Tammy Moorer: Indecent Exposure Charge May Bring Civil Suit

Reports are that those who witnessed Tammy Moorer expose herself in public in December 2013 are now gearing up for a civil suit, claiming damages including medical coverage for the retinal trauma, as well as the psychological intervention necessary for what was witnessed...

"Oh, the humanity!" said a  man who did not want his name released.  "Everything was moving, and all in the wrong places.  I started to vomit and passed out, almost choking..."

Another eye witness was treated for shock, and claimed to have been unable to speak for several days, and only now is "coming around", being spoon fed Gerber baby food and still convalescing.

A famous attorney, who asked that her name not be released, was reportedly quoted as saying, "there is suffering and there is suffering, and these people suffered."

Tammy and Sidney Moorer are due in court Monday, March 17th, 2014.

It is not yet known if they will be permitted to wear green jump suits.

Yes, a bit of humor to lighten things up.

Tammy wrote horrific things about Heather, and went on to fulfill her hatred with murder.

The continuous shot taking at Terry Elvis needs to find a new home.

Thank you for this chuckle, Peter. If there were/are witnesses they are fortunate to be alive since 'choking on vomit' can be deadly. (in addition to being a witness to any other actions by the Moorers) This levity was much needed today. Hopefully, you will have even more fodder after tomorrow.

When I read about abused, neglected and murdered children I feel queasy. If people like the Moorers think they can murder someone elses child and spout evil venom towards the childs family then they deserve everything they get IMO! Too many voices for the perps and not enough for the victims. Lets not forget that this wicked pair have still not given up Heather's whereabouts, a heartbroken family are still searching for their baby!

It's kinda sad that Peter feels the need to hypercontrol what is said. He literally goes through the comments and whittles the comment section down to posts that only agree with him, praise what he has said. The crowd that he lets stay up agree with him on every point of every case. It would annoy the hell out of me to have only comments praising every word I say and agreeing with me 100% but obviously this is what Peter requires of his readers. I dont get it.

None of those comments were disrespectful or name calling that I posted. They just didn't pat you on the back for your poor taste in humor.

There is a lot going on today in the case for justice for Heather. Today will be the bond hearing for the Moorer's and the judge is going to hear prosecution's motion for a gag order. Below is a few bits from the news article. The Moorer's attorney has his work cut out for him. I find it interesting that he is representing each one "separately" and the journalist made a point to note this. Hmmmm.

" It's a new twist in the case: the Horry County Solicitor's office has filed for a gag order..

The motion would mean by law, prosecutors and defense attorneys could not talk about the Heather Elvis case before the trial.

Solicitor Jimmy Richardson says it's about keeping the trial where the crime happened. Due to all the attention, he feels a request could come forward to move the trial away, and outside of Horry County.

"One way that you can stop that from happening, is to have everybody stop trying the case in the media," said Richardson.

The presiding judge will decide whether Monday is the right time to consider the gag order request. The bond hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Horry County Government and Justice Building."

It is really sad Peter made fun of the way a woman looks. Very sexist of him. God forbid if he had married a woman who gained weight over time, is this how he would talk to her? Sadly, the answer would be yes. Even more pathetic the women commentors who say how "hilarious" it is! Is it really hilarious when a man makes fun of a woman's weight? Didnt OJ make fun of Nicole Brown Simpson's weight? Yeah actually he did. Not a sign of a respectful man ladies.

The Moorers have 3 children. They, too, are innocent. I wouldn't be surprised if their eldest, a teen, was reading everything written about his folks. Those kids have been through a lot of trauma recently. Why pile it on? Please don't do so in a blog that frequently quotes Scripture. That makes me "queasy" and likely to "choke on vomit".

Anonymous said...

Me too. I am guessing because we don't find it funny to make fun of someone's appearance.

I don't think he cares about the innocent children:( I am still shocked that someone I respected posted this. I think the constant back patting from his fans has gone to his head.

Shanty Irishwoman said...

THIS is why I'm suspicious of the religious. Most speak out of both sides of their mouths with a fist full of stones. They use
"Scripture" to bolster whatever position they've taken.

"What would Jesus do?"

Wasn't He loving towards mentally ill people and criminals? Surely, he would have been accepting to a middle-aged, fat mother of 3 children, regardless of her looks.

Also the things he wrote were extremely degrading like people were choking on their own vomit. Seriously, this is immature, high school bully humor. Tammy may not be a Playboy bunny (apparently this is what Peter values in women is their appearance) but Peter's inner character and how he views women is just as unattractive.

As I read this post I'm reminded of the 16th and 17th Centuries where the accused were put in the public square to be mocked and ridiculed. I always wonder if I'd be brave enough to stand up for the accused. I'm standing up, Sidney and Tammy Moorer are accused of the murder of Heather. The law and God will deal with them. I don't need to mock them.

nice to remember all the great leaders -- who risked their lives and liberty in the persuit of free speech and open discource - not only for themselves but for everyone in their community/country - as far as their fight could reach.

if it's a hard fight here on this blog -- imagine what the founding fathers went through - -and so many before and after -- gives me so much more thought and admiration for people who must live under dictatorships of their country.

what a lesson. I thought maybe it didn'r exist in america -- but good to know it's still something that needs to be protected -- in every corner of life.

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Bond has been denied for the couple accused of kidnapping and murdering 20-year-old Heather Elvis.

Tammy and Sidney Moorer appeared at Horry County Court Monday afternoon for the bond hearing on the charges of kidnapping and murder in connection with the disappearance of Heather Elvis.

The Horry County solicitor began the hearing by reading the charges against the Moorers: one count each of murder, kidnapping, and obstruction of justice, and two counts each of indecent exposure. The indecent exposure charges come after Sidney Moorer said he had relations with his wife in his car, according to Moorer's attorney, Kirk Truslow.

Lemon, I just read the link.
The prosecution is saying one of texts Tammy sent Heather back in Oct was

"To Heather.. by the way dad no longer owns a phone."

Why would Tammy write "by the way dad no longer owns a phone" to Heather. Is Tammy referring to Sidney as "Dad" to Heather?

How does the prosecution know WHO called Heather from the payphone?

A singular camera caught a unidentified vehicle with unidentified passengers "driving back to the Moorer residence from the dock"!! How? How could this one stationary camera know where the car drove too?

If I were the judge, I'd throw out the case. They literally have nothing.

Also the texts from Tammy that start out "To Heather" make no sense. What does your b---is going to get a beatdown mean? I am seriously asking I dont know what your b--- means.

Anonymous said...

the "b-" threw me too.

granted it's very suspicious -- if this was first I'd heard of this i'd say arrest them stat.

but gioven context this is a weak case if they can't get more conclusive evidence.

the weakest part to me is tha heather called sidney's cell a bunch from the landing -- to me - if she gave up calling she would give up waiting too. she could well have drove somewhere else -- saught solace in the drame -- met some other fate and that other party could have returned her car covering their own tracks -- knowing the story.

and if ther vehicle was the kidnop vehicle --- why would they take heather straight back to their home where their three kids are ? why not to some more hidden place to do the crime?

it's a very weak case -- given what they are sharing. I wouldn't say it's clear they are not -- but I'd say it's not clear they are the murderers.

somanyways said...

one thing for sure the mystery remains unsolved.

Anonymous said...

OK, here's what I think. Something doesnt at add up. Tammy sent 2 very angry texts to Heather back in Oct. and then Sidney and Heather's relationship ended. They were no longer in contact. This is why Heather called her friend crying when Sidney (supposedly) called from the payphone early morning after she had gone on a date and was trying to move on with her life. She was shocked and upset when he called her to say "Im leaving my wife for you" since they hadnt been in contact. Why would Sidney have done this out of the blue? Yes, I believe Heather was lured to the dock, but I am not convinced it was by Sidney. If they had been out of contact for mos whywould he have just called her out of the blue?

Statement Analysis Blog said...

interesting post.

I think that either Tammy lured her, or Tammy had Sidney lure her.

I have reasons to believe that Tammy was the dominant one, and that by having an affair, Sidney was threatening her control.

I hope to be able to post an article on this shortly.

Peter

Anonymous said...

somanyways, yes I agree I dont understand. If tgey had hatched this diabolical plan and wanted her to go to the dock why would Sidney not have answered the phone to say "yes Im on my way" to be sure she didnt leave.
Maybe bc he didnt want it on record that he had communicated with her that night and yet he does admit to answering one of her calls on his cell. There is no way he would have admitted making the call from the payphone either. Hmmm. I dont know. I dont get it.

Anonymous said...

Peter, thank you for saying my post was interesting and I look forward to reading your article. I agree with you that Tammy would be the member of the duo who would pose the most threat to Heather. One thing that confuses me is that I cant help but think that there has to be a correlation between Heatger going on the date and the harm that befell her. Someone was jealous. So that makes me wonder 1) who knew of the date? and 2) why would this date and Heather moving on have refanned Tammy's flames of fury (and did either of the duo even know she had gobe on the date?) I cant help but think it had to be someone jealous of her having gone on the date earlier that night.

Anonymous said...

I see no reason Tammy would be jealous of heather having a date with a nice boy her own age, seems even Sidney wouldn't care much about that. sounds like a very sweet harmless evening -- he didn't even come in for coffee after, .

i think it far more likely it was somebody jealous of her having an affair with Sidney. seems that's where her intense passions really lay - and so more likely that was the affair that sparked deadly jealousy.

the date seemed inocous -- by all accounts, friends family - etc.

the affair with sidney however -- carried deep emotional weight.

something occured that night that made that night like no other. somebody reached a point of rage towards Heather, that night - beyond what they had experienced before.

In court Monday, the prosecutor introduced two messages from November:

Nov. 1, 2013

-To Heather.. someone's about to get their a-- beat down.. your b--- is about to take his last breath...

-You can tell me where you are right now or I will find out another way... that way wont have a great turn out for you... I am giving you one last chance to answer before we meet in person.. only one.

-To Heather.. I've been having Sidney followed since Jan. 2012.. it's best you call back and speak to me, save yourself. Hey ...... you ready to meet the MRS?

-Heather responds... I think you are a little obsessed with me. I'm nobody you need to worry about anymore.

Nov. 3, 2013

-To Heather.. by the way dad no longer owns a phone.

The prosecutor also presented timeline of several phone calls and video that was captured the night/morning that Heather Elvis disappeared from Peachtree Boat Landing.

Here is the timeline that the prosecution presented of Dec. 18:

-1:35 am.. phone call from pay phone by Sidney to Heather.. call is 4:53 minutes

-1:44 Heather calls (person unidentified) who is in Florida at the time. And says Sidney just called and is leaving Tammy. Heather appears upset because she had been trying to get her life back on track after the affair and the harassment by Tammy. Heather is still at her home when she makes this call. The call lasts 2:20 minutes.

- 2:29 Heather attempts to call the number Sidney called from, which is a pay phone, several times it does not appear anyone answered.

-3:16 am Heather attempts to call Sidney's phone with no response.

-3:17 am .. Heather calls Sidney's phone and has a 4:15 minutes conversation with Sidney. Heather is at her home at this point. Sidney is at his home which is approx. 3 miles from the boat landing. After this conversation, Heather gets into her car and drives directly to Peachtree Boat Landing. Sidney denies this conversation until police confront him with Heather's phone record and then he says he did talk to her but it was just to tell her to quit calling and leave them alone.

-3:38 am.. Heather attempts to call Sidney's phone. She has arrived at the boat landing at the time of this call. She attempts to call at 3:39, 3:39:46 and 3:41..Her phone data ends at that point 3:41 am.

-3:36 am.. A private residence video surveillance captures a vehicle coming from the direction of Sidney's headed towards the boat landing. This camera is 1.7 miles from the Moorer's residence.

-3:39 am ... a business video surveillance a mile from the first camera closer to the landing captures this vehicle still proceeding in the direction of the boat landing.

- 3:45 am.. same business video surveillance captures the vehicle coming from the boat landing headed towards the Moorer residence. The camera is approximately 1.2 miles from the landing.

- 3:46 am the private residence video surveillance captures the vehicle headed from the boat landing to the Moorer residence.

In his decision to withhold bond, the Judge John said he did so because of the seriousness of the charges, the nature of case and the potential penalty that the defendants face.

that leaves a 4 minute window - for Heather to make last unanswered phone attempt from landing -- the caught-on-surveilance vehicle to meet her at landing -- somehow get her in vehichle without struggle - lock her car door - and drive 1.7 miles back towards Moorers home --

it's possible -- but FAST! no time for talk, no time for struggle - no time for diversion to another location.

is this road a road that could lead lots of places? or pretty much straight shot from moorers to landing? is this vehicle one the moorers have access to?

Yes, those are my thoughts also.
Also, there is the timing of the payphone call. Why did the caller wait until she was home from the date to call her at that early morning hour. Why and how did they know when she returned from the date? Simply put, why didnt they call her at say 11 pm or 12 pm or 10 pm? They must have known she was not alone; she was with the young man on her date. Who had tge knowledge of when she returned to know that was the time to call?

Anonymous said...

Anon, I agree it is extremely fast.
Something about the call to the friend in FL immediately after the call from Sidney from payphone saying he was leaving his wife is odd. The call lasted what? 2 minutes? How was she able to pour out her distress and upset in 2 min? The 2 young women would not have talked for any longer than 2 min about this dramatic turn of events?! I wonder who really picked up the Friend's phone in Fl and was what said in 2 minutes? It may not be exactly what the friend is saying. 2 min is only enough to exchange BASIC info. I hate to say it, but something like what time and place to meet someone at. Did this friend relay info from Heather to someone or from someone to Heather?

Eclectic Mom said...

Maybe I watch Criminal Minds too often, but I don't find the rage against Heather that night difficult to imagine. TM had total control over SM. Who did SM have control over? Heather. But that night she was truly moving on and went out on a date with someone her own age. SM found out and wanted her back. Maybe he even told Tammy. She couldn't allow that, so she works him up in a jealous rage, has him make the phone calls and pick up Heather. All he would have to say is Tammy may have followed, get in and we'll talk. Tammy was either hiding or Sidney took Heather to meet her. Heather was young, impressionable girl trusted Sidney. Moving on with her life, for real, meant the end of it. I believe Tammy orchestrated the whole thing, she was just waiting for the right time. That night was it.
