Tammy Moorer Moved

Ambitious photoshopping

Tammy Moorer has been moved to another facility and both Moorers are in segregated custody, for their own protection.

Tammy Moorer was moved from Horry County to Georgetown County, though officials have not disclosed why.

Given the couples complaints about being harassed in the community before their arrests, it may be the same while in custody, and this is something that may continue while Heather's remains are missing.

Both are due in court March 17th, 2014.

I hope they are both feeling fear (it's not very nice of me to say that) mostly because of what they have inflicted upon others but also that one might break and give out the information the Elvis's so desperately wish for. Maybe they could segregate them for 23 hours a day, then release them into the general population for 1 hour a day? That 1 hour would feel like an awfully long time for them! ;-)

OT: 2 year old goes missing. She wasn't seen after 10am but police not called until 4pm. http://www.wlox.com/story/24863764/mother-of-missing-child-pleads-for-childs-safe-return

She has a little less of a smirk in this Georgetown County mug shot than in her Horry County one...

I'll join in and make fun of her looks when the police say what the evidence is against the 2.
I have never heard of 2 people being arrested for such an extremely serious crime without police saying what evidence they have found.
In the part of the USA where I live police even release specific info and/or evidence that they have used to get search warrants in similar missing person/homicide or suspected homicide cases. These 2 have been arrested and charged with serious crimes. I hope I am not blamed for wanting to know what the evidence is.

I'm just reading that Tammy and Sidney were illegally receiving food stamps. Does anyone k now if that's actually been proven or if it's just a theory related to the "financial discrepancies" reported to the State of South Carolina?

Anonymous said...

Also, I have a question. I had read that someone affiliated with LE had said they could not say what evidence was found because it would be "improper" to say whether they had found her (Hesther's) toothbrush or blouse. How come police in my state dont feel that releasing that type of info is improper? I can back this up by citing specific cases where police have released exactly the types of info that LE down there is saying would be "improper" to release.

Anonymous said...

Anon @ 10:22, I dont know if that is true or theory. More info LE hasnt released I guess.

maybe it was Tammy's strap-on that had DNA on it

I wonder if her being moved is related to information that led to the reenactment and the dive at the landing? Several news articles said they were mapping the tides and currents to look for evidence. She was moved Wednesday for "safety" reasons. Thursday and Friday LE did the forensic reenactment and search.

While she may hev photoshopped this photo, I have seen a number of her pics on her pages FB, Disboards. When she was younger she was quite pretty. Her looks hardened, especially in past few years. Many celebs use this stuff called high definition powder that gives their skin an airbrushed look in photos. (If they use too much, especially if they have darker skin, you can see it around thier eyes and under their noses.) I think TM might use something like that. She does have nice bone structure.
In the end though, true beauty comes from within and in shown in actions and shines through the eyes, the windows of the soul.I will not disparage Tammy for her exterior self but if she know where Heather is, she could come far in redeeming herself by having mercy on the Elvis' and restoring Heather to them. As a mother, one would think she would understand how much this would mean.

I'm hopeing that someone talking is the reason for the new search and re-en-actment. Maybe Tammy spilled it, and that is why she was moved. One or both of them know what was found in their home or cars. Surely their attorneys asked what was found, and advised to try to talk up a deal.

Anonymous said...

I too wonder about the reenactment. Was it based on any new info?
What new info could have led to the need to reenact something for which there could be either 2 things that happened? She was either put in the water or she wasnt. It seems they should have been considering tides and currents earlier since they must have suspected from Day 1 she could have been put in the water. To wait this long to start thinkingabout tides and currents seems like they may have wasted valuable time.

I think she's probably being harrassed in jail because it's a well-known case. The guards were probably egging the prisoners on, possibly even encouraging the prisoners to harm her or leaving her cell unlocked which would make her vulnerable to assault. Sounds like someone higher up new it wasnt a safe environment and moved her. Just a theory.

I cannot imagine in jail why Tammy would be a target.

I mean, this is not technically a child. Usually prisoners that are target were abusing children. Not always, just typically. She could be a target just because (a lot of times prisoners are just evil for the sake of being evil) but it appears this was some more specific.

But considering she is in jail with people that do the same types of crimes… I cannot imagine that she would be a target for possibly killing the woman that was having an affair with her husband.

Don’t take that wrong, I am NOT blaming Heather…….But I am just thinking that the jail population would not likely be against her for that type of crime.

I do however think it was more likely she talked and threw her Terry under the bus. And that she was moved away from that jail and from HIM for her safety.

Just my thoughts.

Hi Anon 10:05 & 10:28-

The answer to your concerns about LE's refusal to release evidence about their ongoing investigation is very straightfoward. It is the law of North Carolina.

NC General Statutes, Chapter 143-1.4 states:

§ 132-1.4.  Criminal investigations; intelligence information records; Innocence Inquiry Commission records.

(a)        Records of criminal investigations conducted by public law enforcement agencies, records of criminal intelligence information compiled by public law enforcement agencies, and records of investigations conducted by the North Carolina Innocence Inquiry Commission, are not public records as defined by G.S. 132-1. Records of criminal investigations conducted by public law enforcement agencies or records of criminal intelligence information may be released by order of a court of competent jurisdiction.

Here is the link, more information is detailed: (It's about 3-4 paragraphs down)

In one of the earlier articles, I read Tammy was moved because the first location only has 3 cells for female offenders.
I know 3 is the liar number, lol. It was an article, but I have an old lazy dinosaur iPhone so I'm not going to hunt for it! LoL I remember when I read it, I thought, oh, yeah, I see! for I thought, at the time, other reasons may be the cause.

Well, Jen, if that is true, it would certainly create a climate of nontransparency where the police could act and arrest without cause.
I wonder if that is why Mr. Elvis had written on his fb page asking the 2 men who had made the fake texts to contact HIM, so that he could make it so they wouldnt go to jail. (Meaning, if LE does not have to explain why they arrest and charge someone, perhaps regular citizens have a say and can influence in whether they feel an individual should or should not be arrested?). Up North, people who are not members of LE cannot "make it so someone else wont go to jail.

Jail director Tom Fox said the move was for Moorer’s safety due to threats made against her husband Sidney before the two went to jail. Sidney Moorer is also charged in the missing 20-year-old’s case.

“The solicitor’s office had requested it, but it’s not out of the realm to separate two co-defendants involved in a case,” Fox said. “We do that periodically, especially if it’s an important case. It’s also for security reasons because of the threat level she had against her in our jail should be reduced when she goes to another jail. The high publicity in Horry County, it will allow her better access to more privileges and more time out.”

Another article I read said that there had been no specific in house threats against TM, it was just a precautionary move.

I see in first jail photo, Tammy has a dark circle under one of her eyes. This pic the dark is gone but she got some bird's nest hair going on. My guess is Tammy is sleeping ALOT, probably hoping when she woke up, she would be home. Her face looks like she is pleading with the camera to get her out of here! She has a self-serving attitude so that's what I see. She looks hard but has beautiful skin and cheekbones. I thought the make-up pics to be from a younger time of her and her husband.
I saw her dad's mugshot for the little physical fight years ago, Tammy resembles him very much so.
I care more about her children and their future. I pray there is someone to help them youngsters. They may be stronger then we think for they lived it.

Heather went missing in South Carolina not North.

Not everyone in jail is a murder, especially in county jail vs prison. A lot of lower level crimes, drugs, prostitution, DUI , shopliffting and people want answers. I could see a lot of anger that the other jail inmates have towards her what this thing such a high profile case and such sick and twisted individuals involved.

QChick said...

Maybe LE moved her to instigate uncertainty between the two hoping for more info.

Oops! Thank you polywog, I had several tabs open, and I got myself confused.

So, their jail had men and women mixed together with only 3 female jail cells (would this be 6 women)?! 6 women amongst tons of men??? Up north we dont have jails like that where 6 women are together with men in jail. It sounds horrible, and unlike anything I've ever heard of even in minimum security. I have a sibling who worked for yrs in a men's minimum security prison (2 yrs maximum stay) and I can tell you no way in hell would they have put women inmates anywhere in the same jail as men!

Red Ryder has the info above. They don't want to house to co-defendents at same Detention Center, their practice to move one to another location. My info was updated.
Below link to page that describes first detention center Tammy left. There is a female separate building/area from males...

Jerseyjane,

Thank you for explaining that the men and women are housed in separate buildings. It still serms a bit odd IF during outdoor activities (outside time) the men are able to speak to the women (even if out of windiws or by yelling from another prison yard). This may not be the case as they may be fully separated otherwise the females would be subjected to harrassnent. Separating the codedendants seems like a good idea particularly if there is interaction of any kind (communication) between male and female inmates.
