the murder.

Amanda Blackburn was pregnant, married to Davey Blackburn, pastoring a church in which emphasis is incessantly placed upon pop psychology "success" driven agenda of populating the church.

Statistically, when a pregnant woman is murdered, the male partner (husband, boyfriend, ex) is the most likely one responsible.

Analytical Questions:

Since the murderers are now caught, the analysis seeks to learn whether or not the victim's husband had any knowledge of what happened to Amanda, which can range from facilitating the murder, down to knowledge that his home was to be entered that morning for nefarious reasons.  Therefore, the question is not singular, though "guilty knowledge" is sought to be discerned.

Behavioral Analysis

Behavioral analysis simply looks at the behavior of a subject (D. Blackburn) before, during and after the homicide.

Did the subject show any signals of anticipation before the crime?
Did the subject show signals of benefiting from the crime?  In domestic homicides, behavioral analysis seeks to learn the quality of the relationship, whether there was infidelity, or whether divorce was an undesirable alternative.
Did the subject show any signals of knowledge, via behavior, that would cause him to, for example, not fear reprisal upon his son's life, or his own?

We look, in particular, for 'stressors' or unusual and straining circumstances that can precede domestic homicide.

Statement Analysis

Statement Analysis is the most effective way of discerning truth from deception, exceeding that of the polygraph, voice stress analyzer, and all other means currently employed.  In this case, statements made both before and after the homicide are examined to learn whether or not an answer to the analytical questions can be obtained. Would Blackburn's statements reveal someone with some form of knowledge of the crime?

I. Life Prior to the Homicide

Much is learned in viewing the unusual circumstances in the life of Davey Blackburn prior to the murder of his wife.  Due to this circumstances, much sample is available online, including both video and written statements.  His connection to Perry Noble also has provided a great deal of information.

Readers who are interested in understanding the conclusion of the analysis should simply search on this blog for the many articles with analysis on the case.

What do we know from this background?

1.  Deception

We know that Blackburn had serious issues growing up.  Those who understand the origin of deviancy know that those who fabricate reality for their own advantage are either properly taught in early childhood, or they are not and even those who claim strong religious crisis experience, later realize that personality traits in childhood are very difficult to over come. Children are born liars and those who are not taught, no matter the reason for the negligence of duty, will become habitual liars and it is their success in lying that will determine how much damage they do in society.  The greater the intellect of the deceiver, often the greater the damage, or, in the least, the propensity for damage.

A Biblical example of such is the thief.  The cultural mandate was "thou shalt not steal" which was prescribed to be taught at a very early age, repeatedly, along with negative consequences for such.  Yet, what does the Bible say about the adult thief, who now wishes to amend his ways?

Carefully consider what this highlights in human nature:

For the adult, the directive is to "steal no more" (inner repentance) but a natural remedy was also prescribed to combat the habitual selfishness behind theft:  "let him that stole, steal no more, but work willingly with his own hands, to give to others..."

Those who took that which belonged to others had to not only internally change (no more theft and a change of attitude) but the practical application was that he now had to give money away to others.  This is a powerful antidote to theft and that it is not compulsory is even more fascinating.  Will someone who has only sought to benefit self not only be able to overcome this habit, but actually deny self satisfaction, and give to others?

It is a good reminder how personality patterns (lying and stealing are cousins; both are forms of theft with lying the passing of false communicative currency) are near impossible to overcome and take special remedy.

Statistically, those who fabricate reality will grow in the desensitization process right up to falsely testifying in capital crimes to murder.  As Cindy Anthony put it, "just because someone tells a few mis truths, doesn't make them a killer..." in reference to her killer daughter, Casey Anthony, who felt that her daughter was getting too much attention and getting in the way of her social life, so she killed her.

Just like that.

That Casey was known to fabricate reality from childhood, including lying when no lie was even needed, was not lost on the public; only the jury, who, perhaps, hoped for their own cashing in on infamy.

Those who are not properly corrected at a very early age, pose a serious risk for offenses against society later.  Thus the study of criminals and human empathy.

Those in prison, like those law abiding, were both told,

"Do not hit your sister!" but the criminals lacked something that the law abiding was given:  human empathy.

"Don't hit your sister, it hurts her."

It is within these early life lessons that language speaks and habits of speech formed.

Blackburn self reported that he lied so severely in high school that it caused everyone in his life, from peers to faculty, to turn on him.  The lie itself, by the reaction, was antisocial  For trouble makers, generally peers or authority will turn against them, but not both.  The lie was destructive and in the minds of many, likely "unforgivable."  What he did was to put himself above all others, and benefit in a way that would come through the destruction of at least one other person.

That it happened, not at age 6, but as a teen, is alarming.  It is a strong signal of the narcissism that was to become on full display for audiences via his video taping of himself.

Pop Entertaining Psychology Positive Thinking Meets  post MTV sexuality, Marries Religious Belief Captured on Video

Blackburn's belief system is best viewed through his own words, rather than that of historic Christianity.  His adulation of Perry Noble, and his insatiable desire to satisfy himself are only slightly hidden beneath the arch of religion.  Religious structure is a medium of which he can fulfill his ambitions.

This means Christianity must be subordinated to self, rather than self subordinating to principle.

2.  Narcissistic Behavior

Prior to the murder of Amanda, we were able to view video tapes of Davey Blackburn in which the narcissism was readily discerned.  The videos (and statements) show that within his personality there is a desire to place himself above all others.  Linguistically, he placed himself above others, beginning first with his wife, which would eventually place himself equal to and even above, Divinity.

The narcissism sometimes revealed itself in insulting ways towards the murder victim, herself.  His discomfort at 'sharing the spotlight' with her showed itself in subtle ways, from correcting her to minimizing her.

In Statement Analysis, we look for small, subtle ways in which the mind of the subject reveals itself linguistically, by justifying the death.  This can range from "well, the baby would not stop crying" (blaming the child for being shaken) to

'Amanda died so the church would live' statement in which Amanda was the "sacrifice" who "gave her life" for the "church."

Blackburn took this one even further:  he claimed that he and "God" actually discussed this where God "asks" Blackburn if he would have chosen to give up Amanda for the "church."

This puts the arbitration, even in hindsight, as to whether Amanda lives or dies, with Blackburn, himself.  This makes it much more than a "justification" for her death.

3.  Ambition

Blackburn was open about his ambitions and his own description of what "success" is within his personal subjective dictionary.  His ambitious nature was such that he was incapable of masquerading it, even shortly after Amanda's murder.  While mankind grieves, he was busy counting numbers, seemingly unaware of how this might appear as crass, commercialism or profiteering.  Even the 'sleaziest' of politicians put a thin veil over opportunistic exposure.  Blackburn showed a complete lack of self awareness but when publicly commented upon, he quickly retreated to religious argument.

In one short video well before the murder, he was seen berating his followers for their failure to fulfill his self imposted numeric account for new followers.  (This was one of the first video examples where, when his emotion increased, he used the pronoun "I" making his statement quite strong as he castigated them).  Remember, this was "their failure" to bring people; not 'Davey's failure' to attract the numerical figure.

We take careful note of those who refuse to accept responsibility for their actions, linguistically, by distancing language, including the use of the pronoun "we" when only "I" is appropriate.

Ambition coupled with habitual deception yields danger.

4.   Sexuality

Observed his mentor, Perry Noble, "something" was "not right" about Blackburn, and the remedy, according to Noble, to fix this was a female.

Blackburn showed an obsession with convincing his audience that he had a powerful heterosexual drive.  In this, he indicated his wife for failure and his own obsession to the point where he described himself in capable of having conversation at dinner unless he first used his wife to satisfy himself sexually.

This "need to persuade" that his sex drive was heterosexual (he links it continually to his wife) and not same sex attraction (SSA) was further evidenced in his clothing and appearance.  Even shifting a reference point from Christianity as seen in most Protestantism, he bearing in the videos showed the need to accent his physical attributes, with the use of, for example, tight fitting clothing.  Commenting on the videos, many people said that they were difficult to watch for very long,  as he used choreographed body language as an entertainer.

Behavioral Analysis

Post Crime

As we examine points one and two, I have included a specific commentary on Christianity due to the 'defense' of Blackburn's behavior and words being ascribed to "faith."

1.  No fear of killers.  The husband who's wife and pre born child were murdered in a home invasion showed no fear of the killers, for either himself, or even for his son.

2.  Focus upon exploitation and profiteering rather than grieving.

This is unnatural and regarding faith, consider that the Bible does not promise, nor teach that the Christian life, on earth, suspends human emotions, which include fears, anxieties, disappointments, grieving, and so on.  In Christ, we are given written examples of Christ weeping over Jerusalem, a city that He knew would be destroyed by Rome in just a generation, as well as other such examples.

This "hyper faith" movement is not new and the popular 'emotion' over reason is within the Church and in secular culture.

A home invasion is a traumatic event and this will produce both hormonal reaction and revelation within speech.

A murder is even more traumatic.

A close-relative (spouse/ the "one person") murder increases this;

A child murdered, on top of the other elements, is severe.

To not react to such, but to show not "courage" but apathy, towards the still on-the-loose killers, in a "complete mystery"
of "why were we targeted" will produce profound fear and activity, including protection of his son.

The lack of concern of the perpetrators for himself and his son suggests knowledge that he and his son would not be targeted.

Consider:  those who simply believe that Blackburn was set free from his marriage, something he clearly showed hindered him from his goal (numerical success; pragmatism) must consider that one so driven on numerical success would, yes, be relieved of the burden of his wife, whom he complained about openly, but would still be concerned that his own success would be hindered by the gang members coming back for him.

3.  Equal or above Divinity, Authority over others, including father in law shows the union between a very troubled deceptive narcissistic personality and religion, which is now met with a showman's talent.

The videos reveal confident strut, choreographed body posture and facial expressions, and a command of the English language.

Not only are pronouns instinctive in the English language (therefore, 100% accuracy rate) but consider the subject, himself, as a talented public speaker.

These points are all covered in the various entries of analysis, in particular, his words that brought these conclusions.  Please see individual entries for deeper understanding.

4.  Linguistic Indicators of Guilt

These are dealt with in more depth in other articles.  I have taken a team of top analysts in the country through the statements, carefully, and the conclusion has been the same:

Linguistic indicators of guilty knowledge of the crime.

What was the first thing he said to the public after finding his wife murdered and the perpetrator (s) at large?

“It’s impossible to communicate all the emotions my heart has been forced to process. My wife was such a beautiful, gracious, loving woman of God. I have not only lost my ministry partner and support, but also my very best friend. There is no way to prepare yourself for circumstances like these. As deeply as I am hurting, I am hopeful and confident that good things will come of this. I rest in the truth of Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.
“Amanda made it her life’s calling to love and serve everyone she knew. Even more, she has made it her life’s mission to see as many people as possible come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.”
“I know that in her death and legacy even more people will come to a saving faith in Christ. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt her desire for me would be to continue what we’ve started here in Indy. I hold firm to the belief that God is still good, that He takes our tragedy and turns it into triumph, and that the best truly is yet to come.”

If you go back to the original analysis, you will see that this is very concerning.  He does not mention Amanda by name, which is distancing language at a time where the most closeness in language is expected.  This shocked analysts, initially, who could not grasp how a man could so quickly 'move on' from this murder and how he could make a statement without her name.  That he turned to sloganism so quickly was just the tip of a very ugly ice berg.

He went on a TV circuit and continued to avoid using her name; instead turning it into an advertising campaign for himself.  Those of you that understand somewhat of Statement Analysis and repetition cannot help but note his focus:

DB: Oh my gosh, I wish I could tell the world everything about her, I wish I had the time to but, um, I think what I would really want the world to know is that she loved Jesus with her whole heart. And she loved people, and she spent her life pouring her life out to people. She served people, she uh, loved the people that were unloveable, gave hope to people who um, didn’t have hope, didn’t think they had a future, and um, she just absolutely gave everything she had to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Note:  "people" as in numbers within the crowd...Recall that mere days after the brutal murder he was able to recall the specific number of "people" who 'attended' his business via the internet.

He went on to pushing for numbers for her "Christian memorial service", which, itself, was shocking as it was not Christian, and it was not a memorial for Amanda, but its focus was "sex" and Davey Blackburn, himself, with bizarre rambling from his mentor, Perry Noble, not discussing the Resurrection of Christ, but "Davey's good looks."

On Television, he was asked 'Who did this?" and "Why?"  His answer was not challenging for analysts:

CD: Um, ya know, the ah investigators um, haven’t given me ah, a, ton of details that um, they’ve given me the details that they’ve released to, to the public as well, an, an so we, we’ve been really tryin’ to do over the past week is um, is, is, kinda figure out , we, ya know, how to grieve the loss an, an how to, how to move forward from here an how to work thru all of this , it’s devastating to the family an , and um, ya know the fu, funeral this past Sunday was just an amazing celebration of, of her life an, we just um, we were so grateful for, for friends and family comin’ to show support, and the nation um, there were over 6500 people tuned in across the world um, and, and, what was so great about Amanda is she was so selfless, that she didn’t want here life to be put on display ever, but she wanted Jesus to be put on display. We feel like that’s what happened at the celebration service, that Jesus was lifted up and people’s lives have been changed because of that.

The use of the pronoun "we" is not, by this talented and highly manipulative public speaker, a 'narcissistic slip' nor is it indicative of mental disorder.  Even as he equates himself with Divinity, he does so for the purpose of usurping authority over others, for his personal gain.  His short speech at his father-in-law's church should be read to be believed.

Grieving.

"We" have to figure out how to grieve; not "I" which is not expected under any circumstances.

"We" did not lose a wife.  "We" did not lose a child.  The marriage is between him and Amanda; no one else; and they were "one flesh", as one 'person.'  There is no more of an "personal" intrusion into this than murder.

Investigators must learn why he, himself, does not have to "figure out" how to grieve.  If he was just relieved from a burdensome marriage that hindered his narcissistic goal, why did he show no concern for himself, his son, or even the public at large from the killers?

"For uswe have nothing to hideis probably the single clearest point in his language that Davey Blackburn not only has something to hide, but will not stand alone, psychologically, due to intense guilt.

What is often missed in this guilty formed statement is the following:

He asserts that "for us" they have nothing to hide.  While focusing upon the plural, the comparative phrase should not be missed:

This statement  recognizes that he knows of someone else (likely plural, as well)  that does have something to hide.

Where did he get this knowledge from?

We have seen repeatedly the issue of sexuality from this habitual liar.  We then had the psychologically revealing "meeting with God" where he was both naked and in the shower.

This is akin to sexuality and the need for cleansing.

To dismiss him as mentally ill because he believes God had a talk with him while naked in the shower is to also fall prey to his deception:  this statement was purposeful to both his father-in-law, and to the audience, of whom, if the "history making" movement, of which he is front and center, does not come to pass:  they would be faulted; not him.

This is the same thing as "for us, we have nothing to hide" whether coming from him or coming from a 2nd grader home from school after seeking to share guilt.

Here, Blackburn affirms that he has knowledge that others have something to hide, even as he, himself does, and what he hides, he cannot bear being alone to be responsible for.

Conclusion:

The police should have polygraphed Davey Blackburn regarding knowledge of the crime that took place in which Amanda Blackburn and her pre born child lost their lives.

Blackburn's repeated statements reveal narcissism, strong intellect, deception, manipulation, and to this, analysis of his behavior agrees.  The investigatory interview would be a long wrestling match in which the interviewer must have a strong understanding of the Bible, which Blackburn will use to defend himself.

He is a master showman, above average intellect, with habitual patterns of deception, along with a history of success.  He is sexually confused and his need to repeatedly affirm his heterosexuality suggests some elements of same sex attraction.  Should he ever face scrutiny and the tide turn against him, he would likely seek to capitalize on the political atmosphere regarding sexuality.

Blackburn gives verbal indication that not only he was free from the burden of marriage and pregnancy, but that he had no concern for himself, his son, his home, nor the neighborhood at large, that the criminals would return.

His delay of almost 40 minutes sitting in his driveway is critical.  By someone who's life and words are so ordered and neat, this, too, was not by accident nor chance.  Listen to the words his best friend said at the "memorial" service.  He and Perry Noble, both, expressed doubts and "something" that was wrong with Blackburn. Don't think these things are completely lost upon Amanda Blackburn's family. These are the things that haunt victims' close relatives long after the media blitz has gone away.

Blackburn chides father-in-law for his dead church

Everything within his public statements agrees with guilty knowledge of what happened to his wife.  That he 'corrected' his statements, later on, due to the shock from the public, only shows his awareness of his settings.

1.  When a pregnant woman is murdered, statistics point to the male (husband).

2.  The husband is obsessed with success.
3.  The husband said his wife and pregnancy hindered his success.
4.  The husband was, in a single day, free of both.
5.  The husband showed no concern for the brutal criminals on the loose.
6.  The husband showed only concern for his business success.
7.  The husband's statements show deception and guilt.

As one 30 year veteran of homicide investigations said,

"No one is this lucky."

Davey Blackburn gives indicators of guilty knowledge of the crime committed against his wife and pre born child.

Davey Blackburn has been cleared by investigators and is not considered a suspect, including as an accessory to this crime, by any known law enforcement entity.  The opinions here are only those of my own, as all are judicially innocent unless found otherwise in a court of law.

When one speaks publicly, it is presupposed that the audience will choose to believe him, or not to believe him.

I do not believe him.  Hiding a poor marriage, hiding same sex attraction, hiding various crimes and misdemeanors, and so on, will not exempt one from the intense fear of the unknown brutal killers on the loose.  Blackburn's indifference is well noted.

Statement Analysis analyzes what one says...
and what one does not say.   Training is key.

As the facade around his mentor came down, so it may with Blackburn as the "tell tale heart" beats with much strength of youth to resist it, and as his mentor found, being drunk on one's own success, too, will difficult to withstand.  Truth has a way of coming out...even if it takes a long time.

Is d blackburn related to Tennessee state Rep Marsha Blackburn & Chuck Blackburn?

It's really hard for me to watch the video of Davey with Amanda's family. I am in agreement with the SA conclusion that Davey had foreknowledge of this crime. Peter even wrote on his FB comments "He shows guilty knowledge that his home was targeted, including the specific date and time." On the stage, the family shares grief with the word "I". Davey preaches and uses the word "you" when talking about dealing with the grief. The contrast is striking. His family cries, the mom and sister barely able to complete a sentence without tears. Davey preaches and spits out scripture with no emotion. Believing he is involved up there on stage with those who loved her most, makes me sick to my stomach.

You just helped some of us understand what is meant by guilty knowledge. Foreknowledge of the crime.

Bingo, didn't you say the other day you think Davey shot Amanda? That's not exactly in agreement with Peter's conclusion, is it?

I watched up until the last few minutes of part 1. What struck me the most was Davey's reliance on aphorisms, memorized phrases that evangelicals have regurgitated for decades, and stock bible stories and verses. He doesn't expose his heart the way he has asked of Amanda's family. I think he has borrowed Amber's grief for his own. He seems to have mirrored her process, even possibly borrowed her descriptions of grief. He has had his whole life to study and mimic what a pastor says and does, and is able to pull it off well enough to convince those close to him, but I'm not buying his cliches. It's all too tidy.

To respond to the section where Davey addresses bloggers, I hope he realizes that justice and truth are love. Love is willing the good of others. The best that could happen for Davey is to serve justice here on earth, to the point of repentance, so that he can be happy with God in the next.

Anon, what does it matter whether he killed her or he had her killed? It is still murder. I think the murder sounds personal as it was execution style. Nic and I went back and forth with a theory (and many others think this could possibly fit) that Davey shot her and had the guys come to the house unsuspecting, thinking they were just there for a robbery. Some of us think Larry was to take the fall as he was left at the house for some odd reason. He was left there to carry out the shooting or left there to take the fall. But those are just theories that we decided to discuss. I lean toward Davey actually killing her but the only true conclusion we can draw is from Davey's statements. His statements according to Peter, the SA expert who I don't believe has ever gotten it wrong, spell out foreknowledge of the murder. The rest of us are just discussing and speculating and we know that.

Mom2Many, very good post. Davey seems to be just going from brain memory not heart when throwing out verses. Such a contrast to the rest of the family. He talks about crying a lot but I have never seen him even get a bit teary eyed. Her family can barely get through a sentence without crying. Heartbreaking. If SA proves to be right and Davey is found to be involved, this will just be another huge blow for this family. I wish the police could've been more thorough in the beginning. This will either never come out and he will get away with what many think was involvement in her murder or something will be discovered. This will be like Amanda being murdered all over for the family.

I agree with your thoughts and, as you said, though we may not know the details of Amanda's murder,
we know from Davey's own words as examined by Statement Analysis that he is not the innocent,
Amanda-loving husband/pastor he would have us believe.

As much as I would hate to see Amanda's family suffer and as much as I would not want to see the Blackburns
get to raise Weston, I hope and pray that Davey is investigated and outed before another sweet
young woman has to die. We need only look at Drew Peterson to see that wife-hating men of his ilk are
empowered by escaping justice and they repeat their deeds. And I think the obvious stepping-up-of-the-steroids
in Davey's case will hasten that.

If nothing else, I hope word of Peter's conclusive Statement Analysis reaches the greater public and that
this faux "ministry" of Davey's is cut short. I believe that will happen and the "churches" who have Davey
as the latest sideshow will look back in shame that they spent their members' money to finance his fancy
lifestyle.

The thing of which we can be sure is that Davey will keep on talking and the marbles will leak. I don't
think we've seen the last SA of Davey Blackburn.
I still especially look forward to the cherry on top: that 911 tape!

I think Davey has Borderline Personality Disorder. Which is why he's incapable of empathy, & can't open up from the heart. It is why he "borrows" Amber's grief.

I find it interesting that Davey, whilst making a point of dismissing Christian bloggers as non-Christians and 'hurt people who hurt people' did not also take that timely opportunity to say that despite some bloggers' opinions/claims/conclusions he was obviously not involved with Amanda's murder, or with the people accused of the crime, and it was as much a shock to him as to anyone else.

I don't think it's a case of not wishing to lower himself to address what is written online, as he has spoken of blogs/bloggers several times - he has already 'lowered himself' in acknowledging them, so why does he not also simply say they are wrong, and that he had no involvement in, or knowledge of, what was going to happen to Amanda. He could so easily address the 'rumours' rather than the perceived failures of those who are struck by his odd behaviour and who find it, and him, suspicious. He tries to account for it 'he had no idea' people had been in his house, that Amanda was shot - 'people grieve differently' - etc, but nowhere does he say what people suspect him of, and that they are wrong in their suspicions - to him they are just wrong in questioning him, therefore do not love Jesus, and 'hurt people' because they are hurt. He doesn't acknowledge that there are any valid questions concerning him, or his behaviour.

---

Amanda's family is so gracious, loving and strong. Davey doesn't remain standing for them as they come on stage, which says a lot, (such as he didn't and doesn't deserve to be in their family, IMO, and that Amanda was too good for him). They are kind and gracious people, whose reliance upon God is true - such a contrast to Davey, who is a showman selling religion. I think they keep going so graciously with graceless Davey because their faith in God is strong, regardless of how little or how much faith they each might also have in Davey.

Harking back - Davey didn't need to explain that he had grabbed his gym clothes and/or bag when he left for the gym - unnecessary information; if you go to the gym it's a given you take or are wearing gym clothes. I would like to know what clothes, or what else. really might have been in the gym bag.

Does anyone know if the computer and books which the intruders stole (according to the affidavit) were recovered?
Did they admit that they stole a computer and books?

You know what? Whoever accused me of gay-shaming should reread what I wrote. I was shaming downlow gay men...I'm sorry do they not deserved to be shamed? Is that a big no-no especially on this thread where others keep pointing out Davey is a downlow gay man who KILLED his wife.

Gay men shame themselves. The MAJORITY of gay men live a disgusting lifestyle which has NOTHING to do with sharing love with a partner in a committed relationship. They post DISGUSTING ads online, they sleep with hundreds if not thousands of men in bathroom stalls, they speak of each other and themselves in repulsive ways. They find heterosexual sex disgusting yet present the double-standard that heteros are supposed to NOT find their sex life disgusting?! I don't give a shit what they do with another consenting adult if I don't know about it, if it's not being shoved in my face through a gay parade or whatever.

I also have noticed that gay people seem to be composed of 2 groups: one group consist of insecure, often anorexic, very depressed men who seem to be the "victims" or "submissives" (mentally at least) to the more confident predatorial men. The predatorial group freaks me out because I dont trust that they would not prey on children, and that is how I feel, I don't care how politically incorrect it is. Take the Catholic church priest scandal: How come noone has ever explained exactly WHAT the molesting priests were? Weren't they gay?????? What was one out a thousand priest molesters preying on young girls or women? The rest were gay right?!?! Yet noone is supposed to wonder if there is a link between being gay and being a molester?

Also, how come gay men seen to be so good at lying and sociopathically "pretending" they are something they are not? Like statistically, there seem to be VAST numbers pretending they are straight and living a straight life with a wife and kids. That is really a HUGE act to put on, and meanwhile they are on the downlow. Is that not sociopathic? Just like large numbers pretended they were holy priests and meanwhile they were molesting large numbers of children.

How about someone explains all that. I do feel sympathy for some gay men...I think some for whatever reason have extremely low self-esteem and are essentially the "prey" for the overwhelming number of "predatorial" gay men. The low self-esteem group have probably been abused in some way or something and they are not bad people. The rest of them? I really wonder what their deal is.

As far as gay shaming...gay men do it to themselves. They really do. I don't even understand how something that people fear happening to them in prison is something gay men think is "love". That is my opinion, an opinion I am allowed to have. Gay people can go live their life...I don't have to like it or think it's great, it's really none of my business unless it comes up in a case like this where a downlow gay kills his wife or if it's shoved in my face through some other means like a gay parade.

Tried means attempted but failed. So, apparently they DID NOT(?) steal anything but ULTIMATELY killed Amanda.

And why the hell do gay men have such an overwhelming need for straight people to think their lifestyle is great or wonderful? Maybe because it's not great and they know it. I've never heard of a hetero person campaigning or insisting other people tell them that it's great to be a heterosexual.

Why don't gay people explain their rampant deception? It's one thing if they don't feel tolerated by society, it's quite another to have the psychological ability and lack of conscience to make their whole life an act (here I am referring to downlow men). Does that not suggest a link between sociopathy and gayness? I think it does and that is my opinion. I don't think it's any coincidence in this case that Davey (who seems to be sociopathic and lack a conscience) was living a downlow gay life.

I have so many questions I hope will be answered at trial. I am going from memory, so please correct any items that misconstrue what is in the PC. I'm unable to reference it at the moment.

LT is reportedly caught on camera on the Blackburns porch.
1. Does the camera capture Davey leaving for the gym?
2. Does Davey have a gym bag, any additional bag, a bag that does not look like a gym bag, but could be claimed to have contained clothing?
3. Does the camera capture LT entering the Blackburn residence? (that might be in the PC, please let me know)
4. Does the camera capture LT leaving the residence with the card(s) to give to his cohorts? Does he have a bag?
5. Does the camera capture him entering again?
6. Does the camera capture him leaving again, and with or without a bag?
7. Does the camera capture Davey arriving home, sitting in his car, and the time of his entry into the residence?
8. From what I recall of the photos released of the suspect after the murder, he was not carrying a bag. Could it have been hidden under the hoodie/jacket?
9. If the camera captured the sequence of entry and exits outlined above, why does the PC statement rely so heavily on third-party, non-eye witness testimony to arrest LT as the shooter?
10. Will that testimony be used at trial? It doesn't seem to pass the test for admissibility.
11. If it can't be used at trial, why is it enough for PC?

Thanks, Bobcat - I don't understand Count V - (Theft) in the PC document. It says Larry Taylor 'exerted control' over the property - blue bag containing a Mac laptop and books. It doesn't say he stole them, yet it is classed as 'Theft'.

Count VI - he 'did knowingly take property, to wit; bank cards'.

So, does that mean the Mac and books didn't leave the property? I don't know what 'exert control' means in that context.

The affidavit does not establish attribution for the account of what was stolen from the Blackburn residence, but it follows that Davey is the only one who would have known for sure.

We have more information from Lt. Riddle in a followup interview on Thursday of that week:
http://www.wthr.com/story/30500485/a...-home-invasion

Lt. Richard Riddle with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department spoke with WTHR about the case.

"Obviously our detectives were back out there last night following up with that case and looking for any more evidence that we can find about that case," he said, regarding the second visit IMPD made to the home.

He said IMPD is looking into whether or not the fatal home invasion is linked to other burglaries in the area. A burglary occurred in the same area earlier that morning.

Detectives will be looking into any possible surveillance video that could help them make a break in the case.

"I don't know about specific video in that neighborhood. I know if anyone has any surveillance video we would certainly like look for it, look through it and see if there is anything suspicious on it that we can use for this particular case," said Lt. Riddle.

Lt. Riddle says detectives are working with Davey Blackburn, Amanda's husband, to determine what was taken.

"I know our detectives are working with the husband to figure out exactly what may have been taken and would lead us down a path of further investigation to see if we can find the killers," he said.

Good catch.

I believe the difference between "taking ... by force" and "exerting control over the property of" is the distinction between robbery and theft. (The language "exerting control over" is used in context of all of the items stolen from the other residences, irregardless of whether the owners were absent, or in the home sleeping).

The credit cards were taken by force from Amanda.

Why would "taken by force" not also apply to the Blackburn's Macbook?

Thanks, CJ. I don't know why it would not also apply to the MacBook - it's difficult to figure it out.

I have looked it up:

http://definitions.uslegal.com/t/theft/

'Theft Law and Legal Definition

Generally, a person commits the crime of theft of property if he or she:

Knowingly obtains or exerts unauthorized control over the property of another, with intent to deprive the owner of his or her property;
Knowingly obtains by deception control over the property of another, with intent to deprive the owner of his or her property; or
Knowingly obtains or exerts control over property in the custody of a law enforcement agency which was explicitly represented to the person by an agent of the law enforcement agency as being stolen.
Without proof of intent to deprive, no criminal act has occurred. There must be an element of dishonesty which may be revealed from the words or actions of the perpetrator. In California, the Supreme Court has held that proof that a defendant intended to take property only temporarily, but for so extended a period of time as to deprive the owner of a major portion of its value or enjoyment, satisfies the intent element of a theft prosecution in California.'

(There's more, that just seemed the relevant bit.)

You have to read the whole blurb (in the affidavit) about the bank card to understand the difference. The bank card was taken "by using force or threatening the use of force."

Notice that the things stolen from Becker and Searsbrook are worded the same way as the Blackburn's stolen laptop. Those items were not taken by force or threat of force but were indeed stolen.

Also, Davey, please explain why the two thugs that took her ATM card drove 30 minutes and passed 40+ closer ATMs to use the ATM that is the closest Chase ATM to Resonate "Church" (school gym). That little tidbit has always stood out to me as being more deliberate than coincidental.
________________________________________

Good question Carnival Barker! I really hadn't considered that, outside of mapping driving times. Perhaps Watson and Gordon were more familiar or comfortable in that neighborhood. Were they instructed to use the 1st ATM and when that attempt failed, were they then directed to the one near the Resonate/School? If so, by whom? Was that an ATM that Davey used/used often? If so, would he be familiar with the "traffic patterns" surrounding the ATM location (vehicular or foot traffic)? Things that LE should have asked/be asking: Who chose the 1st ATM- how/why? The 2nd ATM? How/why?

Can someone please explain to me why Tuesdays being Davey's long day has anything to do with Amanda's murder? Every time he tells his story, he begins with the "Tuesdays are usually my long days...". In the Levi Lusko Fresh Church interview though, he does say "Tuesdays usually were my long days...."

What bearing does that have on getting up early? On going to the gym? On Amanda being murdered? Yet, he keeps repeating it as though it somehow explains him being up early, going to the gym, coming home, and his murdered wife. It's almost like he needs to justify being gone first and yet his excuse "it's my long day", tells us nothing. He doesn't even tick off the day, detailing why it's his long day. It's an unsupported, unnecessary (to us) statement. But it is necessary to him and it's first priority every time he "shares his story".

Millions use "dating" apps that locate the nearest gay so they can go have anonymous sex in bathroom stalls, a bush, a car wherever and then millions bring AIDS home to their wives. Their lifestyle is by its very nature disgusting, their gay agenda tries to silence people who bother to call a spade a spade. Many of them claim that getting arrested for having sex in public bathrooms is "homophobic" also which just shows what f&ckin pigs they are.

Fools, he wants everyone to believe that it was "normal" for him to get up at 4:30 on Tuesday.
It wasn't.

He slips up when talking to Lusko [ http://freshlifechurch.com/series/single.php?id=81&tm=734 ] and says:
"Yeah, uh, it was a Tuesday morning. Um, most Tuesday mornings are my long days. Uh, at least, during this season of life. And so I'd wake up, go to the gym super early, um. So this particular morning, I woke up about 4:30, spent some time in the word."

This PARTICULAR morning.

Also note, he blogged about how Mondays usually end in late night team meetings. Why would you get up at 4:30 after a late night meeting? Also, he describes Tuesday evenings as family night. That sounds relaxing, not like a long day.

https://daveyblackburn.com/2016/07/07/tuesday-nights/
"Maybe it was because Tuesday evenings used to be family night. Amanda was vigilant about keeping them sacred. She would never let us schedule anything on our calendar for Tuesday nights. After long days pouring out to people on Sunday, pushing through the Monday spiritual hang-over coupled with a late-night leadership meeting, and writing all day Tuesdays, Tuesday nights were the first time in 3 days we were able to take a breath."

P.S. to Davey. There is a huge difference between CONSPIRACY and DISCREPANCY.

Another theory: Watson and Gordon had to be persuaded by Alonzo Bull to go back to get Larry Taylor. The ATMs they chose may have been in the direction of their drop-off for stolen goods. I worked out the routes at one point and came up with 5 minutes unaccounted for, enough time to unload a trunk full of stolen goods somewhere along that route.

Is it normal for someone to say 'my couch' if someone else lives in the house? I'd think more 'the couch' - 'my couch' is more what a single person might say. When did it become his couch exclusively - was it always only his couch, or did it become his couch that morning when he spent some time 'in the Word'? It was 'my house' from the moment we first knew of Davey's existence - I wonder did he always describe everything as his, or if the house and couch became his rather than theirs only when Amanda was murdered. It would be interesting to know, as if previously he described things as 'the' or 'our', might the point at which they became his indicate that either Amanda had been shot by then, or knowledge that she would not be sharing the couch with him again? Did he say he and Amanda sat on his couch or the couch when they watched TV ? - sure it was just the couch... The grill was undoubtedly his.

Fakey Davey now reports, without emotion, having had nightmares for a week after Amanda's murder. But once he started praying & reading the bible in the mornings, he was fine.

I think this is Daveys boldest move yet - putting her family on public display & acting as an outside interviewer (emcee?), parading their grief & authentic faith, hoping he will appear genuine in their midst. But he looks more insincere than ever, if that's possible.

I guess it's all fodder for the book.

Davey addresses the trolls - but he is also addressing ANYONE who questions the veracity of his story. He insinuates that those people (I will call them "discerners") are not Christians. Both times these suggestions come out of his mouth, Amanda's parents cover their own mouths. This makes me believe that they personally have had their own doubts about Davey.

There's more...

Amber is very emotional near the end and, Davey has a sympathetic reaction to her tears! He controls it very well, but he wipes both eyes AND his nose.

And there's a real doozy at the end... Davey talks AGAIN about Jake Baird:

51:47 "Three years ago, shortly after we moved here, um. I went out to coffee with a guy, a Pastor at a church down the road, itown church, and um, his name’s Jake Baird. Many of you guys remember Jake. He came and spoke in December, and he lost his wife five years ago. Uh, middle of the night, he woke up at midnight, and she was, gone, just, um, died in her sleep, and I remember, going to coffee with him. It was a couple years after it happened, and he was sharing with me, giving testimony to how faithful god has been, and I’m blown away. As I’m sitting here across the, the um, m, you know, table with this guy who – I’m saying how in the world is he speaking with, with such strength after going through something like this. I remember specifically, going home, and telling Amanda about that story and going I don’t know how in the world he’s doing this. Like, there no way I would be able to walk with that much faith and trust and strength if I were in the same situation.

52:12 I had no idea that three years later I would be in the same situation. No idea."

Lynda, Bingo3 and Bobcat, thank you for transcribing. I really appreciate the time you took to do this.

From Amanda's dad:

"So, let your anger be towards the sin, not towards the people some, even tho they intended for evil, they in many ways, and in this case, an, an , especially, I have to be focused on the fact that this is what Satan wants to do, to destroy the things of God."

This makes it pretty clear to me how the man is coping. As in, “the power of Christ compels you”. It really speaks to the man’s soul. It takes a lot of strength and deep faith to be able to rise above the kind of evil that befell Amanda and to make "shedding" God's light his mission of justice for Amanda.

Something else Bobcat @ 12:57 posted:

He doesn't say, while I was at the gym. We know he was at the gym, video has him at the gym, he says he was at the gym (alibi); but he doesn't say where, he says he was "away".

Away is "absent".

Like at work when someone enquires after an employee, there is a difference between saying, "they're at a meeting", "they're at a doctor's appointment", "there on vacation" - and "they're absent". Absent implies an unknown reason on to the second party and knowledge to the first.

My abusive ex would put down suggestions I made for what songs his band should learn and play...I have a good ear for music, went through my stack of albums and new intuitively which songs would be a big hit with crowds, so I went through the stack and suggested about 10 songs. He should his head to all the suggestions acting like they were "silly" and not right. The next day I found a piece of paper where he had secretly written down nearly every song I had suggested to be his band's new playlist.

Abusers are often very jealous and envious of the women they are with, certainly over things such as money, etc. But more interestingly, they are often acutely jealous of any abilities such as having good taste, imagination, intelligence, etc that their women have. It's very interesting.

In the case of Davey and Amanda, I believe Davey was very envious of her. He was envious of her goodness, her thoughts, her femininity, her demureness, how well-loved she was by the church community. I am sure he was enraged with envy over the bond Weston and Amanda shared.

Davey was very envious of Amanda's gift of faith. Why wouldn't her be? Her beautiful faith in her Creator, her gentle and humble goodness...It is something HE DID NOT have, it was something he could not feel. Her relationship with God Himself, the sincerity of it, the way it strengthened her, was something he felt a deep and powerful desire to destroy and well as possess. He wanted it for himself.

Are 'her' people speaking up about how she felt? Was she seeking help? Does anyone of them speak for her? What was it really like being his spouse? Is he the only one speaking for both?

When Amanda’s dad is talking about forgiving somebody who’s never asked to be forgiven, when he talks about it in the first person, (about his own forgiveness) he directs what he himself will do at DB. He does this a few times, The moment Amanda’s dad says “I stand ready to forgive these men.” The *look* on his face as he looks into DB’s face is pretty defiant. “I have not yet spoken out in evil against them even though they probably deserve it) is, wow! Start @31.21 (Part 2) Forgiven people forgive people.

" ...God doesn’t forgive us of our sins, until we repent of our sins. And when we repent, He forgives us of our sins. And sometimes, um, when people hurt us, um, they don’t ask for forgiveness. And so you’re like, “What do I do now?” Now some people will say, “Well you have to forgive them” I’m w-I’m like for me, it’s like (looking at DB) “How do I forgive somebody that’s never asked me to forgive them?” …. I stand waiting and willing to forgive. We’re suppose to be, we’re not suppose to be people who hold against people. We’re suppose to love our enemies. How do you love your enemy? How do you do good to those who, who spitefully use you or do bad things against you. How do you that. Only saved people can do that. Only believers can do that because they understand how much they’ve been forgiven of. (looking at DB) and so for me, I stand ready to forgive these men. When they ask for forgiveness, if they do, I will forgive them. (looking back to audience) You answer the question. How difficult will that be? Not easy. But it’s doable because I’ve been forgiven of a lot. I know that. …. Now until that day, I’ve got to walk in freedom from bitterness and from anger and from wrath and hatred towards these men and here’s what I want you to understand from me, I’m trying to walk in, um, in hatred (nodding) I’m gonna use that, in hatred in anger towards sin in this world. Towards the brokenness in this world, instead of against the broken people of this world. Because we’re all broken and we all need a saviour to reboot-rebirth us into a new life in Jesus Christ. And these men that did this, (sighs,) are walking in the wickedness of their hearts (notice the open left hand palm up in the direction of DB) that they need to be redeemed of, they need to be forgiven for and changed. I don’t know why I can say this except the spirit’s in me. I want that for them. Now what that means is that (Looking at DB) I have to walk in Heaven with them for the rest of forever. Okay? But when I understand how broken I am and all that I’ve been forgiven of? I’m no different, in fact, who’s to say that without Jesus Christ what I’m capable of and what I would do. …. I can’t stand here today and say, "I have forgiven these men. They haven’t asked me for forgiveness. When they do I will forgive them. But I stand ready to forgive and I’m not going to, and I’m going to love them in any way that I can. I’m not going to speak. I have not yet spoken out in evil against them (looking at DB and almost whispering) even though they probably deserve it. I’m not going to do that because that’s not what we’re suppose to be doing. …”

What a remarkable family.

I think we are all here because we all agree that Davey is off. None of his statements or actions align with a grieving person.

Did he ever love Amanda? Did he always see her as a catalyst to something greater? When did the feelings change? In my mind, the season he was in was the one where he's become self obsessed, with numbers, muscles, with everything about himself. He doesn't have time for Amanda or Weston, and she's had enough of his selfishness. Its the season where your pregnant wife leaves YOU.

I have no statement analysis to back this up, but I think she was planning on leaving him soon, and she told him so, and he knew that his reputation as a pastor would be devastated, (especially if she found out he was cheating, or gay) He told Perry Noble right away and they hatched a plan. I think they decided she had to die. The whole thing was set up real quick by Perry Noble with Alonzo Bull, and it all happened on that very long Tuesday. PN has a financial interest in Resonate. He can't let the whole thing blow up. Amanda is killed, and Davey makes one really weird tv appearance. The one where he never mentions anything about the brutal, bloody horrific scene at his house where his wife was beaten and killed. He doesn't mention his son. Davey is whisked away down south, so PN can help him get it together. Later, they make a tv appearance together. Then they travel together. I think PN is keeping a tight grip on Davey.

Ithis sounds like a story, but it's plausible, huh? I don't go into detail about who pulled the trigger, because I doubt it was Davey, but I do think Davey knew Amanda was gonna die that day. RIP Amanda Blackburn, and baby. You deserved so much more.

I feel sad for them. Evil is present, powerful and tangible. It was a remarkable powerful evil that killed one of them and hurt the rest. And what appears to be a very close insidious evil among them. Where is the Christian God/Lord that so many claim? Where is His remarkable, present and tangible power? Everyone is afraid to ask this question. Always an excuse for why evil has such dominant power. Amandas life was taken by evil. Thats alot of power. Where is the Great opposing power? Its not in bible study or church attendence or sermons or pastor or preacher. Its not. Where is the One who said and its been recorded that He said this: ALL POWER AND AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME......WHERE IS HE?

Those who imprison others are always the ones who are truly imprisoned themselves while their prisoners remain free in their hearts. God was present in Amanda's heart, which was free...her heart was so pure she did not even know (she was not aware) of the evil that surrounded her, she was not able to grasp it, she lived in no chains, she was protected by God's grace, it was those around her who were enslaved and imprisoned by their own evil. Read her journal. She was protected by God's grace, she saw only light although surrounded by darkness. Who do you think protected her like that if not God? She walked among them untouched by the darkness of evil, until she was tragically taken. God will protect Weston in Amanda's absence, I feel sure of that.

Your statement is the perfect example of THE EXCUSE! She was not protected. You assume she did not know what was around her. None of us know how she felt because no one is speaking for her except DB.

Anonymous said...

It's an excuse, is it? Why don't you look above at the pictures Peter has so kindly provided and pay special attention to the contrast between Amanda's beautiful, peaceful, beaming (love-filled) countenance as opposed to Davey's sour, bitchy, insolent, nearly demoniacal expression?

Which of the two was protected by God? She felt love and she knew love. I don't mean specifically towards Davey. But you can see in her face, she knew love, she felt love towards the world, Weston, etc. He did not. He loves noone but himself and he lives in bondage to that, a virtual prisoner to his own selfishness, falling deeper and deeper into the pit of unfulfillment. He, enslaved to the false promises of Satan, the promise of earthly riches, success, fame. He, who does not know love and never will.

Which of the two was protected, at least spiritually, since that's what we seem to be discussing?

And as far as did she know the evil she was surrounded by? No. I am not implying she was ignorant or stupid, but she had too much goodness within her to grasp the kind of evil which surrounded her. She would have, eventually, but it would have taken many, many years.

Anonymous said...

The young lady IMO was oppressed by him. And depressed. Didnt you watch the train station vid? Very sad young lady. Wise up.

Anonymous said...

Yes, she was oppressed by him. I never said she wasn't. I saw the train station video and the sadness. I am not implying that she remained untouched by sadness, but that her sadness did not sever her connection with God. God is greater than sadness.

Davey is separated from God, he separated himself from God, which is the very definition of Hell itself, you can see it in his face, the insolent look of miserable selfishness, of one confused by Satan himself. Is it a surprise he now flaunts all of the things Satan promises: worldly riches, fame, success, money? Life is not easy, it is a spiritual battle is what it is, a battle Davey lost, and a battle Amanda won. Davey's light is gone. Amanda's light was never stolen from her. There is psalm that sums this up pretty perfectly...I'll have to find it and post a link.

Most comments here are made from an emotion-based point of view. Facts appear to be secondary. Wild theories appear to pass for analysis. Even Davey's often bizarre behavior is interpreted according to the commenters' perspective. If DB is analyzed solely from "media" statements and reports, it does seem to paint a portrait of the typical narcissist, which, if correct, is possibly what we're seeing rather than a person guilty of murder Nothing, other than DB's narcissistic behavior, points to his being guilty of Amanda's murder....not even SA, unless personal bias, perception, and preconception are applied.

Peter Hyatt and the other 12 investigators examining Davey Blackburn's words
exhibit personal bias, etc.

I'm curious. Though you don't believe Blackburn murdered Amanda, do you believe this goes
beyond narcissism to guilty knowledge, as Peter so clearly voiced?
Do you believe foreknowledge of the murder of your wife would carry with it some guilt?
Again, just curious.

Concerned, are you "perplexed" by the people who insist DB shot Amanda, even though that's not the theory presented by Peter and agreed upon by the group of investigators? Are you perplexed that those people think they've figured out, by using SA, something that Peter himself hasn't figured out? I am.

I believe you and I agree that there are some people who have
expressed off-the-wall ideas here since the crime. I might be
perplexed if I didn't think some of them had mental issues.
I stopped reading here for a long time because they saddened
and annoyed me. The steady anger by a few who attacked
anyone accusing Davey annoyed me too. I'm one of those who
felt their (your?) around-the-clock defense of him seemed very personal,
as in "Davey is among us" personal.

I'm not perplexed (Isn't "perplexed" a delicious word?!) that
some commenters think Davey actually shot her. I have moments
when I agree. But SA has not proven that (though it may since he'll
keep talking) and Peter has been careful to call it as he and the
pros see it - guilty knowledge. Most of the serious commenters have
done the same while making it clear that they are speculating when
it comes to who did the shooting. (Some exceptions, I know.)

I don't get the feeling that any of them came out of the gate looking
to hang an innocent "pastor". Why would they? But given his behavior
before and after the crime, I'm not surprised that anyone would want
to see him outed and at least stripped of the ability to influence young
people negatively while using the name of Christ.

I hope the core group here continues to call attention to Davey's behaviors
and that Peter revisits his statements because it appears that the
potential is there for more harm.
Don't you hope that too?

All my personal opinion, of course.

Reading over the posts reminded me of something that has bothered me from the get go- Davey's crassness describing that morning. Why would you tell your beloved congregation of friends "doing life" with you and Amanda's obviously close knit family that you "found her in a pool of blood". Seriously??? His account of the events that morning are very sketchy on details in the 4:30-8:15 a.m. block, but he's not shy in the least detailing that part graphically. There's no flinching, no emotion whatsoever when he recounted it the first time...nor has there been since. It's either a complete unawareness of others (severe lack of empathy), a duper's delight in shocking everyone, or he simply did not care. For a man who's holding himself and his spouse up as a standard for marriages in their church, a man who's said Amanda was his everything (but has yet to say he loved her "10 months to the day" after her death), a man who claims nightmares and waves of grief crying jags, his word choice belies an extraordinary lack of emotional attachment to and empathy for Amanda and all who loved her. IMO, he uses Jesus, God, the Bible as his script because he knows he's empty inside. He's well aware he is abnormal; growing up in a religious household, he's learned to "use" Christianese to his advantage, manipulating people from a very young age. His own language recounting sins from his youth, as well as family members recollections, tell us he is ruthless, selfish, arrogant, entitled, extremely competitive, and physically aggressive.

Does that mean he personally killed Amanda? No.

He dreamt AB was going to divorce him. Reminds me of OJ dreaming he murdered his wife. I always thought that LT saying he sat and watched AB bleed, was more of a thing he did while waiting, like she was already bleeding when he got there, not something he would say after causing her to bleed. It just strikes me with that statement, that it doesn't necessarily mean he pulled the trigger.

Jenny said...

Yeah, I'm not really that interested in who pulled the trigger. Any one of those thugs did it, most likely for money or drugs. I want to know who planned it. And who ordered it, and why. I mean we all know Davey says she died so the church could live, but why did she die then? I think it's because he couldn't put up with her leaving him. He would look like a fool if his pregnant wife left him. His career would be over.

Amanda probably found something that revealed Davey was gay and it probably incriminated at least one other person in the ministry. If I had been her I would have realized he was gay and I would have snooped through his shit (99% of women also would). Maybe the night before she was shot...remember when Davey was stalking around the house trying to find her and finally found her "kneeling" near the bed. Maybe she was sitting on the floor near the bed out of shock as she either looked at incriminating evidence on Daveys laptop, phone, receipts etc...also kinda half-hiding while snopping. She may have confronted him at that time--his natural reaction would have been to throw a psycho bitch-fit and he may have punched her in mouth at that time knocking her tooth out.

Thanks so much for your warm welcome! I'm loving it here already.

I read through everything, and um, well, there's this:

Taylor stated that she charged at him and he shot her somewhere in the upper body SO he would not be scratched,” the document states. “Taylor then told them that he leaned over her body and shot her in the back of the head. He leaned further, looked at her face, and watched her bleed.”

I used SCAN on these sentences, and I have put into bold type the section preceding "so" that SCAN would highlight as being sensitive and possibly deceptive. Hence, the words

"Taylor stated that she charged at him and he shot her somewhere in the upper body" are sensitive and possibly deceptive.

"somewhere in the upper body is technical police language also.

It is also odd that the CI states that Larry Taylor uses excuse-making to try to explain why he shot her in the "upper body" implying it was in "self-defense" to avoid being scratched, but then he has no problem immediately after the excuse-making boldly presenting himself as a cold-blooded executioner-type killer, allegedly stating that he leaned over her and shot her in the back of the head and then leaned further and "watched her bleed".

There are undeniably elements in this statement from the CI that resemble a coerced statement, particularly coming from an individual who is being coerced to blame others the individual was with. I can think of similar wording from some of the coerced statements from one of the members of the Memphis Three.

Me2l said...

It makes such perfect sense to believe that Larry Taylor would confess to a murder he did not commit when he has to know he was hired to do the killing.

See? It's very reasonable.

Keep on coming with the flawed SA. It just can't get any better than this.

Anonymous said...

No, I'm saying the CI may have been coerced by police into saying Larry Taylor told him that he killed Amanda when Larry Taylor may not have killed her.

Besides what SCAN indicates, there is something wrong with the sentence below also...I have noticed this before with coerced statements where someone is being coerced into saying someone else did a crime, the fabricated story about the supposed perp will contain a lot of references to body postures/gestures/etc that the supposed perp was doing while attacking, must be the way the mind makes up stories. You can see that here:

“Taylor then told them that he leaned over her body and shot her in the back of the head. He leaned further, looked at her face, and watched her bleed.”

I have no way of knowing for sure, but it sounds like the CI made this up to make police happy.

Me21 - stop with the wild claims, you know you are just making things up...

Larry Taylor pleaded NOT GUILTY to Amanda's murder. He has NOT confessed to Amanda's murder. The 'cooperating individual' ALLEGED to investigators that Larry Taylor killed Amanda and told others that he had.

Check it out to to be quite sure - this might help you to not keep on repeating that erroneous clam:

Pastor's wife death: Men plead not guilty

http://edition.cnn.com/2015/11/24/us/indiana-amanda-blackburn-killing/

(CNN)Two men arrested in connection with the Indianapolis murder of a pregnant preacher's wife pleaded not guilty Tuesday, according to defense attorney Dominic Martin.

----

The CNN report does present it as though what is in the documents was spoken by Larry Taylor - it is misleading. Fox, and other news outlets did better in clarifying that the words were only allegedly Taylor's, as told by the CI.

Readers here have known since the probable cause document was released that Larry Taylor did NOT confess to killing Amanda Blackburn, and that the words ascribed to him were spoken by the 'cooperating individual'. Taylor told investigators that he was out of it, he stayed in the car - he did NOT say he entered the Blackburn home and murdered Amanda.

It's (wildly) surprising how you do not appear to know that - there's more than a mild difference between a confession and a denial.

For all your admonishment of others, you have not even read the probable cause document?

Hey Jude, of course he's pleaded not guilty. Did you expect him to plead guilty? That's not how the it's usually done in the legal process. BTW, has DB entered his plea yet? Would he plead guilty, do you suppose? Or do you imagine a dramatic discovery, an arrest, along with a dramatic confession?

Law enforcement had reason to arrest the three thugs. To this point, they have found no reason to arrest the narcissistic Davey B. The only place DB is found guilty is in the minds of blog commenters and their published stories...,or "opinions," as they enjoy saying. My "opinion" is quite different from those, and it is not related to a "defense" of Davey, as has been so irrationally stated here. It's more an attempt to bring some of you crazies down to Earth and reality.

As for Davey, if he has any connection whatsoever to Amanda's murder, it is my hope that will be discovered and prosecuted. Until then, the story telling here, while somewhat entertaining, is off the wall.

"Obviously"? There ya go....one of the themes here. It's, also, "obvious" that DB is guilty of involvement in the murder of Amanda.

I certainly do not discount the concluding analysis by Peter and the 12, but even they will only go so far as to deem db's "involvement" regarding the crime as guilty knowledge. It makes sense in the context of the final analysis and its conclusion.

I would ask this, though: has law enforcement taken advantage of this panel of experts' conclusion and analysis? To this point, it would appear LE has not. In that context, I really don't believe my expressed opinion is all that unusual.

I think the analysis is very interesting and compelling, and I follow along, learning as I go.

I believe narcissism accounts for every bit of Davey's public reactions to the murder of Amanda. As you are no doubt aware, narcissists are certainly capable of murder....and murder without conscience. This conceivably could be the case with Davey, but it could also be the case that his narcissism drives his statements and reactions without involvement in the murder. After all, it's all about him...the narcissist. (I don't think it's necessary to go into the deeply disturbing traits of that personality deviation. I would hope we're versed enough in it by now.)

Oh, and just to be clear, I have never said I do not believe Davey murdered Amanda. I have questioned the numerous comments that have no connection to reality or analysis. Nothing here has ever proven or even effectively connected Davey to the murder, and yet, the attempts in the comments are to prove the preconceived notion that he is guilty, and extreme liberties are taken throughout all the amateur analyses. (Notice, I said "amateur." I am not referring to the professional contributions.)

Davey's behavior is appalling. To date, that's the extent of it.

Perhaps Davey could script a reliable denial instead of rambling on and on about those who question him.

Or he could just STFU, period. Silence would be flippin awesome.

You're right ... it would be sooooo much better if those close to Davey came here and only saw all the comments about Amanda's family not grieving in an acceptable manner, and comments picking apart Amber's lovely posts about her dead sister, and comments accusing Amanda's dad of being involved in the murder and having a homosexual relationship with Davey, and the comments accusing Amber of being involved, and the comments about which sexual positions Meg prefers, etc. etc.

Sorry, anon, but you're kidding yourself if you think that me2l is responsible for posters here appearing to be conspiracy theorists. Pull your head out of your butt and look around ...

I post under my registered name. I don't use multiple names. I'll leave that up to Hey Jude, Bobcat, the Hydra, HISG et al, and a few others.

I have no "purpose," other than to point out the holes and at times, utter fallacy of theories presented in this blog. I wouldn't call it a purpose. It's more what I consider to be a logical approach, as well as a difference of opinion.

Yea,IMO, Me21 true purpose on this blog is just that ^^^. I wish she or he would let others debate issues and write their opinions about DB. Oh wait, Me21 is not the boss of us. We can debate, discuss, write whatever the hell we want to about DB. Just because Me21 don't agree that our discussions are logically sound according to her or his approval, doesn't mean that our discussions are not logical! It only means we donot have to impress Me21 because most of us who are having discussions on this blog are NOT SA EXPERTS, nor do we profess to be SA EXPERTS. But most of us enjoy reading, discussing/writing, and debating about the many different statements/lies DB are telling AND how it appears as though he's getting away with something illegal such as hiring a hit man to take out his wife OR taking her out himself. All for the love of money under the disguise of Christianity. So, I think we should carry on the debates, discussions, and writings especially if it's about DB and his ever changing lies, I mean stories. I also think we should ignore Me21 lectures because he/she is not the boss of us. Now let us carry on.

Me2l said...

That makes a ton of sense!

Good grief, have I ever prevented anyone from commenting? How would I do that? I didn't realize I could.

People can choose to or not to comment and debate, although I would point out, you can't debate if everyone is if the same opinion. I have nothing to do with the choices you people make.

Bobcat said...

I wonder if DB knows Me2l?

He describes Me2l characteristics quite well here:
http://resonateindianapolis.com/mediacast/home-run-life-week-7-when-to-run-the-bases-backwards/
"See, um, the other thing that I’ve discovered about, just growing up in church, and, and church people is, um… There’s a lot of church people who aren’t changed people.
There’s a lot of church people who aren’t changed people, and maybe you know some of them. Once you were like, they’re, they’re all up in church, man they do alllll the right things, they say all the right things, they wear all the right things, but at the end of the day, man, they’re not, they’re not, they’re not even really changed. They’re like… Some of ‘em are just mean. Some of ‘em are condescending. Some of ‘em are judge, judgmental. "

Isn't this awesome? Me2l and DB can both be the topic of discussion at the same time.

They are very similar.

ME2l, your problem is you can't stick to the subject. These are posts about the murder of Amanda Blackburn. You spent a lot of time clogging up the feed with your petty arguments. People don't post because they don't want to deal with your acerbic attitude & constant attacks. You've gotten into it with multiple people, not just on here, but on other Blackburn feeds. If you can't stop yourself from bringing your negative behavior on here, then go away. Quietly.

Papa, I've completed the behavior profiling analysis of the U.S. crime solvers. Conclusion: They're a small group of about one Bankers dozen (13). Based on the U.S. solvers written statements I hypothesize the average age of the group to be 13 yrs old but pretending to be adults. My behavior analysis hypothesizes the likelihood the entire group, although probably unknown to each other, and statistically impossible, is currently all suspended from their high schools. Hence, the above average amount of daily free time used bickker bloggering day & night. Papa, I observed the dialogues veer from debates of the snoop doggs to again arguing.

I would hope we're versed enough in it by now.)

I'm not sure how you can be so sure that nothing connects DB to the murder. LE has only released enough information for the APC. In other words, the fantastical (mostly hearsay) information LE presented to a judge for arrest (and to "clear" DB of the crime,) is the same fantastical information we are using to consider DB's involvement based on what LE chose to discount: scientific probability and his behaviour.

You judge us and call us amateur but then you use weak language: "I believe", "conceivably could be", "could also be", yet you can't offer anything to advance your argument, "professionally".

Unicorns may dance in June
I created this secret code
Under the full moon

Guess all you want
You efforts will be for
Naught
The answer cannot be sold
Bartered or bought

With that I leave you
Crime-solvers to guess
Many of you seem short on wit
I think only ABB is smart enough
To figure out the answer to it

The only crime solver
Both beautiful brilliant and wise
I highly doubt the code can be solved
By you other guys

But since she never comes here
Anymore the code will remain
A mystery.....

I always thought that LT saying he sat and watched AB bleed, was more of a thing he did while waiting, like she was already bleeding when he got there, not something he would say after causing her to bleed. It just strikes me with that statement, that it doesn't necessarily mean he pulled the trigger."

Yet another reason comments here are sus
pect....at least, to a reasonable person. There are so many wild accusations, stated as fact; there are wild accusations, based upon nothing more than thin air and vivid imaginations.

This was my post that Me21 responded to. I just wrote a couple of thoughts, and then I'm accused of wild accusations, pulling facts out of thin air and my comments are suspect. I think you really over reacted. It was just my guess to a theoretical question, then a thought about what the CI said LT said. I believe you also accused me of not applying SA correctly and of not being logical. I once complemented Nic on a well tought out post, and someone ridiculed me for it. It just gets tiresome having to deal with it. I do have a right to post, why all the attacks, and put downs? I will pick a name as there are too many anonymous posts.
But I will no longer respond to any of the posters who are doing this. I just can't figure out why they exhibit this kind of behavior then blame everyone else for being childish and unintelligent.
