Blackburn Murder: Co Occurring Deception

Co Occurring  Deception in investigations is  rare, but it happens.

Mostly it is evident in cases of employee theft where an investigation commences and an employee is deceptive, but the employee did not steal; but had done something else for which deception is present in the language, triggering suspicion.

Over the years, there has been only a handful of cases where co-occuring  deception was indicated.  In each case, it was challenging to sort through.

In a missing persons case, a father was deceptive about his missing toddler.

Later, a sex offender down the block was arrested in her murder.

The father was deceptive because he was hiding a secret...illegal drug abuse had led him to being passed out on the couch, incapable of protecting his daughter, who had gotten out of the house and wandered down the block into the path of a sex offender who had molested and killed her.  In his timeline he indicated deception while speaking about 'what happened' to his daughter.  This is a Co Occurring deception.

I once investigated a case in which a subject was deceptive and I sent my analysis for review of which it was agreed:  "Yes, she is deceptive, but something else has taken place..." which caused me to explore tangent criminal behavior which later surfaced.  With this being rare, and mostly within employee theft, it can be employee misconduct that is severe or important enough to surface during an investigation.

On another such theft investigation, a statement revealed deception, though not with the theft.  I then learned that another (and far greater) theft had taken place of which she knew who had done it which is why her statement showed deception indicated.

                  The Murder of Amanda Blackburn

Davey Blackburn has been deceptive during the weeks following his wife's murder.  He has shown a desperation to turn it into something it wasn't; to justify his own lack of emotional response to it, which is why he gave it the convenient and commercialized reason for it, ultimately tripping theologically in order to force the view.

He had a need to justify the death to quell the guilt that was within his language, over not being devastated by it, but relieved.  This coupled with his insatiable drive for success, peddling her death to sell t shirts and bring in numbers.  He has needed to do this.

Consider:

He showed no emotion whatsoever regarding his wife's killers, uncaught and on the loose.

He showed little connection linguistically to his wife, her murder, or even his son.   The distancing language was extreme.

When he was asked about the notion of the husband being investigated, he said,

"For us, we have nothing to hide" which was the giveaway.

This is something not only known to analysis, but to parents who hear this from their kids:  he has something to hide.   Not only did he signal he had something to hide, but psychologically 'hid' in the plural of "us" and "we", while speaking for himself.

When speaking of her death, he used the same plural pronouns.

He is hiding something and it has to do with someone else (plural) and he lacked normal human emotion regarding his wife's death.

If Blackburn is hiding something that is dual to his wife's murder, it may be something his mentor not only knows about, but has known about for years, indicating as much when he said, "there's something wrong with that boy" and then went on to give a sexualized description of Blackburn, himself, while at a memorial for Amanda.

When an investigation commences, one that is deceptive will bring suspicion upon himself or herself, whether is be drug purchasing and abusing, or something along the lines of sexual identity, it is never wise.  The more one speaks, the more deception is indicated.  The more deception is seen, the more the investigation triggers diligence.  From the beginning, police have known he was not the shooter, but his statements and behavior signaled that something was amiss.

A husband not devastated by his wife and pre born child's death but emotionally distant who signals something is hidden may be just that:  dual deception.

From the beginning I have noted guilt within the language, but have written that I do not know the source of the guilt; whether it is a connection to the gang that shot his wife, or something else, but whatever it is, it is life consuming and personally defining making it powerful enough in his life to overshadow the murder itself.

What supports this possibility?

a.  The language as in posted analysis.
b.  the videos including the repeated attempts to portray
c.  The language of mentor
d.  The language of friend
e.  His self revealed history
f.  Behavioral analysis (commercializing on her death)

What does not support this possibility?

a.  The coincidental nature of the case

What might lead this to conclusion?

The 911 call.

As the police investigation continues more information is released. Blackburn, himself, had to be investigated by statistics, alone, but his own words increased suspicion.  In this regard, he has no one to blame but himself.

For some it is the crass exploitation of Amanda's death, while for others, it is a painful misrepresentation of Christianity that so infuriates them.

For others, there is the circumstances that say, "no one is this lucky!" when it comes to the coincidental nature of this case.

Statement Analysis is concerned with truth.

"For us, we have nothing to hide" is a statement with several elements for analysis.

1.  Plural
2.  hiding
3.  Negative
4.  Emphasis

This means that when even a school boy under suspicion says, "I have nothing to hide" he is thinking of something he does not want revealed.

For Blackburn, not only did this come in the context of his wife's murder, but he used the plural, telling us what he 'did not' have (negative) and did so with 'needed emphasis.'

What does this mean?

It is the language of guilt.

It is the language of challenge.

It means that when asked about being investigated, he was specifically thinking of something that he does not want known and...

this is a challenging portion:

it is something that produced not only repetition ("us" and "we") but associates this secret with at least one other person.

The context:  his wife's murder.

Did she know what he is hiding?

Does someone else know what he is hiding?

That he is hiding something is not in question, but with whom does the secret abide.

Or...is the plural a psychological retreat for safety, as researchers have shown, where guilt is shared, or thought to be mitigated by the presence of others, like a school boy who is caught and says, "but everyone was doing it!"

I have found the verses he shares on his social media, while mostly taken out of context in the Bible, are all about him as well. How they help him through a difficult time. As a parent, I would not be talking about myself. I would be concerned with my children. Raising a child alone for a mother would be tough, but for a father, raising a child without a mom?? I think my husband, while he is an amazing father, he would struggle with that the most. I would have expected Davey to talk about the good things his wife did for them. I would expect him to talk about how Weston is doing. I would expect him to cry out for help because his son is crying for his momma.

This may be totally off the wall, but I wonder if he was bisexual or had latent gay tendencies and Amanda finally figured it out?

Seems like it would be hard or impossible as an investigator to remain objective when the subject is indicating deception, especially in the case of a murdered wife.

I've been following the Amanda Blackburn murder story, where there is so much circumstantial evidence pointing to the husband, plus his own words.

"Dual deception" was never something I had thought of, 'till reading it here.

I wonder if an investigator ever finds himself "wanting" to obtain an arrest, before getting sufficient evidence.

I wonder how many people have been falsely accused and even convicted, due to dual deception.

Anon 10:17 am . A Pastor is not above the law. Noone is here because they want him to be guilty. I actually think if anything this has brought attention to the "false Preachers" of our world. And, yes, he is a false preacher. Murderer? maybe not...But false teacher, yes. The Bible warns us about false preachers.

It is very difficult.

On one of those that I cited years ago, my work was verified: she was deceptive!

Yet, something was amiss and here is how it worked out:

She tipped her hand as she spoke:

She said regarding the allegation, "I will take a polygraph but only if you agree to ask about only this and nothing else."

Bingo.

The investigation showed that she had been bullied by a boyfriend into helping him break into the company's headquarters on a very different crime.

On Blackburn, I have maintained "guilt indicated" and then "deception indicated" as he continued to speak, but the need to cover himself, is all encompassing and he refuses to be alone.

This may be his 'secret' hiding and it is all encompassing.

This would suggest a link to the killers, via the gang.

I have not excluded this possibility. I just need more; perhaps the 911 call would bring me to conclusion.

I do think that there may be financial 'gray' things on his mind or in his dealings but he does not speak like one who craves money, but one who craves popularity for himself, as a heterosexual male. This is very important.

The explanation that the deception may be his sexuality fits his language, but it does not answer the bizarre coincidental nature of the crime, including sitting in the driveway.

It does explain the post death statements.

This now moves the topic to "political correctness" and further from truth. I have seen this in the last few years with steady increase until now, when one disagrees with political correctness he is silenced via:

Mental health
Moral standing

"phobia", or irrational fear, and "hatred"

I heard this, en masse, when I analyzed the anonymous letter to the gay woman ("relentlessly gay") and showed that the recipient of the letter was the author. She had collected more than $43,000 in donations from Go Fund Me.

Her supporters said I was mentally incapable of having a valid opinion, and morally incapable of reasonably neutral thinking. Clearly, I had "hatred" and "homophobia", they wrote.

The gay woman is the one of "hatred"; showing contempt for the mostly same sex public who rushed to donate money to her.

She faced arrest in Baltimore and would have likely gone to prison. She had no ability to say, "I did not write the letter" no matter how many times she was challenged.

Most people come to this blog to see truth revealed and do not get caught up in politics or PC...few do, and they post passive aggressive comments "demanding" that my record is "now discredited" usually due to a love of a political persona.

Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar. I have enough of her statements to show how dangerous she is; like any pathological liar given money and authority.

Next up, Paul Ryan?

I don't have enough of his statements but I am seeing some concerning issues.

If a Republican is elected president, you'll see angry comments about "you only analyze republicans!", as whoever dominates the headlines gets the attention.

During 'relentlessly gay' I was written about on FB and in comments as a "right wing Christian hateful nut" who would not ever analyze Christians.

Indeed.

I wonder if DB is guilty of knowing the burglars were in his neighborhood, and leaving his family unprotected anyway.

The stolen Sebring was parked in the drive of the first burglarized home. DB surely knew it wasn't his neighbor's.

He would have driven right by it on his way out.

According to the CI they loaded four TVs into the Sebring around the time DB drove out.

The burglars were fairly brazen about walking around the neighborhood. The do I next to Blackburn's was tampered with. Taylor was seen two doors to the other side of Blackburn's. (Not the first house burglarized.) DB says he gets up early. Could he have taken out the dog? Looked out a window? And seen them?

The burglars say they saw DB leave. Does that mean they were standing outside?

At the first LE press conference, they mentioned a dark colored SUV drove into the cul de sac and left one minute later. DB drove their black SUV that morning. Did he come back for some reason?

DB stated he left the door unlocked.

DB left for the gym later than his normal time.

DB sat in the drive 40 minutes when he arrived home.

Could DB have had "an opportunity" arise that he took advantage of, even helped along, by not reporting activity at his neighbor's and ensuring they saw him leave.

One more...DB entered his home when he saw his neighbor arrive home. The 911 calls were minutes apart. This suggests to me that DB knew the neighbor would find her home burglarized.

The presence of the word pager, phone, telephone, cell phone in a story is an indication of deception. It usually means the person is tied to the crime scene.

--I am curious to learn if in statement analysis if Blackburn was on the phone with his mentor from 7:30 - 8:20 a.m. (40 minutes!)- as stated in link below. It would be easy to verify that he was on the phone with his mentor and I am certain the police followed up, but could he have done a second call before going into the house? A second call that would not allow him to go into the house? Perhaps he was speaking to someone he was in an illicit affair with and he didn't want to arouse suspicion at home. This would surely allow for the "guilty" words and explain the oddity of being on the phone without going into the house. If the police verify a second call, then I am certain he would have explained it to them, but not the public. (Lying by withholding) Additionally, both he and his mentor could have been engaged in a "private" call as well, and guilty language can spill as well, on both of their part, explaining the use of the word "telephone" on both their parts.

Regarding phones and Statement Analysis:

This is one of those principles that warrants explanation and actually causes some difficulty in "101" type seminars. For another time but these 101 seminars can trigger great hunger for learning, which is beneficial, but it also can lead people into thinking they are lie detectors and make all sorts of mistakes, ultimately discrediting the work. The 101 is valuable and is an introduction. (I just finished a phone conversation with someone about 30 minutes ago on this topic).

For analysis:

We are looking at the verbalized perception of reality; not reality.

It is a tremendous point of coincidence that on this date he was on the phone for 40 minutes OUTSIDE while she bled out. What we need to know on this is this: Was this what he did EVERY week even as he claimed to talk every same day and hour?

That she was killed at this time, itself, is suspicious, but if this was not the norm that he stay in the car? Wow!

It is not that someone is on the phone, but it is their need to tell an investigator that they were on the phone.

In statement analysis, a "phone" is a "person", for the purposes of analysis. The phone can tie someone to the crime scene (the home is the crime scene and he was at the home) but this is a minor point. The stronger point is when a subject is speaking and feels the need to talk (or write) about being on the phone, texting, etc.

It is in the language, not the action, that we look.

Does this help?

I recognize that the analysis posted on the blog is general, and not in great detail (see my comment in the Ramsey 911 call comments section).

I do hope that readers interested in Blackburn WILL read 911 analysis here and in other cases BEFORE the Blackburn call is released.

I remain encouraged at the digging being done by long term readers and the intelligence that new readers are bringing.

Several people have built speculation around the fact that DB's trip to the gym on that day was later than usual. Is is true that so far we don't have any evidence for this apart from his own account? It seems like a important point that in time will be easily verified by timestamp or footage from the gym. This would confirm whether the events were really a departure from normal routine or within the normal variation.

Malignant narcissists are subhumans. Because they feel shame wherever the smallest imperfection is revealed, they need their own set of Statement Analysis rules.

Only thinking of himself, Davey left his front door unlocked. Davey was at the gym working on his body when his wife was shot. Amanda was dying on the floor while Davey talked to his friend for an hour on the phone. Davey was investigated for murdering his wife. Each of these occurances showed Davey was imperfect. He experience intolerable shame because personal imperfection was revealed.

When questioned by reporters, Davey took action to decrease his intolerable feeling of shame. He deceptively made it appear that others close to him were also prime suspects in Amanda's murder ("We have nothing to hide"). In Davey's mind, this decreased his appearance of guilt and therefore, decreased his intolerable feeling of shame.

Funny...I used to be a frequent contributer on a forum for family members of people with personality disorders. After I was a member there for a while, a woman came on who was terrified that her ex-husband would make false claims to Child Protective Services. (People with personality disorders do that. They make false abuse claims about themselves, kids, spouses, etc. It's a nightmare.)

I counseled her that she had nothing to worry about: "You have nothing to hide, your kids are not abused. If CPS comes to your door, say, 'Come in, the kitchen's this way, the kids are upstairs, and I'll make you some lemonade.' Let them investigate! After a while, your ex will be shown to be a deceiver, and you'll be vindicated."

ALL THIS TIME, I was thinking that, if I were in her shoes, I would use the words, "I have nothing to hide." In reality, what I would have said was, "Come in, and investigate all you want. I'll get the kids."

I really doubted the statement analysis for that reason, for the "I" reason that Peter mentioned in a previous blog post.

Davey sounds as if he has been religiously brainwashed. A religious vocation was what he was supposed to do not what he had the opportunity to choose on his own. He knows all the words but his true beliefs and feelings slip out. It reminds me of Payton and Eli Manning. Did they really have an opportunity to explore careers other than football? Was there a part of them that would have liked to be an accountant, a doctor, a trapeze artist? I think Davey found himself in the same situation with his profession already determined.

One of the best reasons to confess to a crime is to establish one's alibi for a more heinous crime, the thinking being that a burglar who is caught on camera burgling a home cannot at that same time be murdering a woman in another part of the city.

Q: How can one both be, and not be, at the scene of a murder?
A: Why, by sitting in the driveway on one's phone, of course.

(PS, I just watched "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" with visiting houseguests and was reminded of the proper use of "one" as a pronoun. Long live Judy Dench, and the Queen's own language).

OT - UPDATE
Here is a statement made by Klein Investigations, the PI firm that was recently contracted in the DeOrr Kunz Jr. case. This was posted on their Facebook page not too long ago. **Note - I copied this directly from their FB page. Typos and misspellings are all from them.**

"Statement By Philip R. Klein, Lead Investigator - The Deorr Kunz case :

"Good afternoon - and we wish to report to the public that we are making progress on the Deorr Kunz case as the team is now back in Texas reviewing evidence, interviews and information collected as part one of this investigation. We are however - again - very concerned regarding the misinformation that has been and is being planted on Social Media. Frankly, and to be fully honest, it has hurt and continues to hurt the family and our attempts to garner information and evidence in this case. Therefore our team is requesting that if you are an administrator of a FACEBOOK page that is dedicated to the Deorr Kunz case that you please consider taking it down - this includes both public and private FACEBOOK pages. As well, we will announce to combination of two of the active FACEBOOK pages to allow us to communicate to you the public regarding this case and get information to you the public in order to help us help this family. We know this is an unusual request, however, there are over 10 FACEBOOK pages dedicated to this case and it is creating a problem in our team getting requests and information out to you the public.

Finally - may I say publicy a very large thank you to the citizens of Idaho. You have opened your hearts, your homes and your communities to us as investigators. Further, your outpouring of love and compassion towards the family is unbelievable.

If we can get the combination of all of the FACEBOOK pages contacts and the shut down of all but two - we believe we can move this case further along. Equally - we expect to make a public statement this next week on the status of this case and its direction. The purpose is to give you the public the knowledge that the case is moving forward - and give you a direction in order to help us. The public WILL BE a substancial help in this case.

Again - our warm thanks to the citizens of Idaho in opening their homes and hearts to our team. Our promise to you is to bring answers to this horrible situation. We will have a direction to you this next week."

Rape and burglary are not tantamount to murder. These are two different types of crimes, murder being more heinous and in nature compared to rape and burglary. To commit murder requires a different mentality and mindset than a garden variety burglary and rape. This latest information still does not exculpate DB from being involved in his wife's murder. It appears to be a red herring!

My name is Christian Moorer and I'm the 16 year old son of Sidney and Tammy Moorer. No, I am not under a gag order and I can say anything I wish to say.

First of all there is a lot of illegal activity going on with this case. My family was searched without probable cause and search warrants were illegally signed to get into our house two times, my grandparents house two times, and to take our vehicle two different times in December and February. (This was after my mom allowed them to search our home and property without a search warrant as soon as they began looking for Heather. At that time dad was at HCPD answering the questions they asked over and over again trying to get him to twist his words. They would not allow him to leave even though he was not under arrest.) I think cops assumed if they kidnapped my mom and dad that they would turn on one another and confess, even if they were NOT guilty just to get back home to us kids. Well, it didn't work out as they planned. If a person was guilty of anything you best believe they'd tell the truth and avoid being held in jail away from their family for a year! My mom and dad had nothing to do with Heather's disappearance. They clearly don't have a motive.

Others have a lot of motive. Don't you get it? It's clear to see what certain people benefit from her leaving or disappearing. ($$$) A lot of people don't realize my family was away for 3 weeks in CALIFORNIA prior to Heather's disappearance. My mom was accused of beating her up while we were in California. The police didn't even know about the three week trip until after they took my parents to jail in February. Does this tell you how much investigation was put into the whole thing? That's why you no longer hear about that lie. If it wasn't my mom, who beat her up? And just to be clear my mom and Heather have never met or seen one another in person. Not one time. Another thing you don't hear about in recent months is that my mom was seeing another guy. That rules out the jealousy scenario so the police and solicitors don't mention that anymore.Speaking of solicitors. Jimmy Richardson is friends with Terry Elvis on fb and many other Elvis family members. I believe this is a conflict of interest for he is trying to protect his friend Terry when he has more than enough evidence to place him under arrest today, and convict him. Jimmy Richardson should be looked into for covering up for his friend and allowing his friend to get away with the things he has let Terry get by with. Jimmy knows for a fact that Terry has been caught on video at our home several times driving a black Ford F150. The cops thought they had the only copies of this but surprise, copies are everywhere. They know this now because they have surfaced. Terry can no longer lie and deny that he was there. He has to make up new lies to cover up the old lies to try and fool you all that don't have a clue to what is really going on. Terry brags about his ties to HCPD, the police chief, the sheriff's department, and being close with Jimmy and the solicitors office. The case should be dropped due to that alone. Why are they protecting their friend Terry? Jimmy Richardson had no problem making a snide remark about my dad when the honest judge forced them to admit to their lies. I stand corrected, "MISTAKES". That also shows that Jimmy is out to get my dad due to his reputation being tarnished for all of the mistakes they have made.

M,

The Fox report mentions DNA evidence of Larry Taylor. DNA takes a while to process. It is also possible LE didn't have Taylor's DNA for comparison until after he was charged with Amanda Blackburn's murder.

Christian Moorer statement of Facebook part 2:

Do you all recall that first bond hearing, it was more like a theatrical production where many lies were told, and then a gag order was placed on my mom and dad so they couldn't speak the truth when the police stated how many calls were made to them about my family being threatened and harassed? The calls were made because HCPD told us to call every time Terry or one of the people supporting him showed up. The HCPD was given video, photographs, text messages, and never did they do one thing to him. Meanwhile hate pages show up talking about murdering me and my siblings, raping my sister, and killing my entire bloodline. What kind of psychotic sociopath orchestrates that kind of thing? A mind that thinks that way is capable of murder, fraud, and just about anything else when he doesn't get his way.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhorqTvB94o

Months later the same things have been done to other people that have come forward with information that were once doing evil deeds for him. They have turned on him and told the truth. This is why someone is freaking out, calling TV shows to broadcast old lies that have been proven to be false, and is begging for pity from people that don't know the truth. Ask yourself this citizens of Horry county and anyone else following this case. Why did Heather post so many negative things about her family? Why did she reference her Sly Fox address as a rape dungeon? Why was she begging for money to get away from Myrtle Beach? This all started months before my dad ever hired her. Where are the pictures of Heather with her loving family and her sister she is claimed to have been so close to? The family pictures look to be from years ago. I hate taking pictures but I'm in hundreds of them with my family this year alone.

I see above that another bogus petition has been started. Do you remember the one they put out a few months ago with all of their fake signatures on it trying to keep my mom and dad from making a living and supporting their family? For some reason this group of haters love to create fake facebook accounts and do unspeakable things. They are terrified of this judge because he's honest and abides by the constitution as Judge John should have and did not! Judge John falsely imprisoned my mom and dad for close to a year and caused damage that can never be undone including the deaths of two people. My grandfather and baby sibling. Terry knows he has lied to Judge Dennis. He lied about making contact with our family. He lied about stalking our family. He begged for a protection order from my mom and dad when it's my mom and dad that needed one from him! Perjury. That's the word I'm looking for. The Elvis family stood up in a court of law and said they never contacted our family.

Well, how do they explain breaking into a gated neighborhood and going up to the door of Mr and Mrs. Larry Moorer in Summerville, SC? Are Morgan and Debby forgetting that they did this? My grandparents live in a gated neighborhood so they had to break in to get to their door. Is this not contact with the Moorer family? If it's not I'd like to know what is considered contact. If I'm not mistaken the Elvis family could be arrested for lying to the judge. Also Summerville is very close to Charleston, SC. It's not a hardship for them to drive 100 miles to harass my grandparents, but it's a bother to go to Charleston for court?

Bottle Cap said...

Christian Moorer statement of Facebook part 3:

They've contacted my grandparents in other ways as well, but we will save that for court. Terry also claims to have never had contact with my mom and dad until the text message he sent to my dad showed up. Then he created a lie to make an excuse for that. That was the first time he threatened to kill my entire family. December 19th, 2013, if I'm not mistaken. We had no idea who he was or why he was calling. 911 has a record from that night. My dad called them and guess what, cops were already outside surrounding our house. This was the first time my dad showed the cops EVERY text and phone call Heather's phone had made to him. The cops even called Heather's phone number from my dad's phone that night and said, "Let it ring." From the second the police called him he cooperated with the police. They want you to think he lied about the phone calls. He did not. Records will show that unless they suddenly disappear as other things have that show my parents whereabouts that night. Our house is located on a private road. It states that only guests and residents are to be back there. That black Ford F150 made many trips down our private road. Others were sent down it to plant evidence and to try and scare us. Once they realized cameras were all over the property they suddenly stopped. People that had been involved came clean and told the authorities what they had been put up to do. I'm pretty sure they didn't do a thing about it. Another cover up for a friend? We have asked for protection from this group and have been denied several times because HCPD and the solicitor ARE friends with the family. The truth is finally being reported and it has the Elvis family in an uproar. A persons past is a key factor in deciding what type of person they are and what they are capable of. Research things before you place judgment on someone. Get all of the facts and if that means you have to wait for it all to come out in court you wait. Remember my mom and dad are not able to go on the news and tell their side. The news stations are only reporting ONE SIDE of what has happened in this case. They made a big deal when they put on the show in Feb 2014, but since the truth has been exposed you don't see much written about the "mistakes" Jimmy and HCPD have made. They don't mention the violent criminal history of those close to Heather, or the strange spending of funds donated to help find her. They won't run a story telling the evil things Terry has done to us. They won't share the screenshots that Heather herself posted all over social media. Why not? Are they scared to spread the truth in fear of a lawsuit? You have told one lie after another on my family with nothing to back it up. A certain someone has a history that your journalists can research and uncover. Why hasn't the media done this? Who are you all trying to protect? Why don't you tell your readers the truth and stop being biased.

Christian Moorer statement of Facebook part 4:

While I am at it let me clear some other rumors up. My family has never used welfare. They have been falsely accused of medicaid fraud which was later put on them to try and cover up some of the search warrant deceit. If they have a case they should bring it on. They haven't brought it to court because there's not a medicaid case, it's just sitting there to make them look bad. They could have made three times the money they made and still had been eligible for medicaid. Also ponder this one. They charged my parents with indecent exposure, then charged them with obstruction because they didn't believe the indecent exposure incident. Which is it? Contradiction at it's finest. You need to choose one or the other. Why haven't people that go on TV with several different stories been arrested for obstruction? From my understanding Bri W has changed her story several times and this isn't obstruction of justice? Fundraiser for us? Around December of 2014 friends set up a Christmas account for me and my siblings. The money was used for our Christmas. My mom and dad have never received a penny from fundraisers. The attorney's are not free. They are paid attorneys. It's shocking at the things people will make up under a fake profile to make themselves feel important.

Unlike you all, I know things about this case that the public hasn't heard yet. I know the truth. I know things that would shock the public and make all of you question what Jimmy is doing with your tax money. I've seen the reports. I know what's going on and it is way past due for this case against my mom and dad to be dropped. There is zero evidence on them because they had nothing to do with whatever happened to Heather. In my opinion my dad was set up. My mom was pulled into it because they thought she'd throw my dad under the bus. Crooked detectives and criminals despise us because we are a strong family who will stand up to anyone for what is right. This is why Terry hates my family so much, because we won't let him bully us. His threats are illegal and he is getting away with it, but he knows he doesn't scare us. This bothers him. I beg all of you that have been bullied and those keeping quiet in the wings just watching to ask questions. Call your solicitor and ask him why he won't get this over with. My family is hurting because of these false accusations. It has killed my grandfather and our baby brother or sister. We deserve to have our lives back and our name cleared. What has been done to my family is illegal and people with common sense know that. I'm not saying all officers are bad. We have dealt with a few good guys in Horry county since this has taken place. They know the truth, and they have compassion for the real victims. It's time for this to be over.
I'm adding links to the bond hearing that brought out the truth. Listen to how the state corrects their lies and calls them mistakes. Mistakes that have destroyed an innocent family. Mistakes that have taken two innocent lives. Mistakes that have caused the truth about Heather to remain a mystery. Mistakes that have cause taxpayers a lot of money. Mistakes that would have never happened had law enforcement, Donna Elder, and the solicitors office done their jobs properly. What ever happened to Donna anyway?

There are also a couple of articles out there that someone was not afraid to post. He has more credible evidence in these two pieces than the Sun News and local TV stations have reported on since the beginning. No we did not hire the guy and no we do not know him, but we do know some of these things the public is hearing for the first time are true. There's a lot more shocking truth that will be exposed if my mom and dad ever get their day in court.
If you want to sign a petition to help the missing google the petition for Britanee Drexel. Her mother is a prime example of how a loving parent goes about finding their missing child.

Stop feeling sorry for the wrong people. Feel sorry for Heather and the things she claims to have dealt with and the reasons for her needing to get away from SC. Maybe Heather is still alive and maybe she is reading this. Maybe she will come home if she feels the public will protect her.

Here are the links to the articles that you all should read and if you don't believe them pay to get background records yourself. And for the record, I was not forced or convinced to do this by anyone. I'm just sick of the stress and heartache this has put on my family. Just to be clear.

M said...

CJ - yes. yes. I understand. I'm just wondering aloud.

Remember that they told us during the first presser that they had pictures of the faces, but then when they released photos, they gave the grainy, outdoor ones. They should have released the other photos immediately. Actually - I think I posted this same opinion in the comments of one of Peter's first articles about Blackburn.

The problem is that the guilt that is absolutely pouring out of him unconsciously, seems to be related to her death. He doesn't just seem like a jerk. He seems like a jerk with years worth of public and documented anger, hatred, disdain and veiled psychological threats against his wife combined with about about a half a dozen different motives. Oh, and he literally ran to multiple national media outlets to "capitalize" and "celebrate" the death of the woman that solved a HUGE problem for him. Oh, and he justifies her death hindsight as "God's will." But not just like normal Christian "take solace in the fact that evrything that happens is God's will." I'm talking damn near verbatim "God popped into the shower with me and told me that he killed Amanda for my benefit, as pastor of an emerging church in Indy."

And then, there's the gun on stage "murder worry" sermon given mere hours before the murder and the publicly documented "romantic" trip a few weeks before the murder. Oh, and he didn't indicate to 911 dispatch that there had been a crime committed.
Oh, and the long, double alibi phone call while his wife lay bleeding out.

He's not just guilty about something unrelated. He's not just a socially inept creeper. AND...I don't care if those scumbag murdering kids confess and don't give him up. There is literally almost nothing that will make me believe the giant stinking pile of "coincidences" are a cosmic accident. No way DB isn't behind it. As Peter referenced "Nobody is that lucky."

But it troubles me so much because the charged killers situation makes perfect sense ALONE. It doesn't make sense with DB in the equation. Why on Earth would those people be involved together? THAT is what troubles me. The connection is so unbelievable and odd. Who hires gangbangers for hit jobs? Is that even a thing? Has anybody EVER done that before? Is that even a consideration for LE? Inconceivalbe that DB - or anybody from outside a gang - would contract a murder with retarded (sorry for using the R word) drooling, drunk gangbanging thugs? They clearly aren't even good at what they do! I don't think DB is particularly bright, but is his IQ low enough and his risk/reward balance off enough to make him think it is a good idea to contract a murder (that he clearly wants to be high profile so as to bring him new followers) with total dipshit gangbangers. It's just too stupid. EVEN if he didn't deal with the killers directly, WHO WOULD GET INVOLVED WITH GANGBANGERS? It's preposterous. Con-un-drum!
Rant over. Peace out. Carry on.

My 20.5 year old cat just died. I came here to get my mind off this afternoon. I have cried and felt more emotion in the last three hours than DB has shown over his wife's and baby's death over a period of weeks. My 20 y/o stoic son has, too, who was with me as we raced her to the vet so she would be sure to die as comfortably as possibly. I am a Christian and am mad that death exists at all. How could DB possibly not have any righteous anger when the stakes for him were so much higher than for a cat?

If DB has nothing to worry about, why hasn't the 911 call been released? It might show he cared.

Is LE possibly saying they aren't exploring DB because it is now in the hands of the FBI? I find it incredibly hard to believe that LE doesn't sense something hinky and have a personal stake challenging DB's actions. It seems to be affecting the rest of us with such fervor that I can't imagine that LE doesn't feel the same confusion at DB's lack of emotion.

Bottle Cap,

"No, I am not under a gag order and I can say anything I wish to say".

This is not a propitious intro to a statement meant to persuade.

I am convinced that every word of the statement that follows is what Christian wishes to say, however I am not convinced that it is the truth, because he does not tell me that his statement is true.

He tells us, instead, that:
• People don't know the truth.
• We have dealt with a few good guys ... they know the truth.
• Mistakes have been made that have caused the truth about Heather to remain a mystery.
• Christian, himself, knows the truth.
• There are shocking truths that will be revealed if his parents ever have their day in court.

If Christian knows the truth, and is not under a gag order, then I only see one reason he is not speaking it, and that is because he does not wish to.

When it came out that DB sat in his car for his call that morning, I thought it was not strange at all and I said as much. As my husband has many times sat outside in our van (or stood barefoot on the porch, etc) talking on his cell phone to someone from our religious meetings due to the private nature of the call. So this is the norm to me.

I mentioned this case to my husband and I mentioned that DB was getting flack for having stayed outside his home for the call. My husband asked me two questions, 1. How big of a house did DB have and 2. How big of a family did DB have? When I told him what I understood to be the approximate size of DB's home and that he had a wife and one toddler, currently. My husband said that it was absolutely odd that he stayed outside. I asked him why, since he himself stays outside often and he said, "But dear, we have a 950 sq ft house with 2 adults and 4 kids, there is literally no where I can go - but outside to have a private call"

So, my perception of whether it was odd behavior of DB to stay outside or not was from experience and I failed to look at the circumstances. In his circumstances, it is indeed odd that he remained outside of the home for his call.

People who are mentally healthy can admit they are imperfect and make mistakes. People who have shame-based mental problems can’t admit they make mistakes and are imperfect When a problem is identified with them, they blame, criticize, or project to avoid feeling the shame of being imperfect.

Davey's words and statements show shame and projection, not guilt. ("We have nothing to hide.") He wanted everyone to believe that others close to him were also prime suspects. Since everyone was to believe that Davey's close associates and family were also prime suspects, he experienced less shame.

I dont know if DB is involved in the murder or not, but:

1. I live alone and have sat in the driveway yapping on my phone for extended periods. Dont ask me why, I just do that sometimes when I'm engrossed in a conversation;
2. DB never shuts his trap. He's an incessant talker. He likely blah blah blahs on the phone 20/7.

I don't think his talking on the phone, taken by itself, is odd at all. It's heartbreaking in this situation in my eyes because of the tragedy happening inside during his yapping, but not odd if it had been a regular old day. Plus, babies cry and that makes for distracting background sound.

Link to PC here:
http://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2015/12/18/charges-blackburn-suspects-attacked-women-days-before-slaying/77573272/

The victim told police she was alone and taking a shower when two men entered her home in Westlake Apartments sometime after 9 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Watson pointed a gun at the woman, ordered her out of the shower and instructed her to lay face down on the bedroom floor, according to court documents.

Watson was rifling through the apartment, prosecutors said, while Taylor held a gun to the woman's head and sexually assaulted her.

Watson returned to the bedroom several times, prosecutors said, and told Taylor to stop assaulting the woman. That's "not what we're here for, don't do that," Watson said, according to court documents. "Stop touching her." That narrative seemingly aligns with what court documents revealed about the crime spree that happened a week later, when Watson convinced Taylor not to kill a sleeping victim in one of the burglarized homes, according to court documents.

The suspect wanted to kill the sleeping women in the prior burglary. It also doesn't sound like the rape victim put up a fight. Amanda may have fought being raped causing the struggle that ended in her being shot.

Excerpted from the PC for the rape case: (paragraph returns inserted by me, for readability):

"On Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, Homicide Detective Thomas Lehn* … was contacted by Homicide Detective Jose Torres. Detective Torres had been following up on a homicide investigation and had taken statements from (redacted) and (redacted) and (redacted) had given police a black ski mask and stated that on 11/10/2015 Larry Jo Taylor had left the black ski mask at their apartment.

Detective Torres, during his investigation was advised that there was a laptop computer at (redacted) in Indianapolis which had been sold to the occupants of that apartment by Taylor and Watson. Believing the stolen laptop might be from a case investigation by Detective Lehn, Detective Torres contacted him.

Detective Lehn then went to that apartment and spoke with (redacted) in reference to possible stolen items that had been brought to the residence by Larry Taylor and a second male known as Jalen Watson. These items included two computers, a flat screen TV, a new (in the box) cell phone and 2 woman’s [sic] purses.

Mr (redacted) turned on a Sony Viao laptop for Detective Lehn. After starting up the computer Detective Lehn observed a picture of a white woman (later observed to be (redacted)) along with the name (redacted) on the screen. Mr. (redacted) stated he did not know the woman on the screen. He also stated that this computer was brought to his apartment by Larry Taylor and Jalen Watson sometime before Nov. 10, 2015 and that they came to his apartment in a black car** that he knew did not belong to either of them."

Notes:
*Detective Lehn was the lead investigator, and author of the PC affidavit for, the Blackburn murder case.

**The car stolen from the rape victim was found on Nov. 15 at Cross Creek Apartments, just a few blocks NW of 56th and Guion Rd (near where LT was supposedly dropped off to meet "Cheese" on the morning of Nov. 10). The make and model of that car has been redacted here.

My husband just laughed and said DB probably organized the 11/3 attack! "Not what we are here for." said Watson. DB could have set up the robbery in order to have the same MO as Amanda's attack. Unfortunately, Taylor decided to rape the 1st victim, hence Amanda being staged to look raped (or actually was, who knows?) Then, CI saying Taylor shot her because she charged him. Far reaching, I know. I just can't buy the coincidences!

Obviously, the police department has grade schoolers responding?

"Thank you for reaching out to us reference this tragedy"

1. First sentence makes no sense.

3. They would NEVER tell a civilian whom they were, or were not, "looking" at.
4. One of NewSpring or DAvey's robots wrote the "email" with very old news for that matter.
5. The writer uses the word "tragedy" 2 x
6. Dec. 3rd? Not even 4 weeks since the "tragedy" and they are responding with a thank you note that says the husband isn't being looked at? NO. WAY.
7. I don't see LE emailing thank you notes AT ALL to people. To much time involved and its stupid. They have better things to do than email thank you notes to people that write in tips.

I guess I'm leaning a little more toward DB deception being something other than knowledge of the murder...I think??? I don't know.

After reading the rape PC it's even harder for me to imagine how DB could have made all those talk show rounds. What his wife went through was even worse than what this poor lady went through.

Alonzo and Donae talk alot about church and God on their FB..Donae seems to be having a problem now with rage and hate tho. Alonzo has been strangely quiet. He doesn't try to hide the fact that he deals in drugs and phones at the very least all the while praising God. If you read more and more about Alonzo he gave several updates that he takes pride in never being a snitch. I think Donae would do anything for her man..it would just depend if she thought it was for "his own good" or for their family to tell all she knows or not. She is the weak link in the chain JMO

The rape victim on November 3 was surprised in the evening after dark when alone in the shower in her apartment. She was raped at gun point. It makes sense that she would not have tried to fight the armed rapist.

Amanda Blackburn was at home in the early morning with her 15 month old son. It makes sense to me that from first to last she tried to resist. As soon as her home was invaded, while being robbed, and while being stripped of her clothing she would have resisted verbally and physically. According to the CI, she tried to fight off her attacker. The fallen lamp and decorative ladder indicate a physical struggle. The CI says her attacker was afraid of being scratched (which would have left marks on his body and his DNA under her fingernails).

I have no doubt that if she hadn't fought back, the man with the gun would have raped her while the others were collecting cash from the ATM. Then he might have shot her. As it was (if a rape kit was used and produced accurate results) he gave up on his rape attempt and shot her to finish things that way.

It may be significant that the rape victim Nov 3 was forced to lie face down and Amanda Blackburn was found face down.

I have had email communication with IMPD on this case. That response is nothing like what I received. The first and third paragraph were obviously form, and the middle seemed to be personally written regarding the particular information I'd sent in. And it was coherent.

In the last paragraph of the rape PC it states that the DNA profile email was received on December 9th. So - perhaps AB would still be alive had they been able to arrest Larry Taylor that day.

I can't remember if I already posted this ... so I'm posting . On Dec 3 , I sent a message to Indianapolis police department, about Treezy Jones being friends with Davey , and now they are not . And Treezy seems to have a connection to Alonzo Bull .
This is their response . Exact words .
"Thank you for reaching out to us reference this tragedy . Our investigators are looking at many possibilities but one they are not is the husband . Thank you for your continued concern for this tragedy . "
I find it very interesting that they made a point that the husband is NOT a possibility .

I don't believe this "note" one bit. It's just preposterous to think that LE would write it to Joe Public. I really wish some of the comments here would not be about speculation. Such as "maybe Davey was having an affair and was on the phone with her" Or "maybe this happened or that". I mean it's human to try and figure out what was going on that day but making up scenarios doesn't help solve this case. You can speculate on it all day but if you don't have the facts your just making guesses and that makes it worse. We have to stick to the facts and not assume anything. Sure these suggestions are very possible but if we don't have anything to back it up then it's pointless. I'm not trying to be mean at all just pointing out that it doesn't help.

To people who are starting to think that DB may not have had anything to do with Amanda's killing because a woman was raped and robbed a week before....correct me if I am wrong but Amanda was NOT raped and she was brutally murdered execution style. It very well could be that they did this to Amanda on their own but the two crimes are not the same. Again I thought we were told that Amanda was not sexually assaulted. She was undressed so maybe an assault was just about to take place but it's just not adding up to me.

I posted before that I thought that bogus email post was from either a Newspring or DAvey robot acolyte. Obvious. I'm surprised they didn't say "event" instead of "tragedy"

Police rely heavily on the public and informants. There are only a finite amount of police that can be assigned to one case. There is no way they can find out the info that wizards on the net can in as little time as they do. I'm sure they appreciate screen shots, postings, friends disappearing and appearing, etc. The one poster that commented she called police because someone (Alonzo?) I can't remember, was selling a gun on FB stated the cop said Whaat?? Told her to hold on and then came back and thanked her and they were on it. That sounded and is probably legit. I would think most cases are made by the public, witnesses, informants, disgruntled lovers, etc. In this case, the sheer volume of things they have to look at is overwhelming I would imagine.
To the poster that was talking about why hire gang bangers? Why not? Davey had a link to one on FB..talk a little here, talk a little there, said gangbanger is tryin to get right with God, blah, blah, and before you know it...a little diabolical plan unfolds. I'm wondering at this point tho..whether DAvey arranged for a robbery and rough up...no death (maybe just hoping for a miscarriage) and Taylor (who seems to be an uncontrollable animal) took it a little to far and murder resulted. I could see that.
That would also explain the "guilty" that Peter is getting but doesn't know guilty about what exactly. Davey doesn't have guilty knowledge of murder, but he does have it about setting the wheels in motion?

According to the Court records its very common for these thugs to have repeated arrests for driving without ever having been issued a license. Is this a cultural thing? The women are supposed to get some type of education/training and hold jobs and these deadbeats don't do any honest work, drive stolen cars and haven't ever bothered to get DLs. Also all these pictures of these gansters flashing crazy amounts of cash on FB and Instagram and then it's very commom that their fines are waived due to being declared indigent. WHY are they declared indigent? LE and the PA have access to these accounts.

Also why are people even questioning if gang members are commonly approached/solicited or asked for a referal to do hits? It's not like someone can find hitman services in the yellowpages or put the word out in the law abiding community that they are in the market, so approaching greedy debauched criminals seems completely likely.

@Anonymous 6:44, good point. Makes sense. Don't investigators study the bullet paths? I know from watching certain shows they can determine where the shooter was standing, how far away they were from the victim, at what angle they shot at, etc. I wonder if they did that and then along with the autopsy determine how it all took place. I only say this because your theory makes total sense but it has to match up with forensics etc. If the first shots were at close range that could make sense but if she was shot from ten feet away for example then that would show he wasn't trying to attack her. Why would you fight a guy with a gun? Unless for her it was instinctive.

Pak31 said...

@anonymous 6:49. You say you feel that because Amanda fought back, then that could be the reason she was killed. She was punched in the jaw a tooth knocked out an shot twice, once in the arm and the other in the back. All of that would have made her unable to fight back. This is my assumption. So at that point he could have raped her but didn't. He could have stopped there. She was knocked out. Instead he shot her in the head. At that point she was not resisting or fighting him. The shot that killed her was administered after she was down. So I agree that the shots that were not life threatening could have been due to her fighting back but the one that killed her wasn't. Was that the shooters choice or someone else's. Why did he watch her bleed?

@Rosy, same as Pak31. I'd do anything and everything he wanted, the whole time sobbing. Amanda was scared of mice, Davey talked about it in one of his sermons where they saw a mouse run across the room and they looked at one another and said "you get it". At that point, Davey admitted he was scared of mice as well. I didn't know her, but she appeared to be more of a gentle spirit rather than a hardened criminal and I think that's what it would take for anyone to charge someone who has just broken into your home, but who knows. Davey also talks about anyone who would dare to enter his home would be met with his gun in their face. Off topic, sorry - have been watching a lot of his footage.

Kate said...

A christian, Indiana man by the name of Todd Erb contacted Davey early on. He reached out because his wife and daughter were murdered in their home as well. A man who used to work for Todd Erb's landscaping company robbed the home and killed both his wife and daughter (I think 2 or 3 kids were not present). A disgruntled, black ex-employee decided to get revenge. The man plead guilty, no trial and is serving life. My point of stating all this is, with the new additional charges, could they or would they change their plea's from not guilty to guilty? Then the show is over, there won't be a trial. They may take a deal for life instead of looking at the death penalty? Anyone else thinking this?

BB; loved your 'rant' post from yesterday and agree with so many of your comments except for one thing. You do not seem to believe that Davey could know someone from a stupid gangbanger thug group who commits burglaries and rapes and how difficult it is to believe that he could have ordered this murder of Amanda.

BB, I wish to point out how you could so easily be wrong in this, only, I will have to give you an example of a personal situation. I have and have had for many years a very close and personal friend with whom I discuss very personal situations; as such, I discussed with her a very bad thing that occurred to a close family member in my own home. She has been and is a very loyal friend who would do anything for me, and between us we were discussing what would be the best thing to do to handle the situation as it involves another family member, whom she also knows and detests for what he did to my close family member. One day she said to me something to this affect:

"____, you don't need to worry about this anymore. I know someone who knows someone who can take care of him for you and no one will ever know how it happened. Just say so and I will get this fixed for you. I don't know the person who knows the person, but I do know the person who will get this fixed if I say so."

OMG, BB! I was so shocked and caught off-guard that for a moment I was speechless. She had just offered to have someone killed for me. Regaining my senses, I said to her; 'no ma'am, you will not do such a thing and I will not let you do such a thing. Do you realize that I would be sending you to hell for causing a murder, and sending myself to hell for letting you cause this murder, and sending the person to hell who commits the murder and sending the person to hell who did this terrible thing? We would all go to hell, you included and it would be all my fault for sending you there." She said she had not thought about it that way, and I said don't ever ever think to do or offer to do such a thing again, and that was it.

The moral to the story is this BB; don't ever think for a moment that Davey doesn't know someone who knows someone who knows someone who could have had Amanda taken care of and none would ever be the wiser. Oh yes, it DOES happen. Davey wouldn't have to know a one of these thugs or ever have met anyone connected to them for Amanda to wind up dead; it could have happened entirely 'down the line' by someone else who parlayed Amanda's murder for Davey's close friend. ABB

Oh, Kate! I forgot about that case!! It was so tragic and senseless! There was also the case with the family up on Springmill Rd. in Carmel. I think that one has been discussed some in the comments.

I've been around the court system just a little over the years. There are few surprises in the court room. I wonder if DB's behavior after the fact would even be admissable.

I think it is reasonable to think that they will work out a plea agreement before a trial. Or, you may see Taylor take his chances and Watson make a deal ahead of time. Watson has more to lose since he isn't the rapist or shooter.

By the way - I've done some shooting, not a lot. I took a beginner hand gun class once, too. It's a lot harder to hit what you are aiming at than you might think. It takes time to aim and hold the gun steady under calm circumstances let alone a chaotic scene with a moving target. Taylor had to have been standing close to AB to hit her.

CJ, your redacted report from 5:18 yesterday reminds me of the redacted report made by officer Bridget Dixon in the missing Haleigh Cummings case in Satsuma, Fl back in about Feb, 2009.

Officer Dixon had gone to Ronald Cummings' mobile home at 2:17 a.m. that morning in response to a phone call made from the landline in RC's MH, wherein the caller had made a call to a private line at the sheriff's office discussing with this redacted sheriff's office individual that Haleigh was missing, obviously seeking secret guidance on how to handle the cover up situation. Officer Dixon had been sent to investigate this call to the private line reporting Haleigh missing.

Officer Dixon had found Misty Croslin (not redacted) outside the MH screaming and crying hysterically and talking on her cell ph, apparently having just learned that Haleigh was missing, as witnessed by several neighbors. Almost as soon as Dixon entered the MH and began talking to the (redacted) crafty person inside who made the call, she received another call to go down to Tommy Croslin's home to investigate some missing rope he had just discovered missing and off she went down to Tommy's where she stayed for a long time; meanwhile, Misty was instructed to call 911 @ 3:27 a.m. and report Haleigh missing.

The redacted report made by Officer Dixon and the phone call made by the 'cover up' redacted individual at 2:17 a.m. was later revealed by a Sgt (now Lt) Greenwood of the Putnum County Sheriff's Office. THIS initial report of Haleigh missing was never investigated and Misty Croslin became the scapegoat and fall guy for the hoaxed up call she was coerced into making at 3:27 a.m., when it was known all along that she was NOT the one who made the first call, nor was she the one who set up the cover up or the instigator of her many lies told while covering up for the guilty party(ies) who were never investigated. So there you have it, it appears that redacted reports do not do much good in the long run, particularly those innocent ones caught up in the tragedy. ABB

Anon @4:11, I believed your post the first time around, just a little surprised that LE was so close-minded about not even wanting to discuss Davey as a possible person of interest when it is a known fact that husbands and boyfriends are statistically on the top of the list for killing their pregnant partner.

I have tried to look at this case rationally and realistically from the beginning and although he gives himself away time after time as being guilty in the knowledge of her murder; it has been clear to me all along that local LE were not interested in investigating Davey Blackburn, otherwise, they would have not let him walk free when they first met with him or in subsequent conversations at the hospital, and certainly not to the extent of him being able to destroy every particle of evidence that might have implicated him, including Amanda's cell ph, computer and diaries, and we don't even know what else; or the next day when they allowed him to have the carpeting cleaned while declaring him 100(+?)% cleared.

I hope against hope, that they are secretly investigating him and are keeping it close to the vest, but since they allowed him to dispose of all the vital evidence, what is there left to investigate? Maybe they have something we don't know about? I sure hope so.

However, they have shown no interest whatsoever in investigating him in the slightest and still don't appear to be. I am though, surprised they are being so blatant about not even wanting to see or hear of any possibilities that he could be involved; not even from those trying to deliver info to their feet. Now THIS is a shocker, so certain are they that he could not have been involved. I beg to differ with them, as we all do, at least most of us do, but what can we do about it?

I've also felt from the beginning that Amanda's family needs to hire an attorney and a PI to get to the bottom of his involvement, which could cost some bucks, but I believe they WOULD find that he WAS involved; but hell, they wouldn't even offer a decent reward for information leading to the apprehension of her killer so they aren't going to do this either, apparently. It's a damned sorry shame, but again, what can we do? ABB

Interesting thing about this case is that taking db out of the equation, I wouldn't find it too difficult to believe this was a random act. Sure it's not typical for a burglary to escalate to homicide, but with drinking and drugs involved I could buy it.

The reason I don't buy it is the astounding number of "coincidences" and db's behavior before and after. The unlocked door, front entry when prior break-ins were through rear door (did perps tell police they saw db leave?), the shooter staying behind when ab must have told him db woulcd be home soon, the calls to unknown #, db sitting on phone in driveway, the tweet about weekly call which seems like alibi building. Connection to perps via tweezy on FB.

The foreshadowing--- book db had been reading which prepared him leading up to ab's murder, the worship is a weapon sermon with shooting and knocking teeth out, the tweet 1 month prior getting excited about said sermon with pic of notes, mg dressed as robber for Halloween 1 month prior.

Behavior after--- lack of emotion, never saying he loved ab, forgiving perps who hadn't asked for forgiveness, selective journal sharing, t-sort sales, new car (has this been confirmed?), sermon at father in laws church... And I could go on and on...

Sone of these things could just be coincidences, but all combined, I just can't believe it. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy and we may never know the truth, but unless there are other factors we don't know about I will never fully believe db is innocent.

This case and the SA regarding it are fascinating. I'm wondering how accurate SA is and what is the success rate of this type of analysis.

Initially, it seemed so cut-and-dry, but recently, possibly not, with even Peter very subtly retreating and considering other possibilities (co-deception).

I hope the truth is unveiled, whatever that truth is, and DB certainly seems to have guilt-induced reactions.

Theres no question that ultimately db was responsible for ab's murder, even if only by means of leaving the front door unlocked. Had the front door been locked, if this was just a crime of opportunity, ab would still be alive. Where's his guilt over that. He should be visibly guilty over that and sitting in driveway on phone while ab lay inside bleeding to death. He should be agonizing over that, not soliciting donations for himself. Who does that anyway? Really disgusted with this man, he's the worst ever!

We know very little about him. At eighteen, he is the youngest of the four (inc. Jalen, Diano, Alonzo) has impulse control issues, and in general seems to be a loose canon.

TO WIT:

We know of one previous charge for Taylor for exposing himself in the parking lot of a retail store. (Summer of '15?)

Nov. 3: Jalen Watson shows up for a burglary, Larry Taylor shows up for a rape. According to the witness, Jalen repeatedly argues with Larry, telling him (shouting) “Stop. This is not what we are there for.” Taylor stops while Jalen is in the bedroom, and continues when Jalen leaves the room.

Nov. 10: When the three suspects realize they have been caught on camera with faces uncovered in the San Clemente apartment they are robbing, Taylor unaccountably wants to kill the apartment owner, and (according to the CI) has to be talked out of this by his mates.

Nov. 10: According to the CI, Watson emerges from the Blackburns and tells Gordon that there was a woman inside and Taylor hit her in the face with a gun. After the ATM transaction they don’t want to go back to Sunnyside Court to pick Taylor up. To persuade them, Taylor (on the phone) says that if they don’t come for him he will kill Amanda. In another call with Bull (presumably) they are instructed to go back for Taylor as he is family.

Back to my question: why continue to include Taylor with his loose canon behavior in your highly successful crew and risk being caught and held accountable for his behavior?

ANSWER 1: You are really that young, stupid and believe in your own infallibility. (We ain't gonna get caught.)

ANSWER 2: The rewards of a life of crime are huge. Doing time if you get caught, no big deal. The inside is just an extension of the outside, you have family to look out for you no matter where you end up or for what reason.

ANSWER 3: Marching orders from higher up. Big brother telling you Larry is family, he goes where you go. You follow orders.

If a criminal organization is operating a hit crew (crime by request) along with a burglary operation, what does that look like? We see in three instances that LT shows up with a different agenda. Is it his own agenda, or did he get different marching orders?

There are a few odd things in the PC about the rape that makes me wonder if the choice of victim, and the assault against her was planned.

First, the time of the crime: breaking in to a residence at 10PM almost guarantees that you are going to find a resident home.

Second, the way the suspects responded to finding the resident home: They would have heard the shower running and her music playing in time to leave undetected. They also could have committed the same robbery while she was in the shower, or barricaded her in the bathroom and shouted orders/questions through the door, which would have prevented her from noticing their identity.

Third, the point of entry. LE found the patio door handle lock was engaged, although the safety bar was missing. The victim says that when she went into the living room after the suspects left she noticed the patio door open. She does not recount walking over and closing/locking it again.

Second, overlooked security measures. This is a high crime complex with many reported burglaries. The victim recounts that friends had visited the evening before, used the patio to smoke and "she assumed" they had locked up when they left. LE also found the window next to the patio door unlocked but closed.

Third, suspect's line of questioning: They asked the victim "where her boyfriend was, and she replied that she was going to get him. The suspect then asked a followup question if she was going to get her boyfriend at 10pm and she said "yes" as that was the time she was supposed to pick him up at work."

Something either got left out of the affidavit or out of the suspect's account here. How did they know she had a boyfriend? Why did they assume that she would be picking him up at 10pm? And why didn't they ask about the whereabouts of the roommate, whose bedroom and possessions were in obvious view in the apartment?

I find it really creepy that in the PC for Taylor and Watson in the rape of the woman prior to Amanda death that they knew she was meeting her boyfriend and that she was meeting him at 10:00. How was that possible? Also I find it odd that Watson would tell Taylor to stop assaulting the victim. Usually these thugs don't have a conscience. Unless they were "instructed" to just rob the place.
Also on another note I just can't believe that LE is saying DB is not involved. Even with the anonymous poster who said LE told him or her that DB is not one of the people they are looking into. How was he cleared so quickly? If he truly is not involved, what kind of proof does LE have to completely exonerate him? How could LE know that quick that he didn't hire someone? That could take awhile to determine. I don't get it.

There are two more details about the sexual assault case that I found odd.

First, the vodka story. The victim who is in the bedroom with Taylor relates that the last time Jalen enters the bedroom he brings a bottle of vodka from the freezer. The bottle is handed to the suspect with orders to drink all of it, and she began to consume it as ordered (how, we don't know, as she was previously flat on her face on the ground and does not mention a change in position).

Why would the suspects do this?

Second, the call to her mom. The suspect relates to police that she got dressed, ran to her neighbor's apartment and banged on the door, and once let in she called 911 on her neighbor's phone. When questioned, the neighbor tells LE that the suspect made two calls, the first one to her mother, the second to LE.

I don't know what to make of this.

So instead of calling 'bullshit ' just contact the IMPD yourself . They ask "do you want us to contact you"?Say yes , and they will answer you .
And again , their quote "Our investigators are looking at many possibilities but one they are not is the husband ."

I'm not giving you my email. I emailed Mr. Kendale Adams myself. Will let the blog know when he responds. If in fact, he did say such a thing, completely unprofessional and I will take it to his superiors. So he would be saying, if you have a tip that Davey could possibly be involved, and its a good one, keep it to yourself cuz we aren't going to investigate.

Not surprisingly, Mr. Adams is a leader in his church, a mentor, and seems upset that the COP was fired by new administration. Mr. Adams also came under fire for posting a tweet in response to the Eric Garner case using the hashtag#wecanbreathe in apparent mockery of people protesting the chokehold death of an unarmed black New York City man.

"Adams intends to continue serving with 100 Black Men and New Horizons Church." New Horizons is a non denominational church not a part of a larger church organization. They are an independent body tho they were "planted" by Eastern Star Church. Pastor Eric Wiggins is the Senior Pastor there, has no religious education, surprise! Used to be a business/marketing man for Eli Lilly and Proctor and Gamble. His Facebook and Twitter haven't really been active since Sept/Oct.

Another "business" run by a marketing man. I asked for a response to my email so I will post when I receive

Besides, I don't think its a stretch that Davey would know any of these guys. He was the baseball coach at Eastwood which is in the same school district as Alonzo and all his buds went to at North Central. There was definitely opportunity for "overlap"

I think Amanda was cooperative, gave PIN numbers, and probably lay face down, until the call between Taylor and the other two.

It was the only call from Taylor's phone, and the CI said Taylor threatened to kill Amanda during that call. We don't know if he told them that. If he screamed it at Amanda. But we can surmise Amanda knew the threat.

According to a neighbor, it was shortly after this call (6:45 to 6:55) that she heard gunshots and a scream. One of the shots was to the forearm as if Amanda's arm was extended toward him.

I think Amanda fought Taylor when he left her no choice. When the threat was to kill her, and thus leave her son unprotected.

CJ,
I also have questions in my mind about why Taylor is with that group. Maybe more so, why Gordon is seemingly along for the ride. Or maybe an intermediary between A Bull and the other two. Gordon seems to have no role in the morning's activities except to keep Bull informed.

As to the rape victim, I do not understand what you are asking. She got dressed. Makes sense to me that she wished to cover her nakedness. Her phone was stolen so she ran to the neighbors. She called her mom. That's natural. So would I. I can guarantee my daughters would also. Then she called LE.

How much do you want to bet that Mr. Adams is also the LE official who came up with the phrase that DB was "100% cleared". Add in to the fact that Mr. Ryan McConnell himself was also standing next to the former IMPD chief at one of the pressers. I'm also guessing McConnell was also the user named "Buddy"'s neighborhood source as Buddy verified that his source was getting constant updates in the case from LE.

I don't know if it's just me but something really, really, really stinks in this whole thing.

CJ, Can you give an example of this crew's success?

They were not successful. They are/were a drugged up drunken clown show reeling from one f*d up sexually exhibitionist violent burglary to the next. They are/were a mix of dregs and wannabees.

CJ said...

rosy at 1:58,

A fair question, and you are right. I don't know; I am assuming.

The sites of the rape and burglary on Nov. 3 and the first robbery the morning of the Nov. 10th are two large apartment complexes that have seen recent crime waves.

Westlake Apartments is the site of the rape, and also where the suspects used to live (according to the sexual assault PC).
http://www.theindychannel.com/news/local-news/westlake-apartments-residents-want-more-security

The Cottages at Fall Creek apartment complex is the site for the first robbery on Nov. 10th, and also the general location of where Bull and Mitchell live. (The address listed for the Cottages is 6802 E 56th St, AB and DM's street address is 5636 Brendon Way Drive).

Between approximately Nov. 18-25 there were 25 burglaries reported at the Cottages complex, and LE believe more were unreported. LE also believes that "the thief or thieves live close to the apartments and that they know the people's habits and when they are away."
http://www.theindychannel.com/news/local-news/crime-alert-issued-for-ne-side-apartment-complex

Given this kind of criminal activity, and given the suspect's proximity to both sites, I would be surprised if they weren't responsible for more burglaries than they have been linked to.

That said, Alonzo and his inept crew (who were also in an out of police custody during the week of the Cottage crime wave) may only be the tip of the iceberg of organized crime in this part of Indy.

First, the time of the crime: breaking in to a residence at 10PM almost guarantees that you are going to find a resident home.
=============
So far reports indicate that this highly successful crew of break-in artists chose to work at 12 noon, mid afternoon, late mid-evening hours (10PM) and pre-dawn morning hours (3:45-7:00AM). On the latter 2 time-frames, incredulous comments follow - why would burglars work at such an hour? And why would burglars mix theft with violence and sex crimes?

First off, these dipsh*ts are dummies. Secondly, they're not that dumb. We don't know their adolescent rap sheets but do know they had practice in terrorizing women. They may also have been sexually terrorized themselves at some stages in their lives. Their leaders and heroes are pimps. Larry Taylor pimped his gf on backpage. If it was she advertised herself there, she could not operate without a pimp.

The pattern of this little so-called KILL gang's crimes includes targeting homes with female occupants. Finding a woman alone may or may not add value to a home invasion. If the woman can be forced to give up debit and/or credit card information, that's advantageous. If the woman fits the bill for sexual assault, then for Larry Taylor, evidence suggests, that was advantageous too (part of his pay-off).

As to whether or not he raped AB and if not why not, I agree with Sus at December 19, 2015 at 1:09 PM in thinking that "Amanda fought Taylor when he left her no choice. When the threat was to kill her, and thus leave her son unprotected." Add her unborn child as another life she had to to protect.

Why would Taylor not rape Amanda after he had beaten her up and shot her? Unknown for sure that he did not. But raping a woman as she bled to death was probably not on his agenda. Need to escape after shooting her, in fear for his life, probably kicked in.

For recent big-league, archetypal examples of violent home invasion in northside Indianapolis featuring rape as well as raids on ATMs see:

Larry Taylor was the shooter. LE will have no problem proving it. They did a nice job pulling together the evidence.

I don't think there will be a problem prosecuting Jalen Watson, either. A murder was committed during the commission of a felony (burglary) which he did. No problemo.

The rest is where it gets strange for me.

Diano Gordon is charged with the burglaries prior to the Blackburn home.
1. He has nothing to do with the November 3 burglary and rape. That MO, which is like what happened to Amanda, is the MO of Watson and Taylor.
2. He did not enter the first home burglarized on November 10.
3. He did not enter the Blackburn home.
4. He did not unload the stolen goods. Taylor did.
5. He did not deal with the ATM. Watson did.
6. He did not deal with bank cards and PIN numbers. He handed the phone to Watson.
7. He did not go back into the cul de sac to pick up Taylor. Watson did.

Look at all the things that Diano Gordon DID NOT do in the commission of buglaries. The things you have to do to carry out a burglary. What was he along for? He only had one role. He kept contact with Alonzo Bull. It was his phone making the five calls to Bull's. Bull called his phone to say Taylor was family and to not leave him.

So we have two getting their hands dirty and taking the risks. Taylor and Watson. And Gordon who is, I don't know, along for the ride and keep Bull informed.
