Good job LE, prosecutor and grand jury. This and the Moorer arrests give me some hope. Now, for the rest of LE, what about Hailey Dunn, Dylan Red wine and so many others. I hope they are paying attention.

I will never learn. I followed a twitter link to a story about Holly Bobo. I should have closed it as soon as I saw it was Chelsea Hoffman's blog. It was written AFTER the charges were read against Zach Adams. Ms. Hoffman, however, continues to ask just how much Holly's brother knew about her kidnapping & in a not-no-subtle way, she blames Holly's brother for not rushing to her defense & instead calling his mother, and on and on. Why is this irresponsible woman seeking to fan the flames against this young man, who has just learned that his sister was indeed murdered? It is shameful and hard to read. She talks out of both sides of her mouth & I find that infuriating.

Ecossie~ Holly was dragged into the woods.
JoAnn-I agree. Sincere thoughts and prayers are the only appropriate response at this time. I am sure her brother has relived hat morning over and over. He doesn't need other people doing it for him too. Peace and prayers for all Holly's family. I hope she is brought home quickly.

My first thought was how awful Holly's brother must feel.

JoAnn said...

Red Ryder,
That's right. I went back to her blog & tried repeatedly to leave a comment, but wasn't allowed to create an account to do so. But it was definitely a therapeutic experience anyway, as I tried to metaphorically hang a shaming sign around Ms. Hoffman's neck.
Peace & loving thoughts going out to the Bobo family and community.

Apparently violence was in hit nature... http://www.newschannel5.com/story/24898062/holly-bobo-suspect-has-history-of-violence-against-women

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- So who is Zachary Rye Adams?

NewsChannel 5 Investigates has uncovered shocking new details about Holly Bobo's alleged killer.

It turns out, Adams has a history of violent assaults against women, including his own mother.

While the 29-year-old unemployed Decatur County man has claimed that he's "not the one," the search of Adams' property over the weekend revealed some potentially tantalizing clues -- including a PT Cruiser apparently riddled with bullet holes.

And court records paint a dark portrait of a troubled man with a history of violence against women.

In 2004, Adams even shot his own mother in the knee at point-blank range with a 9-millimeter handgun.

At the time, Zach Adams was just 19.

In a petition for an order of protection, Adams' stepfather wrote, "We are in fear of our lives," adding that Adams "is a danger to us and the community."

Then three months after Holly Bobo disappeared in 2011, Adams was in trouble again for assaulting another young woman.

Rebecca Earp claimed in court documents that Adams assaulted her "by gripping my neck and pushing me to the floor."

As she tried to get away, Adams "was threatening to shoot me so I turned back around," she said.

That's when "Adams pushed me against the truck and got me on the ground and started hitting me again."

Later, as she sat on the front porch of the house that was just searched, Earp claimed, "When I didn't look at him, he would squeeze my head till I would look at him in the eyes. Then, he would punch me across the porch."

She added, "Adams stated that he would shoot me just like he did his mom."

A month later, investigators went back to the farm to arrest Adams and saw signs that the convicted felon was in the possession of weapons and ammunition.

According to a request for a search warrant, investigators said there were "several targets and items that had apparent bullet holes."

"A black-and-white dog walked up and it had a bleeding wound on its side."

Adams' grandfather said "Zach had shot the dog from the porch."

And just this week, Adams was back in court for the alleged assault last month of Amber Bray.

According to court documents, Adams caused Bray to fear for his safety "by holding a black revolver to her head and threatening to kill her."

"He also pulled a knife on her while threatening to 'gut' her."

After Adams shot his mother in 2004, he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to six months in jail, although the order says he would be allowed to do that time in rehab.

In the second case, he was allowed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail, again getting credit for time in rehab.

The case involving the third woman is still pending.

Adams' Facebook page also shows that he's a fan of the 2008 film Taken, which is about the abduction of a young woman.

He's also a fan of the novel, The Turner Diaries, which is a favorite among the anti-government, white separatist crowd -- although we don't know anything about his personal beliefs.

Didn't his mom say he was not involved?

It's pretty clear from his history this has always had serious issues.

And hearing all this I am not sure what took LE so long.

Still glad to see they are doing something. It's time for these murderers to all be brought to justice.

Justin, Billie, Shawn, Mark, the Celis's... Etc etc etc

Shelley said...

I didn't finish my thought about. His mom saying he's not involved but he shot her in the knee. This is clearly a kid that is capable of evil if he will do that to his own mother.

Wow. Dude is CRAZY and violent. Thanks for the article, Anon!

I really hoped this creeper had Holly stashed away on his property, and she'd be recovered alive. I wonder what they found that made them charge him with M1? One article I read said the police wouldn't say if they found Holly's remains. If they didn't find the remains, wouldn't they just say that?

I thought this quote from ZA's mom Cindy is pretty interesting, in regards to her other son Dylan (who is in the Federal pen):

""I asked him, 'Did you get interrogated?' He said, 'Yeah mom I did. They kept me up all night asking me all these questions about Zachary and Holly, "explained Cindy.

TBI is not releasing any information on whether Dylan or Zachary are involved in the investigation directly.

"I am not saying that either one of them is innocent. I am just saying that as their mother, I am going to believe my children until proven otherwise," said Cindy.

His stepfather knew he was a danger to society and wanted protection from Zachary in 2004.

His mom's soft statements about him seem like a lot of bunk if she and her husband were 'in fear of their lives' because of him.

I am NOT defending Chelsea, BUT, Clint's details of what he saw that morning and what he was doing changed repeatedly.

So naturally, there were many suspicions cast upon him because of these changes in his statements.

I was also suspicious of him, but I AM NOT suspicious of him any more because of what has unfolded the past several days.

I am wondering now IF the changes in Clint's story was done purposefully because Clint and the Bobo Family certainly would have been in danger of Holly's murderer IF anything about him would have been revealed before he was put behind bars, where he should have been years ago. His criminal record is unbelievable -- he shot his dog and shot at his mother !

I never thought this case would be solved ... but there is hope !

This has thrown me for a loop. I guess I knew this is the way it would end, but I still fell so sad for the Bobo family.

It seems Zach Adams became more emboldened with each crime and no consequence. I'm glad to see his days of terrorizing a community are over...or soon to be.

I'm surprised, and encouraged, to hear news of an arrest in this case.

Every time Zachary committed a violent act, he got rehab. When you point blank shoot your mother in the knee and there's no price to pay, what's to make you ever control yourself? Even now, his mother says he's just an addict, no reason to think he would do anything violent? Mama may be crazy too!

Unfortunately, denial is a powerful force in dysfunctional family systems.

Lemon,
And mothers of sons seem to practice it best. Why is that?

OT. Myra Lewis.

Re Language Barrier.

Some people have suggested that there maybe a language barrier. I myself said if there was, they could have someone read a statement out pleading for here safe return.

I have found her mothers FB page, her last entry was on the 3 march when she changed he profile picture to a photo of Myra. What is strange, is that her cover photo was changed on that day too, to what looks like a super market?

Looking through her pictures and the entry's underneath, her English is perfectly normal, if it his her that wrote them. If it is then why has she not made a statement? There are no posts i can find pleading for her safe return on her page.

There are only a few pictures of Gregory Lewis Myras father, 3, 5 maybe five at most, all dated last year. I can not find him on her friends list. I can not find a fb page him.

There is a find Myra FB page. I don't know if this was set up by the parents a family member or friend?

John,

Interesting about the background picture of the supermarket. This makes me wonder if she is attempting to cryptically communicate with someone.
My instincts are that this woman is a victim of spousal abuse, felt that Myra was in danger from the father and brought Myra somewhere to hide her from him. This is going on statement analysis also.

Anonymous said...

John, extremely interesting info you posted.
Does anyone think the father in this case could be setting up the mother?
From the sound of the mother's facebook page, this sounds like someone who might be setting her up changed the background picture.
What if the mother is telling the truth that she told Myra and her sister to go back inside the house and then left to get groceries?
Could the father setting her up explain the conflicting beliefs: mother thought Myra was with the father (maybe she was) and father supposedly "thought" Myra was with the mother?

JoAnn said...

John,
The supermarket cover photo is actually a photo of Myra & a sibling (probably) in the grocery cart. Maybe just inept at sizing photos for cover on FB?

Anonymous said...

Joann,

That's kind of weird she JUST put that up though.
If she is being abused, it is possible the husband controls her facebook. If he put up the picture, it is like saying "see, Myra was with my wife at the grocery store, not with me."

john said...

Thanks Joann.

My sympathy is with the Bobo family.

What a terrible fate for Holly.

To know that their daughter, Holly was abducted and murdered by a guy on parole, who lived relatively close to the Bobo's residence who had perpetrated violent acts upon his own mother, two young women, and a dog using a gun and a knife.

I hope that this man is put away till he dies. He is a cold dangerous man who will wound and/or kill again.

Schools are doing less and less to stop and consequence serious disciplinary issues in schools. Kids are learning from a very early age that they can get away with it. Teachers can frequently pick out the kids who will be menaces to society later in life. What makes it even better is when these kids have parents that also refuse to deal with it.

Chelsea is a "woman", I use the term lightly, who calls herself a criminal profiler-no credentials whatsoever, just a blogger who tells flat out lies claiming them to be fact. She has accused Clint from day one & that's not likely to stop now-either she has a real problem with him for some reason or just doesn't have it in her to admit she was wrong. From what I've heard, clint knew it was Zach and told LE it was; it was LE's decision to keep it quiet thinking they would release her and later, likely to protect the family by not letting him know he was identified. Why he didn't stop it will likely come out at trial. CH also vehemently defends the Moorers. Odd, it seems she's always on the side of the perpetrators, I wonder why that is? She's hurt Clint terribly with her accusations and instead of issuing a public apology as she should, she'll simply continue. JMO, she's a despicable person that needs to be stopped. A nice lawsuit for slander & defamation ought to do it, as she posted outright lies as facts, causing others to also become suspicious of him. When her boss demanded she cite her sources, she couldn't. She had no sources.

Nashville defense attorney David Raybin, a former prosecutor, said the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation must have had some sort of break in the case, given the recent flurry of activity, including multiple search warrants. Raybin said prosecutors may have decided to charge Adams because they didn't want the case to get any colder.
"They may have concluded that they will never find a body and the case is not going to get any stronger," said Raybin. "Witnesses die and evidence evaporates. It could be that it was now or never."
A Decatur County grand jury indicted Adams, 29, of Holladay, Tenn., last week on the charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder.
Bobo was abducted the morning of April 13, 2011, from outside her home in Darden, Tenn. Her brother told investigators he saw a man wearing camouflage walking her into the woods.http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/03/11/holly-bobo-suspect-in-court/6307235/
